Paradise on the Bayou at the Bat Cave!

Bring the whole family and enjoy a peaceful relaxing stay at The Bat Cave - fishing and crabbing camp. We have the perfect spot for enjoying all the area has to offer without all of the madness. Our 3 Bedroom 3 Bath home is fully furnished and located on Hwy 433 in Slidell just 25 minutes to New Orleans and the French Quarter, and 20 minutes to Bay St. Louis on the Gulf Coast. Don't forget to check out the wonderful restaurants, shopping and seafood markets available nearby.

Wake up early and enjoy a cup of coffee and a beautiful Sunrise from under the camp,
where we have 1,500 Sq Ft of space available with chairs, BBQ grill and boiling pots for those crabs you caught off the peer (crab traps available for your use). We have a large dock for your boat and fishing as well as chaise lounge chairs to enjoy while watching the fish jump and other wildlife in the water.

Sunsets are magnificent from downstairs or the upstairs porch with your glass of wine or beer before doing some night fishing or family card games at our large dining table.

The house was just as described with all the necessities needed for a great time. The locations was perfect. Just outside of the city but close enough to all the action. The games and fishing gear were an added plus. Hight recommend a stay here.

What a great place to stay!!!

What a great place to stay! There was so much to do and it was so clean and convenient. It was close to everything. My grandson loved it he got to fish and we caught some crabs and saw an alligator.

Great Guys Trip

Great fishing and location to Slidell and New Orleans

Great house for our family of five! 2 college students and 18 yr old high schooler loved all games on ground level! We grilled using charcoal grill and gas grill! House is well stocked with anything you need. Loved having 3 bathrooms. We enjoyed St. Patrick’s Parade in New Orleans.

Great relaxing yet convenient location!

We had an excellent time. The property was clean and as advertised. Check in was simple and we had no issues. It had excellent options for relaxing on site. It was also an easy drive to the city and local attractions. Excellent all around. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Place

We had a great time visiting family in Louisianna. There was plenty of room for us to visit and so much to do. The games on the lower level are awesome. And sitting on the dock was so relaxing. The house is very clean and well stocked and close to a lot of fun activities and hikes.

The camp

We had a fun time at the camp. We went fishing in the neighboring waterways, boiled some seafood, used the crab traps, played corn hole was a plus, and hope to go back for a longer trip.

Family vacation

Great vacation spot! House is clean and comfortable. We loved the large porch and enjoyed playing bags at night. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware. Camp Salmen is nearby and great hiking/outdoor spot. Host is very easy to communicate with and responds quickly to any questions.

Wedding at the Sadie Jane

Nice place! Only 10-15 minutes to Slidell for restaurants and stores. Just staying at the property had so much to do. The me. Enjoyed fishing while the women sat and relaxed in the cool breeze. We played darts, corn hole and one person tried kayaking. Fun place to stay.

Amazing Stay

Colette’s property was exactly what we needed! The house sits on a beautiful property right on the water! We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and playing all of the available games! The host did a fabulous job of thinking of the details (there were even phone chargers!) and included some Louisiana goodies for our enjoyment! It’s a super convenient location to New Orleans and the local Honey Island Swamp tour, as well as plenty of restaurants and shopping. We would definitely visit again!!

Girls Trip 2024

my daughter and niece went to the Taylor Swift concert and we did not want t stay in NOLA, so we looked for a place that was a short drive and would give us peace and relaxation when we came back from our day trips to NOLA. We could not have asked for a better house to call home for 4 night 5 day stay. The water brings its own entertainment, the great areas below the house gave us so much to do in our down time. The space and 3 bathrooms were a huge bonus!!

First time in New Orleans

While this was the first time coming to New Orleans this Arabian property was awesome.the house was very accommodating to the needs of 6 friends everything. Was beautiful from the sunrise to Sun down having the dogs outside? Just to sit in relax and feel the nice cool breeze. There was also things that we could use far as a kayak crabbing. We also brought fishing Poles. It was just a very private and nice touch to be in a way from home. Holes was very accommodating may sure that everything was in place that when we arrived. It was easy access to the property not having to scuffle around to make sure everything was OK houses very clean needs sanitized it had seems to play. Have 3 bathrooms 3 nice bedroom rooms? Kitchen was very nice came fully stop with all things that you would need as if you were really at home.

Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I took our son who had recently turned 21 with a few of his friends. They wanted to experience NOLO, but we wanted a nice quiet place to chill during the day. This place was the perfect place for just this! The dock was perfect for fishing, and even though we didn’t catch much, it was so peaceful and relaxing! We caught a few crabs in the traps provided, and we saw several alligators at night! The house was very clean and had everything we needed but food! The 3 bathrooms and washer/dryer were a huge bonus! The trip into NOLA was about a 30 min drive, and the Uber prices were reasonable split between a large group. Our host was great, she checked in on us and even notified us about a light/fan that wasn’t working that we weren’t even aware of! 100% recommended this place and will stay here again if we go back this direction!
