Your Adventure Basecamp In Marble, CO

Susan, We are happy that you had a great stay! Thanks for the great review. Cheers!

Brett, You guys had an adventure before you even arrived. The rains that caused the flooding and mudslides in both the Crystal River Valley and Glenwood Canyon were out of the ordinary - some stories have cited studies that say some of the rain in Glenwood Canyon were 500 year events. We are thrilled you made it and that your stay was five-star! We'd also like to thank the hummingbirds! Cheers!

Robin, thanks for staying at our cabin! We hope you had a great time.

We are happy you enjoyed your stay! The outdoors is the best part of the Marble experience and we are happy the property added that "perfect" touch.

We are happy you enjoyed your stay at the cabin! Thanks for the great review and hope you come visit again.

Tanya, we are so happy you had a great time in Marble and at our cabin. We love hummingbirds and just sitting on the deck, too. As for the mudslides up the road to Crystal City and the Crystal Mill, we are grateful for the moisture and just glad the issues resolved quickly. As you probably know, the West has been in a multi-year drought and we are grateful for the rains this year. Cheers! Come back and stay with us again!

Sheryl, We are happy you enjoyed your stay and found the cabin worth 5 stars in spite of the sulfur odor in the hot water, and we appreciate your feedback. We are working with a local water treatment company to get the filtration system dialed-in to remove the hydrogen sulfide odor. Before listing on VRBO we lived in the cabin full-time, we understand the sulfur odor is an inconvenient but common occurrence in well water in the area, especially when the water is heated. We find it unfortunate that it deterred you from showering. We appreciate your remarks in the review and we will strive to keep future guests informed as we work to better the situation. Take care and I hope you choose to come back and visit us again. We agree, Marble is very beautiful!

Allen and Christina, Thanks for the feedback, we use guest information to make improvements to the cabin. The sulfur smell and iron (yellow tint) in the well water is common in the Marble area. We have a filtering and softening system that was installed by Culligan. The slight yellow tint means we need to replace a filter cartridge ahead of schedule, typically this needs replaced every six months. Marble may never have cell service, just not enough market. However, we offer the best wifi service available in Marble, SpaceX's Starlink, capable of streaming video calls, movies and wifi calling. The connection is open so that guests can connect immediately, like most guest networks. I am taking your feedback seriously and will add something in the VRBO profile but please know we try to inform guests HOW they can prepare for the remote cabin experience. Cheers! We hope you enjoyed the wilderness and natural beauty that Marble offers.

John, we glad youand familyyou enjoyed the stay and that you understand the well water issue and the sulfur smell. The water is what it is! There are many folks we know in Marble that have to truck in water or visit a local spring to get cooking and drinking water.

Thanks for the wonderful review! We heard all about you through Kristie's parents, Russ and Deb, and are so happy you were able to rent the ATV and have a great time. Cheers!

Glad you had fun exploring! Cheers!

Andy, we are happy you enjoyed the cabin and your stay in Marble. We really appreciate the honest review. We charge $100 cleaning fee and then guest have a choice to do a $59 damage insurance fee or a fully refundable damage deposit. That is all we charge. Of course, lodging taxes are in the mix and the rest are VRBO fees.
