We checked in and ultimately left shortly after arrival due to the condition of the property and safety concerns.Upon arrival, we encountered an individual on a neighboring property handling what appeared to be a hatchet and engaging in erratic, repetitive movements on the front porch. This raised safety concerns for our group.We initially had difficulty accessing the front door, but were able to enter through the rear using the code provided. Upon entry, there was a noticeable musty odor. We also observed multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues, including visible stains on walls and surfaces, debris in furniture, uneven flooring, exposed or poorly finished areas around fixtures, and a stair railing that did not appear properly secured.We left the property and, upon returning briefly, the situation outside remained unchanged, which contributed to our decision that it was not reasonable or comfortable to stay.We contacted the host but were unable to resolve the situation. Communication was not productive, and we were told our presence at the property was unauthorized despite using the provided entry code, and were asked to cancel the reservation from our side.Based on our experience, the property did not match the expectations set by the listing, and we would not stay here again
