Great family spot

We had a great time at the Spring Lake cottage! We took the kids to Michigan adventure, which was less than a half an hour away, and got to enjoy the amenities of Spring Lake boating, as well as grand Haven beaches. There was a nice little beach within walking distance that we utilized as well. The house was clean, updated, and we had a wonderful time! Super close to restaurants and the grocery store and not as busy as grand Haven, which we preferred. Would definitely recommend!

Very comfortable cottage. Well supplied with dishes, cooking equipment, towels, comfortable beds, close to Grand Haven downtown area. Having 2 bathrooms and showers was great.

Great property in an amazing little village neighborhood. Short walk to the beach at Spring Lake, 10 min to Grand Haven or various parks/beaches. Nice little downtown in Spring Lake accessible via trail (about 1.5mile walk). House has what you need- two full bathrooms, washer dryer, kitchen, nice deck out back and a large dining table. Bedrooms work well - on the smaller side but works just fine and includes dressers. Plenty of parking room. City water so it is easy. Clean and relaxing cottage. Happy with the stay and the quiet neighborhood! Thanks.

Charming Little House by the Lake

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend of July 4th, and we loved it! Great location (walking distance of a small lake, quick drive from Lake Michigan), well-equiped backyard (fire pit, grill, and full table/chairs), and a cute indoor area with a modern kitchen and charming bedrooms. It was the perfect place for our group of 5 to relax and unwind.

Beautiful little getaway

We loved our experience here. Location is excellent and the house is beautiful. If youā€™re a hot sleeper, you might want to bring an extra little fan or two since there arenā€™t any cieling fans upstairs (but they did have at least one available!). Looking forward to coming again.

Charming & Cozy

The house was exactly the way it was described online. Had all of the accommodations we needed. Was very neat & clean. Close to the lake, which was great for beach day, fishing & walks in the evening. Very close to great restaurants & groceries. Owner was easy to reach & communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Cozy in Spring Lake

My family and I had a great time this past weekend in Spring Lake, MI. The community is quiet and the cottage is a short walk from Spring Lake. It is only a ten minute drive to Lake MI. Rhonda had great recommendations for eating and beach adventures. We look forward to returning to the Grand Haven area soon!

Cozy cabin

We had a very lovely stay in this cozy cabin. Very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor patio was a nice place to grill and eat dinner and in the evening we put the stringed patio lights on for a nice ambiance and had bonfires. It was also nice to have a few beach chairs and umbrella for the beach. Highly recommended! Thanks for a great visit!

it was a great location as we attended at wedding at the country club.

for the host, I left a note the shower upstairs shoots water up, getting the bathroom floor all wet, it needs to be fixed, was unhappy about that

Beautiful Location

We had a fabulous time at this location. Its proximity to a small beach is amazing and the town amenities are great. A few notes on the house to keep in mind, the upstairs bathroom didnā€™t have an exhaust - bummer. The stairs are pretty steep and make quite a bit of noise. The kitchen is so cute and cozy and the backyard deck is perfect for a cook out. The kitchen table and deck provide great room for the family to sit around and enjoy the space together.

Lovely Spring Lake Cottage

Our family enjoyed this sweet little house in Spring Lake while we visited Grand Haven for a soccer tournament. It was the perfect distance from the beach (10 minute drive) and was a relaxing home to return to each day. Grateful that a coffee pot was provided, as well as a toaster (for Great Harvest Bread in the morning). :) The shower upstairs is super warm and full blast (very enjoyable). The beds were cozy and we appreciated the extra blankets and air conditioning units in the windows upstairs. Thank you!

The pictures do not do it justice

The property was perfect for our needs in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the lake. The house was clean and well furnished with all the amenities mentioned in the listing. The rooms themselves were small but comfortable and our group had no complaints. Bill and Rhonda made sure that we had everything we needed and were great to work with. The only other thing I would say is that the pictures do not do it justice! One other thing to note is that there is a narrow and somewhat steep staircase to get to the bedrooms on the second floor. Our group had no issues at all, but I could see how others might.

Cute home in great location

We planned a trip to Grand Haven for the first time. We were hoping this would be an easy commute to Grand Haven, and it was! Spring Lake is very nice too. The home is smaller than it looks in the pictures, but it is still very nice. Cute furnishings. Clean. Older cottage that has been updated. Nice yard with fire pit and fence. Patio was great with table and chairs and very private. Nice neighborhood to walk. Owners were easy to reach by text and responded quickly. There was no information at the home as to how to do check out. It would be helpful in there were check in/check out/information online or at the home. Some little quirks to the house, but nothing that would ruin your day. Bedrooms get pretty warm in the summer. There was one box fan upstairs, but two of the bedrooms have no air registers ran to them. Tried to keep the doors open as much as we could.

Both pros and cons to this property:PROS-*Cottage is just as pictured. Very cozy, AC units were great, & quiet neighborhood*Home very clean, although could use a hearty "spring cleaning" like under beds. (I dropped an earring & under the bed was pretty bad)*All beds really comfy*Shower is AMAZING*The "Small Kitchen", didn't seem that small, & we cook a lot*Furniture is great; not old & worn like many properties* There is the lake just down the road about a block away, but I don't think this should be considered the beach if that's what the listing is referencing. The actual beach to Spring Lake is a bit further, but still walking distanceCONS- *The outdoor patio is great, but it would have been appreciated if the deck, chairs,& table were cleaned. All were REALLY dirty & I had to power clean before using* Only one side of the grill worked, but this too did not appear to be cleaned in awhile so we didn't use it*Stairs up to the bedrooms might be difficult for some. Steps are tall and I had difficulty with bad knees. My family had no problem*2 door handles to bedrooms need to be tightened as they're close to falling offNote to owners- A shelf in kitchen for pans needs to be fixedSuggestions-*Bath mat in main bathroom*Add Broiler pan & strainer in kitchen. But we cook a lot!*Supply a few cleaners, garbage bags, blow dryer, first aid kit, pot holders*Fix deadbolt on door to patioOVERALL- GREAT visit & very good property but could use a few tweaks. Beach Weekend

Overall this was a very cute house and served our purpose for a relaxing girl's weekend getaway. We liked that its location is close to Grand Haven and the local little private beach in the neighborhood was a nice bonus. The house seemed clean and quaint. There were coffee pots and filters and a few supplies in the kitchen. We did okay, but the stairs were a little steep, narrow and awkward, so some could have trouble navigating the stairs. We thought it was a little dark in the house, so more lighting could have been helpful. The couch was comfortable but there wasn't really a great spot for many to sit around and be comfortable. The other chairs in the main room were just okay. We did like that most of the upstairs bedrooms had a window AC unit (one did not but had fans). The bedrooms were a little smaller than we expected but worked for our purpose. We didn't use the outside seating area. We didn't see any information left for guests as far as a welcome book, or things to do around town, so that could be helpful for local favorites. The hosts answered questions when I asked them and seemed very nice, but didn't receive much info other than that. Overall this place was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. We mentioned the above only for information, it wouldn't deter us from staying here again sometime. Thank you for having us!

We couldn't resist the neighborhood and the amazing yard. We picture our grandchildren playing here. The home is "just right" sized. It's close to everything, but in a quiet and comfortable setting. The large driveway offers plenty of parking.

The yard has a courtyard and a vine covered arbor entrance. We enjoy watching the birds in the trees and sitting in the quiet backyard. You can see the Lake from the front yard, and enjoy walk down to the waters edge.
