Charming apartment for 2 pers with a small private space in front of the house and access to the common garden. Comfort and easy access (ground floor / garden). Suitable for people having difficulties with stairs. Wifi.

The Little Bear is right on the small and quiet square of the Winegrowers (place des Vignerons). The Little Bear gite has two independent entrances. It is accessible by 3 steps on the front or from the side by a small paved ramp.

Although not fully meeting the standards of handicaped access with use of an autonomous wheelchair, this apartment was designed to facilitate the stay of people who have difficulty climbing stairs: no step inside the apartment, large walk-in shower.

This apartment meets high level equipment standards as most of our other holiday apartments. Nevertheless, as the Little Bear is very well and naturally protected from the heat due to its location within the house we have chosen not to install airconditioning.


The former main entrance hall is now organized as a dining room in a kind of winter garden.

Beau gîte !

C’est agréable séjour d’une semaine, le beau gîte est bien le charme. Nous avons bien dormi ! Ce n’est pas loin à visiter le beau village de Riquewihr. Pratique au parking privé pour ma voiture !

sehr nette Ferienwohnung in optimaler läge

Eine kleine, saubere, gepflegte Ferienwohnung, mit netter Einrichtung und allem was man braucht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und Restaurants und Bäcker sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The perfect spot, the perfect host

Host provided us a lot of usefull detailed information upfront witch made our stay very relaxed. Appartement was located in the quiet area very near the centre of the town. Parking was easy, just outside the centre by using a special parking lot aquired at Office du Tourisme. Appartement was provided with literally almost everything.

Un voyage dans un autre monde....

Ne connaissant pas du tout Riquewhir j'étais immédiatement sous le charme de ce village médiévale. Ech découvrant la propriété où se situe le "petit ours" se trouve, on a été émerveillés. Déjà la cour d'entrée avec le jardin, nous donnait encore une fois l'impression d'être dans un autre monde. L'appartement est super beau, rénové avec de l'amour pour les détails, très chaleureux et accueillant. On s'y est senti tout de suite chez soi. En plus il est très bien équipé, on ne manque de rien. C'est absolument à recommander, et idéal pour un petit séjour loin du quotidien.

Charmante Ferienwohnung

Die Wohnung ist schön und gut ausgestattet und genauso wie im Inserat beschrieben. Besonders schön ist die Tür direkt auf den Platz vorm Haus, dadurch fühlt es sich fast an wie ein Ferienhaus. Für ein paar Tage im Elsass ist die Wohnung sehr zu empfehlen.

We loved our 3 night stay in "Little Bear". The exposed beams and decor provided a great ambiance, fitting with Riquewihr's historical character. It was quiet and peaceful. A perfect base for exploring the Alsace region.

BEAUCOUP DE CHARME

Ce gîte est tout ce que nous aimons : calme, intérieur cocooning mêlant l'ancien et le confort moderne. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil. Si nous décidons de refaire les marchés de Noël en Alsace, nous n'hésiterons pas de revenir dans ce gîte et pourquoi pas aux beaux jours !!!!

Romantische Ferienwohnung mit Charme

Wir waren für 7 Tage zu Gast im kleinen Bär. Die Wohnung läßt keine Wünsche offen und ist mit viel Liebe und Geschmack eingerichtet. Als Ausgangspunkt für erlebnisreiche Ausflüge im Elsass sehr zu empfehlen. Die Betreuung vor Ort durch Valerie und Nathalie war so herzlich das man das Gefühl hatte, gute Freunde zu besuchen. Jede Frage wurde kompetent und schnell beantwortet, alle Wünsche prompt erfüllt. Vielen Dank dafür!!! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus que parfait!! Tellement de style!!!

Nous sommes complètement tombés amoureux de cette gîte et l'endroit tellement beau. On voit très bien que les bâtiments ont été restaurés avec plus que passion et l'amour pour tous les petits détails. Nous avons toujours trouvé de nouvelles beautés dans la gîte et l'ensemble que nous ont totalement ravis. On se trouve comme chez des amis qui ont un lieu très beau et qui étaient suffisament sympa de le confier à leur visiteurs :) Tout se présente avec beaucoup de style et d'atmosphère et on se trouve totalement à l'aise dès l'arrive. On se trouve très bien acceuilli parce-qu'on trouve des information très détaillées sur la ville, les environs, les réstaurant, les magazins. Pour nous, un élément très important étaient les nombreux réstaurants d'excellente qualité juste à quelques passes de la gîte. Nous espérons de pouvoir venir très souvent parce-que la combinaison de la gîte dans cet ensemble de vieux bâtiments avec tellement d'atmosphère, la précieuse ville de Riquewihr, les vignobles, les montagnes, le vin, les restaurants est justement comme être au paradis.

I am delighted to say that this was one of our most enjoyable and memorable holidays yet. The Alsace region and the accomodation at Les Ramparts de Riquewihr were more wonderful than we had hoped for or expected. Firstly the apartments; we stayed in Little Bear and we found it to be completely charming. Perfectly placed, right in the center of Riquewihr and yet totally private and quiet. This ground floor apartment has access to the serene and fragrant garden where there are peaceful seating areas, as well as its own little outside seating area off the wintergarden. The apartment is decorated in the most charming, romantic, cosy and welcoming style whilst having appliances of the highest standard including a top of the range microwave/oven and a krupps coffee machine. Pods for the krupps are available from the office run by the very efficient and friendly Valerie. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her and you could tell she is as passionate about Les Ramparts and Riquewihr as Jean Paul, the owner and they are both so genuinely determined to do all they can to ensure a wonderful experience is had by their visitors. Every tiny little detail has been thought about, down to the provision of tabs for the washing machine and dishwasher and quality toiletries in the shower room.We loved our stay in Little Bear and will certainly return again. As for the Alsace region, well it is just beautiful and Riquewihr is chocolate box pretty with endless charm to be found around every corner. It is so lovely, its hard to take it all in. Other beautiful and charming little towns we visited were Kaiserberg and Ribeauville and a gorgeous little village near Ribeauville called Bergheim. Then of course there is Colmar which is larger than the others but also very beautiful. We found the local people to be very welcoming and helpful.If you love ancient architecture in pretty towns and villages with wonderful food and wine ( the local pinot gris is fabulous) all set in amongst rolling vine covered countryside, then look no further, you will have found paradise. Do try to take a trip into the Vosges mountains as well and take lunch at one of the mountain farm restaurants serving wonderful, rustic traditional dsihes. Alsace is said to be one of the sunniest regions of France and the sun certainly shone for us all days but one and we were able to sit outside to eat most days. It was just fabulous in every way possible and we can't wait to go back and do some more exploring!
