Relax and enjoy the mountain air in our cozy 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin in the heart of the peaceful Mi-Wuk village. You'll fall in love with the cabin's rustic charm while enjoying all the modern amenities (Blazing fast Wifi, flat screen TVs etc.). You'll love preparing meals in our fully equipped kitchen or grilling on the deck amongst the trees. There are games to be played and movies to enjoy. For day trips, the gorgeous Pinecrest lake and Dodge Ridge Ski resort are only 25 minutes away.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was cozy, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything we needed. The space felt thoughtfully set up and made it easy to relax and enjoy our time there. Scott was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful throughout the entire process, even when weather and snow came in more than expected. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great stay

My family had a great stay here. House was clean and well stocked with kitchen items. The bedrooms were nice and made us feel at home. They even had dog beds and water/food dishes. Will definitely plan to stay again!

Great tranquil getaway

Very spacious, very well stocked kitchen as far as spices and cooking equipment, had a separate play room for the littles and dog friendly:) Overall amazing time

Excellent stay for a couple families with kids

We had an excellent stay in this well-equipped cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed to get through a huge snowstorm (which was beautiful through the huge windows on the main floor). The host was responsive and helpful and this place is definitely on our list to return.

Sweet Spot for Family Gathering

We loved the location, “cabin” vibe, gated deck, spacious bedrooms, comfy beds, and plenty of off-street parking. Scott & Tracey’s cabin is well-stocked with all the kitchen essentials and more, lots of games/books/puzzles for adults and children, an outdoor grill and comfortable patio furniture. We felt right at home in this mountain cabin.

Nice quiet place!

We had a wonderful weekend visiting this home! It was perfect for our growing family and was pet friendly for our weiner doggies. So many extras we were pleasantly surprised with, it really had everything you’d need! We had a warm weekend and the swamp cooler was very helpful. The neighborhood is friendly and a quiet spot-absolutely blessed to have this place. We’d love to come again with some of our children that couldn’t make it soon!! Thanks again we LOVED it and was a quick trip to our fav spot- Pinecrest!

Amazing Mi Wuk Village Stay

This is a wonderful home in a quiet area. There was welcome wine, goodies and a lovely note from owners Scott and Tracey. Big enough for 5 adults but still cozy enough that we didn't lose track of each other. Beds were so comfy with flannel sheets and comforters. One of the most well-furnished homes we've rented with plenty of cozy blankets laying around. There were plenty of dishes, pots & pans and utensils making cooking a pleasure and the large dining table made for great family dinners and was big enough to spread out for games. We had a wonderful lunch at Local Press in Twain Harte and yummy goodies from the Sugar Shack. Close enough to spend a day in Columbia and one at Dodge Ridge. We'll definitely be back for another visit.

Wonderful Stay!

There were 5 adults and one child who celebrated his 3rd birthday during our stay along with our one pup. It was a perfect setup for family fun! Spacious living area, comfy beds, BBQ, outside space for enjoying the cooler evenings, and plenty of games - appreciated the gate outside. My grandson loved the Disney channel and my granddog loved the dog bed provided which she chose over hers that was brought from home. There was a hot spell during our stay so the portable AC unit was a welcome relief. I very much appreciated a huge fan in each bedroom. We went to Pine Crest Lake one day (arrived early!), rented a pontoon boat at the marina for 2 hours, went to the children's trampoline Elevate at the Black Oak Casino, and went bowling. We had pizza delivered but made most meals at home with the fully equipped kitchen. Communication with the hosts was excellent. I highly recommend it!

Great home for family gathering!

We rented this home for a family reunion weekend up in the mountains. Four adults stayed in the home and we found that we had plenty of room and the home had all the amenities we could want or need. Great outdoor deck for hosting our family BBQ one night (got prior approval from owners for the larger gathering). Only two downsides. The weekend we were there, the temps were 95+ and the home doesn't have A/C (I'm sure most don't up there). There were plenty of fans and big swamp cooler that helped but there was only so much that could be done with those crazy temps. I would recommend running the swamp cooler first thing in the morning to get the home cooled off before the afternoon heat hits. Once it's hot in there, it's much harder to cool it down. We were so happy to find a home that was dog-friendly, as we have a6-month old little Cavapoo. Home was very accommodating for a dog, but the issue was the yard. There is no grass around the home (I get it - it's the mountains). There are these little wispy weeds all over which seemed like no big deal...until I took our pup down the hill in the backyard to go potty.We were out there less than two minutes when I noticed these tiny oval spiny stickers covering my pants hem and shoes. I looked at the pup and oh boy was she ever covered in there. It took three of us an hour to get them all out of her fur. Keep in mind that she is a doodle mix with curly hair...so if your pup is a short-hair, you probably will be fine (except for maybe stickers in their paws). We had to take her potty in the asphalt driveway most of the weekend to avoid that debacle again. We loved the home - just wanted to share this tidbit with any dog-owners so they're aware of the stickers. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend and made some great memories with family! Thank you for the review and the suggestions on how to improve our cabin. There's not a ton we can do about the heat, but we're looking into our options. These places weren't built with a ton of insulation so it's difficult. As for the little stickers, we didn't have them last year so it was a bit of a surprise this year (we've only had the cabin for 2 years now). That being said we just cleared all sides of the cabin today, so our fur babies as well as everyone else's fur babies should be okay now. We will be on top of it going forward. Thanks again. I hope you stay with us in the future.

Best Cabin in MiWuk- 4 generations!

I have been renting cabins in MiWuk area for Christmas for our 4 generation family of 10 / dog for past 8+ yrs. We had a favorite, but it was booked, so we decided upon the "BEARY BEST Cabin" as my grandkids named it! GLAD WE DID! From the moment of booking, owners were hospitable and inviting. When I asked what decor I should bring, he assured me there'd be Christmas decor and even emailed me the weekend before our trip to tell me they were making a special trip to decorate (during a storm) then sent an email saying to go up anytime, our cabin was awaiting our arrival. From the moment we pulled up, the decor was so thoughtful and appreciated. (Past cabin- no decor or small tree) From the wood bear sculpture, lights, wreath, and Christmas Welcome mat greeting us at the front door, entry was easy. They left us a sweet Christmas card and basket of goodies on the counter, the Christmas tree and live poinsettias were beautiful, decor everywhere, even the napkins, and the heat was even on, making our arrival feel warm & inviting, very sweet & thoughtful. Arrival from parking down just 4 stairs onto the deck and into the cabin, was easy for my 85 yr old mom, she also had no trouble going up or downstairs to the basement, which was a perfect place for the grandkids and great grandkids to watch TV and play games by the other fireplace. BEDS ARE GREAT & heaters in ea room, best for those who sleep hot. We ALL agree, Most comfortable beds of ALL past rentals. Kitchen had Everything we needed for our Christmas baking day, our traditional Christmas Eve 26 lb Turkey w/all the trimmings dinner & our huge morning brunches. There was Nothing lacking, from a large turkey roaster, basting brushes, hand mixer, Pyrex dishes, bowls, coffee maker, toaster, bagel cutter, a pizza stone & cutter which we used our first night! Only drawback, not much pantry space for a 5-day trip of foodies, but we used the large cupboards in the bathroom just a few feet away & it worked PERFECT! All the dog needs are there too. But cabin wasn't "doggy". No hair, pet smell, or pet stains.🐶 You don't need to take your trash when you leave!😁 Many require this. So many extra special touches, from warming the cabin prior to arrival (no owners in the past- have ever done this, making entry & unpacking freezing & uncomfortable) the holiday decor, outdoor lights, & gift basket reflect thoughtful owners who truly want you to enjoy your stay & their little piece of heaven, just as they do

2nd Stay - Just as Great as First

I reviewed the property before, and had an equally perfect experience on a second trip. It's hands-down the nicest, best organized, cleanest place we've stayed in Mi-Wuk Village. Great for skiing at Dodge Ridge, and just really a pleasant property. Thanks again, we'll likely be back next winter!

Excellent Rental - Upscale, Clean, Well-Appointed, Dog-Friendly with Fast Internet

Great ski / forest retreat! One of the very best places we've stayed in the area. A few specific highlights... If you've got kids, you know how crummy it is to stay somewhere with wildly different 2nd, 3rd and 4th bedrooms. Who gets glad? Who gets sad? Who gets mad? Here there is a nice master bedroom downstairs, and two literally identical bedrooms upstairs. There's a 4th bedroom downstairs that is almost identical to the two upstairs too. No drama! Pup friendly, but not a "dog cabin." The place is clean and very nicely maintained. If you took the water bowls and freshly vacuumed dog bed away you'd not know it was dog friendly. Very nicely appointed. Good, matching towels and linens, full sets of glassware and plates. Well-stocked staples and kitchen stuff. Everything organized, matching, and easy to find. Electronics worked, streaming services available. Lots of cabin-curated family games and puzzles (Pictionary, Codewords Disney, Scrabble). Fun house to play hide and seek in too! Good heat, hot water and internet. The gas powered fireplaces produce plenty of heat and are attractive and cozy. The wall heaters make the bedrooms at toasty as you'd want. Enough hot water for a couple of back-to-back showers. Fast, realiable wifi. Verified 500mbps internet service. Five stars across the board from our perspective.

Wonderful experience

This home is absolutely wonderful. It is spotless and everything works as it should. It was hot when we were there and there is no air conditioning, so the owner had fans in every room and a large swamp cooler in the main room. They really helped. The furniture is great, outdoor firepit and bbq were used every day and night. You really only need to take your clothes!!! They have thought of everything. Would be more than happy to return.

Family Vacation

We had a great time, the cabin is fantastic, Pine Crest lake is so close and so is Twain Heart. We will absolutely be back. Everything we needed, great space to have for family, separate space for kids and adults, great deck space!
