We own both sides so of this wonderfully located duplex Luxury with BEST LOCATION! This Calendar reflects 1 units availability, please inquire about our identical units availability. 100 Steps to Beach&In main part of Town.This luxuriously duplex that we own both sides of home each having 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, is located 130 steps to beach or 100 steps to downtown Encinitas Village on Coast Hwy 101, in the famous Moonlight Beach area where you will over find over 40 eateries from casual to fine dinning with entertainment and boutique shopping on the way. The interior is great on both sides with top of the line appliances, beds, and furnishings. We have boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, board games, toys, books, porta crib, stroller and much more for you use at no extra charge. Summer rate is 650 a night and books with a minimum 6 night stay. You will love this property!!!
It's a short walk to the train station for travel to other San Diego areas although most guests stay and enjoy all that Encinitas has to offer. The casual lifestyle invokes visions of endless summers, beautiful beaches, year-round gardens. Residents know how to enjoy life and spend most of their time outdoors since the weather is nearly perfect. Encinitas takes pride in their historic downtown & vibrant community. Beginning in 1928 the La Paloma Theatre (5 minute walk) hosted the opening of the “Cohen’s And Kely’s in Paris” Attended by Mary Pickford (Americas Sweetheart)and other Hollywood starlets who continued to grace the stage, more recent being Jay Leno, Timothy Leary and I attended the performance where the band Switchfoot” was discovered. They still hold a once a year surfing benefit at Moonlight Beach and perform in the afternoon where a hug stage is set up for them and it’s all fun. Although Moonlight Beach is labeled the Beach with everything, other walkable beaches include Swami”s which is forever immortalized in the Beach Boys “Surfin USA”
The other unit in the duplex is also available for concurrent rental for large parties; contact owner for more information. Summer usually (Sat to Sat.), Holiday's and Holiday weeks are usually 600 a night but are subject to a reduction closer to the date of arrival.

Great location and beautiful house!

We had such a great time staying at the house. The location was perfect - beach, stores, coffee shops etc. We will definitely be back for future trips.

Excellent location.

Great spot. Morning coffee on the deck was fantastic. Fairly quite even though in the middle of town. We had 5 adults, plenty of room. Great stay.

Great Stay

This property is the perfect location for walking everywhere...surf beach, family beach, and town. The property manager was super accommodating to our request to check in early as we were coming from another property near by and wanted to bring by our fridge food early. There were wet suits and surf boards to use, boogie boards and sand toys...really perfect for everyone in our family. We had a great time!

Overall, the house was in a great location. Easy walk to the stairs that go down to the beach. Furnishings need to be updated and many things didnt work or were broken. Communication was slighly weird but Sharon did her best. Was worth the price at the time.

Great Location, Bad Cockroaches

Great location, owner needs to properly clean the property prior to rentals. Needs to update the property in many aspects and not rely solely on the location. On arrival found several cockroaches in the silverware drawer, spent the next two hours prior to my two little kids arriving washing dishes with crust and spots on them. Super gross and not acceptable, and definitely not luxury. Otherwise location is really good but doesn't make up for the general run down condition of the property and the lack of cleaning.

Raw Sewage Backup. Unable to use toilet until DAY 3 and shower until DAY 4. No compensation offered

Stay was June 12th, 2021 (5 nights). Currently a case number is active with VRBO Health and Safety to investigate this issue. Details of the series of events with picture evidence has been provided for their investigation. Raw Sewage back-up in the lower bathroom (toilet and shower/bath) prevented us from using the toilet until DAY 3 and shower/bath until DAY 4. Sharon (owner) did not address this issue adequately or in a timely manner. Sharon did not apologize or offer any compensation during our stay. This is an ongoing chronic issue as evidenced by a note by each toilet in caps and bold print "WHEN POSSIBLE! PLEASE USE TRASH CAN FOR TOILET PAPER the large tree across the alley has grown into the sewer system". This was not disclosed in the VRBO listing. If it had been disclosed, we would not have rented this place.

Great surf bday celebration

We came down to San Diego for my son‘s 16th birthday. Location was fantastic between downtown Encinitas and D St. beach access! They are walkable to any place you want to be within five minutes. High traffic area if that bothers you but it was perfect for us! Can’t wait to say again!

Perfectly Positioned

There is simply no better location than this! We were able to walk the block to spot check and surf D Street and visit Moonlight beach very easily. Borrowed the soft top while our son used his own surfing seaside each morning. There are old cruiser bikes, but Charlie’s rents some cool fat tire ebikes very close by. All the cafes and restaurants and shops are a block away - gelato around the corner. Encinitas has it all - and though it’s on a charming and sweet residential street, this place is in the middle of it! The young cousins (15-25 yo) would all hang out near our place though grandparents big 80th bday celebration was two miles away. The rooms downstairs are very spacious and have a large bathroom to share but each have their own vanity. Very comfortable beds with plenty of extra bedding if needed. Every room has a ceiling fan but it being Spring, the cross breezes made the place airy. The master suite has a vanity separate front the bath which makes a couple getting ready very easy, but the comfy high postered bed, I had to jump up to use at 5’3”, fun for some! The laundry machines are big and easy to use but the door to the space needs a little work. The kitchen is a small but functional galley style that is opened to the living and dining room in a way that made entertaining our extended family for a meal very easy with lots of seating and high ceilings - it’s a spacious and light filled area. Loved the balcony for morning coffees and afternoon drinks and thumbing through some of the cool coffee table books. We even sunned ourselves on the private front patio - sand free for a day. There is Roku tv in every room and WiFi is strong throughout the place. Sharon has decorated the place with such a nice coastal vibe it really feels like a lovely, family beach home. We look forward to our next stay!

Amazing location.

Great place to stay in an amazing location. You could easily Uber to the house and survive without a vehicle for a week. So many options within walking distance.

Location and wonderful host!

2 blocks from literally everything!? We found surfing at D street, taco stand, surf shops, juiceries, parks, live music, and made some new friends. The house is a duplex but you’d never know. Parking is off the street. Showers outside for rinsing the sand off. Private patio area with power. The street is a little busy. Fridays and Saturday’s were a bit louder and we needed earplugs. The home is sweet and feels like you’re staying with a dear relative. Would recommend!

Great location!!

Two blocks from the beach and two blocks to downtown! We had a great family vacation and really enjoyed the outdoor entertaining area. We will come back next summer!

Great getaway

Sharon and her wonderful property made out trip great. We had absolutely everything that we needed, from all of the kitchen supplies, to the extra bath towels and blankets, to the garage full of beach supplies and bikes, to the beach bags/beach towels. There is even a rolling cart to aid in getting stuff to the beach easily. The place is very roomy and we loved the outdoor seating on the two balconies and the large front patio. The beds were very, very comfy!! The location is perfect! Just a few steps from the beach in one direction and just a few steps from all of the shops, restaurants, bars on main street in the other direction. Sharon was an awesome host, easy to communicate with and was very sweet to work with us on a couple of things as we were coming and going. I highly recommend staying here!

Very nice property and wonderful location

This house was very nice and located near everything in Encinitas. There are 3 beds in the house and we thought there was also a sofa bed, but there was not. Sharon was more than willing to help if we had questions or would have really needed anything. Didn’t use any of the toys , etc from the garage or the kitchen much but it is all well appointed.

Location is amazing!!!

This property is stocked with everything you need! The garage is full of bikes, water toys, wet suits,etc. The patio is a great large space to have dinner or just enjoy the weather. We all really liked the layout of the property with 2 bedrooms on the first floor and the second floor has the kitchen, living space, and the master. We had 6 people stay for the weekend and we never felt on top of each other.

I am a mother of three grown children and being a grandmother is amazingly wonderful and they all love the beach. I live in the neighboring town of Del Mar but we all love staying in Encinitas. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and being able to walk to the never ending fun things to do. I have guests that return to visit regularly, and I will do my best to make you one of them.

I think this beach area is one of the very best in all of California. Know for its casual friendly atmosphere and places to shops. At the corner you will find mouth watering pizza by the slice, and white table clothed tables on the corner serving great Italian food. There are casual restaurants but has also many up-scale restaurants and bars to chat and meet the locals and visitors to the area. It is about 8 miles to Legoland.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

From this location you can walk or ride the bikes everywhere. It's an incredable walk or ride to the south where you can watch the many surfers from the cliff catch the waves. You can also grab a board at the house and try it yourself. Boogie boarding is easy and must for all and will get you going to the beach every day with a smile on your face.
