Newly renovated! Beautiful private cottage in quiet area near Old Garden Beach.

Completely renovated house in Rockport’s desirable South End. Our home is located in a wonderful neighborhood for walking and biking. Bright and airy and ready for your arrival! The full kitchen is completely equipped with everything that you need to make your stay comfortable. The master bedroom has a separate en-suite half bath, newly redone for your convenience. The main bathroom is also new with a fully tiled, walk-in shower. The large second bedroom has a full size bed with a twin above.

A short walk to beautiful Straitsmouth Cove where you can explore the coastline. Also within walking distance to Old Garden Beach where you can sit and watch the sailboats on the horizon. Or stroll down to into quaint Rockport village where you will find beaches, restaurants, galleries, shops and the Shalin Liu Performing Arts Center.

After a day spent exploring the beaches and area, put your feet up and enjoy a glass of wine while relaxing on the private, large outdoor deck in your back yard surrounded by mature gardens. Or on a cool evening, use the brand new fire pit area with Solo Stove and 4 Adirondack chairs.

Our home is located in the South End of Rockport known for its beautiful homes, gardens and walks along the coast. Enjoy all that the area has to offer using this as your home base.

Family vacation

Our family really enjoyed staying at Blue Hydrangea. It was perfect for the 4 of us and was a great home base for us to explore Rockport & the surrounding area.

Lovely vacation cottage

Such a pretty little cottage. It had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor solo fire pit and the bicycles. The inside is renovated and lovely. Also a pretty neighborhood to walk in with ocean views and access to a small beach.

Comfortable Cottage

Difficult to add anything not already mentioned by previous reviewers. We had our best night’s sleep at a VRBO ever on a wonderfully firm mattress. The wide selection of chairs ensures you’ll find one “just right”. As avid readers, lighting was ample & dimmable. The Rockport Art Association's galleries are FREE, show/sell works by regional professional artists. Try the Dairy Maid for yummy ice cream + 20 softserve flavors(!). Highly recommend 7Seas Whale Watching in Gloucester (other boats jammed with passengers). We saw 15 different humpbacks!

Rockport

Rockport was beautiful on Memorial Day weekend! The cottage was perfect for our party of four adults. Great peaceful location and clean cottage and packed with everything you needed to cook, relax, beach, bike and have fun! Great place

The owner Mary is easy to work with and gave us a gift basket of chocolates, wine, crackers, and more. The house is nicely updated and near the town. It is near a main road but very well insulated and sound proofed. The back deck furniture and amenities were all enjoyable with a peak a boo ocean view too. . It is also on a road that you can walk along the ocean with breath taking views. We would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful winter weekend stay! Beautiful house, very comfortable and cozy, fantastic location right near the water, and Rockport is a great visit during the holidays. Owner responded quickly to any questions. Lovely welcome basket as well. Highly recommend and would happily stay here again!

Charming home in Rockport

We enjoyed our stay at Blue Hydrangea, which is a lovely home in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. The property was very clean and well stocked. The welcome basket that we received was really appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay at Blue Hydrangea again.

Great vacation!

Owner was so helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Her place was immaculate! She even left a welcome basket with goodies and information on the area. Rockport is a very quaint coastal town. Would definitely come back!

Awesome cottage

I have rented dozens of vacation homes over the years, and this is one of my favorites of all time. It was the perfect size for 4 adults. Photos are very accurate, except that living room now has a couple of additional chairs. It is very nicely renovated, extremely clean, very well stocked, and in a lovely location. The lane it sits on is close to the water and meanders about 1/2 mile down to a small beach. Very peaceful setting with lovely landscaping and a nice deck to enjoy in good weather, but also close to Rockport shops. Check-in procedures were simple and provided in plenty of time by owner. Would love to return!

A wonderful getaway

My wife and I had an amazing time in this cabin, spending a fall weekend walking into Rockport, building a fire in the fireplace, and just generally unwinding. Seems like it would be great for a beach trip, as well, but Fall in MA is hard to beat and this was the perfect home base for the trip. Mary was immensely responsive and welcoming, and the condition of the house was great.

Wonderful place to stay!

So charming and accommodating

We seriously had one of the nicest stays ever- there was not one single thing to complain about this home, there was a gift basket upon arrival, the home was clean and decorated adorably! It was the perfect size for our family of 5 and the kids loved the stay as much as we did! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need, the beds were comfortable and everyone slept great and then the shower! Love! They have water pressure to be envious of! Mary was delightful, we had zero reason to reach out but she welcomed us with thoughtful notes and messages and my children loved their gorgeous yellow lab and the rope swing out back. We have already raved about the property and location to my parents who want to book as well and if there is anything that brings us back to Rockport- this will be our first Vrbo to look for! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Wonderful cottage in charming Rockport

My wife and I have stayed at VRBO many times and this was one of our most enjoyable. The cottage was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed. There were many beaches nearby and if you enjoy nature Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive away. We would like to return to charming Rockport some day. Bob B

Five stars!

This property deserves all the stars! Very clean, convenient location, great amenities, we would book again in a heart beat. The beds are comfortable and the indoor and outdoor showers can't be beat. The house has everything you need for your stay and Mary is a fantastic host.
