☀Fun Flamingo-Beachfront-Quiet Retreat, Best Views

The Fun Flamingo Bungalow is a charming 1950’s ranch bungalow directly on the beach of Alligator Point; part of Old Florida on its Forgotten Coast. A wonderful getaway for enjoying the ocean and its habitat. Sit in the 11-window ocean-facing sunroom to watch waves dance upon the shore and dolphins play along the surf. Or get those toes wet by taking just a few steps outside the back door where you'll enjoy the endless beaches of Alligator Point. Or head to our grassy front yard (with a fence for some privacy) where a cornhole competition or other lawn games beckon you if you tire of the beach. If it happens to rain, we have a variety of games and puzzles to play indoors or grab a book from The Fun Flamingo's take-one-leave-one library. Lastly, the bedrooms and the living room all have flat screen TVs with the living room also having an Xbox Kinect and a DVD player + over 75 DVD movies.

Because of it's size, our house is best suited to no more than 4 adults (which would include teenagers) with then up to 5 children. If you have more than 4 adults, please reach out to us to verify our place will suit your needs.

WOW!! Forget the TV or cell phones! You walk into this charming home and you are greeted with a breath-taking panorama of the ocean and beach! There is super comfy seating right at the wall of windows and you become mesmorized by the dolphins, birds, and other wildlife so close to you! We couldn't take our eyes off of such an amazing view! And the beautiful home was so clean, well organized, and fully stocked. We WILL be back - there is no doubt! When our time was up, we tried everything we could think of to stay longer. You will not want to leave once you experience this peaceful gem on the coast!

We did not stay after driving 8 hours to get there because the place was not cleaned when we arrived! Sad thing is this would have been our 2nd trip here. But with mold growing in coffee pot, soured laundry in the washer, bedding in the kitchen floor, toilets and bathtubs dirty, dirty floors, refrigerator filthy we didn’t feel comfortable staying there!! I didn’t have host phone number and had to try and reach her through the VRBO email. Took 5 tries before she finally called me back at 9:30pm! She said she would put us up in a local motel for the night and try to find someone to clean it the next day but couldn’t tell us when we could get into the house so we asked for a refund which she agreed to…but then charged me 325 for the arrival night when we didn’t even stay there!!! She did not tell me she was going to do that on the phone when we talked. That was deceitful when she agreed to full refund!! Luckily we secured another house with a great host and was able to finally start our vacation! Sad to say we will not book with this host again.

Relaxation!

We visited in late October. Despite two hurricanes passing over FL the weeks prior the weather was great! It was like we had our own private beach! The dogs ran and played and we watched sunrises and sunsets everyday. The place was great and we would definitely go back!

Sitting out back, you never knew you had neighbors. Deadend road so no traffic noise. Beach was great. Sunsets awesome.

Peaceful

The house is exactly as described! The beach is perfect with so much wildlife to enjoy. Sit back, relax, and watch the dolphins break the surface. This quiet and peaceful location was perfect for a getaway from a busy world. It is a nice gem on the Forgotten Coast!! Thank you Lisa and Brigham!

A Fantastic Find !!

My husband , 2 sons, daughter-in-love, and granddaughter stayed at the Fun Flamingo for a long weekend in July . The whole visit was perfect ! The house is very cozy and decorated in such a fun and colorful way! The beach is simply beautiful and so peaceful and quiet ! This property is for any age to enjoy ! We will be back !

Hidden Gem of a Beach House!!!

Best VRBO ever! We booked this because of the location and many reviews saying they watched dolphins everyday! Just let me say The Fun Flamingo is amazing! You are just steps to the beach and dolphins came within three feet of us standing with our feet barely in the water! We saw them several times a day! The whole house was just homey and inviting and has everything you may need! The sunroom was our favorite place! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas this is the place to be! Lisa was an excellent host and quick to respond when we messaged! This place is a hidden gem! We hope we get to visit again!!!

The Perfect Getaway!

My husband LOVED our week at Fun Flamingo. It was a beautifully restored Old-Florida home with amazing ocean views and is situated right on the beach. The perfect quiet escape with very few people and NO crowds. If you're looking to getaway and have the beach all to yourself, this is the perfect place. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and walks along the beach, saw many Dolphin swimming just off shore, and enjoyed just relaxing on the sugar sand beach all day. The house has all the amenities so we cooked dinner there every night, including grabbing some fresh seafood from the local market and preparing it at the house. We will definitely visit again and recommend the Fun Flamingo to everyone.

Wonderful vacation

We love the house and the location. It was a short walk to the beach. My granddaughter has cerebral palsy and it wasn't a problem for her. The house had everything we needed and my grandsons loved the bunk beds and we all loved the windows on the sun porch. We hope to stay here next time we visit Alligator Point. We caught a lot of fish and saw dolphins every day!

bringing back my childhood

my family grew up as children at my grandparents house not far from this property. My sister's family and my own wanted to relive the fun times on the beach that we had as children. this property is way better than the old unairconditioned block house that my Nanny and Grandaddy Turner owned in the 60's. Such a Magical Place

From start to finish, this rental had it all. The owner/manager was awesome at having what we needed there - even when we didn't think we needed it - aloe vera for instance, which was great with the stores 30 minutes away. The house was comfortable and perfect for us and our 3 adult children. First time to this area and I think I definitely fell in love. Thank you for the use of your home! It was amazing from the flamingoes at the mailbox to the flamingoes in the backyard!

Best Relaxation on the beach

Scene out of a Movie

Such a cute house- like something out of a movie. The view from the back porch is wonderful. A big tree in the front yard and lots of space to spread out inside (which we needed with teens and older kids). Would definitely stay again- this is a completely different experience than the high rise resorts.
