We were at the house the weekend before and didn’t notice any issues, but with all the rain lately the water table has been really high and every home in that area relies on a sump pump, so unfortunately it’s been working overtime. I’m really sorry if that caused any inconvenience during your stay. I’ll have property management check it out right away to make sure everything is taken care of. Also, I wanted to explain the lockbox—we used to have a keypad on the door, but after a few guests accidentally locked themselves out by entering the wrong code too many times, we decided to switch over. It’s worked out better for most guests, but I completely understand it’s a change from what people are used to. Keeping the key in the lockbox and sharing the code among your guest is another option. Thank you for staying and I truly hope you made some great memories in Spirit Lake!
