Family wedding

We enjoyed our stay. Great quite location but not far from stores and restaurants. House is clean and comfortable and the snacks left by Christy were appreciated.

Peaceful!

This place is absolutely wonderful. It's private, very clean, plenty of room, and quite charming. Short drive to Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, and to the town of King. Highly recommended!

Great location, nice home for a family

We spend a weekend here with our 4 and 6 year old. Christy is very easy to deal with and answers questions quickly. The home is perfectly located to explore the area, from hikes to caves to restaurants. We had a great time. One note for families with small children, there is a pond that is available for fishing, which we were excited about. However, there is a large, though very friendly, dog that roams the property. He was intimidating for our little guys (he just wanted to play fetch with a large stick), so we didn't get to cast a line. That being said, it was a great stay, and we would stay here again for a future visit.

Cute getaway

We had a lovely stay. The treats in the kitchen were an extra special touch. My boys especially enjoyed walking over to the fishing pond one evening. We also enjoyed the proximity to Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. Thanks again for having us!

Peaceful and Relaxing

We were very, very happy with our stay here. Very quiet, peaceful, & relaxing. Our favorite part was sitting in the yard listening to birds, watching the deer. And you're very close to grocery stores & restaurants. And the beautiful Hanging Rock & Pilot Mountain State parks very close. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend it. We were able to check in early and there were snacks provided for us. It was very nice of our host. And the walk to pond was awesome. The pond was beautiful. 5 Stars

Beautiful location

The property was rustic and interesting. It's beautiful with lots of grassy land around it. We are older and a less rustic property would have suited us better. For example the back porch/door has no hand rail which was difficult for us. We would have loved to read some history of the property. The hosts were available as needed.

Beautiful

The scenery at the house is beautiful. Only 5 mins from a grocery store but still has the away from stuff feel. Perfect in the middle location to hanging rock, Pilot mountain, and Mayberry.

Traveling

Hubby and I making our way to Fl for winter. We love outdoor spaces, comfy beds, coffee pot and close to hiking. This house had it all!!! Felt right at home!

Great little mountain house!

My friend and I had a lovely stay. Everything we needed and then some at the home for us. We were in town to run an ultra, and even had some trail mix waiting for us to snack on! After leaving, I realized that I had left my purse! Christy contacted me right away and the express shipped it to me. So kind to go out of her way for my forgetful self. Thank you!

Peaceful Charm

Peaceful country charm offered just what our family needed. We traveled with toddlers and adults. There was plenty of space for the little ones to expend energy outdoors and a nicely setup up to enjoy a nice lunch too. We were greeted with a lovely basket of treats. There was something for all of us to enjoy. Decor was nice and comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, utensils and all. Plenty of towels. I felt so at peace here and I will definitely book again when I’m in the area.

Peaceful Getaway

We had a wonderful time in your cabin. We met the owner and she was very nice. We talked for a few minutes as she told us things about King and places to go. Beautiful stay

The cottage was perfect for our stay. My husband and I went down with our two kids who are both very young, there was just enough stuff to make you feel at home but not too much stuff where I was worried about my children running around. The host was very friendly and answered Any questions we may have. It was in a perfect rural location with many deer nightly across the road. My son loved the backyard to play football with Daddy.

Surprised me sister by visiting her new home, but there are no hotels in the area so my daughter and I stayed here. We were about 15 minutes away from her country home, and it was perfect. In the morning, I enjoyed sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee listening and watching all of the songbirds- a very quiet, country home. :)

Simple and nice

We really were not at the property for more than sleeping. it was clean and neat. I am glad we only had 4 of us instead of 5 as the 5th would have had to sleep on the couch, which would not have been comfortable. The owners were lovely and helpful when we could not figure out the television. the property is very remote but only a 10 or 15 minute drive to groceries or a cafe'. we would stay there again if we are ever in the area!!

Bridal Shower

Great place to stay while in town for a bridal shower. Convenient location very peaceful with nice mountain view. If weather had been better for our stay would have liked to enjoy the porch and fireplace. Hostess was easy to communicate with and left some treats for our stay. Definitely would stay again when visiting family in the area.

Weekend away

This has been a very peaceful trip. This home is perfect for peace and quiet. Cooper came over when we first got there and he is so adorable. He even sat at the fire pit with us even without the fire! I would recommend this home to just about anyone. The only thing that didn’t suit me was the bed. Not bad, but to hard for my hips lol. Getting old I guess.Thanks for sharing your home with us. I am looking forward to returning when my job allows.

Home Away From Home

We absolutely love this home. This was our second time here, and we plan to stay more in the future. The owner is amazing and extremely helpful with any information about the area. The location is perfect to attractions, restaurants, other local areas. We highly recommend this home.

Amazing!

This property is absolutely beautiful. Christy thought of EVERYTHING! The cottage was beautifully decorated and perfect for a weekend getaway. They have an outdoor fire pit and supply roasting sticks to enjoy delicious smores(my kids loved it!). There is a grill we used for burgers. Need shampoo, conditioner, etc? They have it under the bathroom sink. I mean, they had everything(pots, pans, plates, glasses, bedding, towels, grilling utensils, first aid kit…the list goes on….), walk to a pond and/or creek, lovely canine visitors, and an led cornhole set. We were welcomed with a basket of lovely snacks and Christy stopped by herself to welcome us. We didn’t have to worry about anything, easy check in/check out. I could go on and on but you get the idea, definite 10 out of 10! If you have a chance book this quaint cottage, you won’t regret it! Will definitely stay here again if we head up to do more hiking in the future!

Peaceful Getaway

My family and I visited this property with intentions of going to Hanging Rock. Our stay was complete with all of the essentials of this quiet little home. It met all of our needs, was very cozy, and in the perfect location. The neighbors were nice including their adorable dog, Cooper. The owners were very accommodating and there for you if you need anything. Can’t wait to come back and visit sometime.
