House is a two-minute paved walk to Pirates beach. Relax on the generous deck and listen to the waves. Views of the ocean can be seen from anywhere in the kitchen/dining/living areas. Modern kitchen is fully stocked. Great house for allergy sufferers with air purifiers in each of the bedrooms. Perfect location on the west end of Galveston where there are fewer crowds, yet still less than 20 minutes from Moody Gardens and 25 minutes to the Historic Strand District. Large backyard area perfect for games or grilling. Shower downstairs is perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.

The home provided excellent access to the beach. We loved the quiet neighborhood as well as all the amenities. The property is a bit dated and some areas such as outdoor swing downstairs and balconies need repair and updates. We enjoyed the property and received immediate response and concern from the hostess Angela. We will return!

Fantastic place to stay! This is 3rd time our family has stayed at this house and again we had a fantastic time! It is in an incredible location, quiet street and what feels like a private beach. We had a minor issue a few days in and Angela was super responsive and resolved the issue so quickly. We cannot wait to come back next year!

Great house close to beach, needs a few updates

We loved the house and location. We always stay in this neighborhood bc of private beach access and relaxed vibe. The house itself was great minus a few things. I would give 5 stars but a couple of things for our personal family makes me rate it 4 stars: 1. There was dust bc it looked like the last person there was there a month before. There was still some trash and random things underneath places like the bed. There are a couple of janky chairs outside and we found some random rusty screws. ALL of those things were found by our 3 year old. 2. We choose houses 95% for cleanliness bc we have a kid allergic to dog dander/hair. One bed had short black (probably dog) hairs so she didn’t sleep in that bed. The others were clean. 3. It advertised shampoo/conditioner/dishwasher liquid but had none. Found some cheap at the dollar general 5 minutes down the road but it was an extra trip and money. 4. I always pick up paper plates and cutlery bc most houses only have enough for 4-6 people. I need more that that when cooking and serving. Also, there were no oven mitts so we used a beach towel. Overall, if the kids were a little older without allergies, it would be excellent. Pros!!!: about 5 houses from beach, multiple balconies, family games, some books, tv in each room, dvds and dvd player in bunk bed room, on quiet part of the west end, ice cream truck comes by on Saturday evening, great kitchen area for cooking, has most supplies needed. Great for most families!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home with great views of the ocean. It had everything we needed and Angela was such a responsive and kind host. We over from the UK visiting our son in Houston but would love to come back and stay again in this perfect place!

Galveston fix

Fantastic trip!

This was our families second year staying at this house and we absolutely loved it! We came in the day after TS Alberto hit and while the tide was high the first couple of days, the weather was gorgeous, the waves were so much fun for my 7 yr old boys to ride and we found so many amazing seashells! We cannot wait to book the house again next year.

Pirates Beach trip

Our family enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the beach and views are great. The neighborhood is also very nice and quiet if you’re wanting to stay away from some of the other busier beaches. The house was the perfect size for our group and met all of our needs.

Weekend getaway

We had a great weekend getaway at Angela’s house. The location was perfect …the neighborhood was beautiful and the beach was just a short walk away. The house was clean and very comfortable for our family. Angela was available for a chat and she was a hospitable hostess. I would recommend this home for another beach getaway.

Vacay with grands before school starts

This is our third annual vacation with daughter and grandkids. We love this house because it is two minutes from the beach and very open and bright. House is perfect for multi generation families. My granddaughter calls it “our beach house” since she has been coming here since she was only one! 😊

Perfect Beach Getaway

This home is literally steps away from the beach! We were there for a long weekend to soak up the sun and relax. The house was clean, well-decorated, and nicely stocked. Communication with Angela was prompt. We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to a return visit.

Amazing house with a gorgeous view!

We had a blast on our week long stay. The house was stocked well with dishes, the beds were comfortable and the porch view was fantastic!!! The shutters were a huge plus, it kept the rooms dark which helped my 7 yr old twins to sleep in! The house is around 200 steps to the water. Will definitely come back!

You won’t find any better!

This property is practically perfect! My husband and I took our three young kids to the beach to celebrate the end of our school year. Everything from check-in to check-out was awesome. The beach is a 2 minute walk to the end of the quiet cul-de-sac. The beach itself was clean and quiet. The house was very clean and homey. It had everything you could want - a complete kitchen with a few staples (salt and pepper, aluminum foil, cling wrap and quart ziplocks bags), two clean and cute bathrooms complete with extra towels and toilet paper, a master bedroom, guest room and bunk room with noise fans, folding chairs and sand toys in the outside shower. The bunk room had a basket with miscellaneous games. We ate at Waterman’s and Mario’s Pizza - both were delicious! Angela was super sweet and prompt with the few questions we had. We will definitely be returning!

Family Retreat

We love everything about this property! It is a perfect fit for our small family of 5+1. this was our 4th stay. The location is superb, just a few houses back from the beach with a great view of the water from the deck and living room. The spacious living area of the house is full of light, the kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are comfortable. The palm trees on either side of the house are a great asset as they provide a some privacy from the neighbors when we are on the deck, but don't interfere with the view. Our happy place. Thank you to the owners!
