Small house in the nature reserve with pool

The casita “La Colina” is a small house built in a typical Andalusian style. It is the ideal holiday home for people who love nature and are looking for peace.
"La Colina" is located in the nature reserve la Almijara above the village of Sayalonga. The property is surrounded by old olive trees, a mimosa tree and other Mediterranean plants. Sun worshipers also get their money's worth here. On the terrace in front of the house, sun loungers and parasols invite you to chill out. Since the weather in Andalusia is usually good, a table with chairs offers the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal outdoors.

The casita offers a tastefully furnished living room with an open, fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom with a large wardrobe and double bed. A washing machine is also available to the holiday guest in the spacious bathroom with shower.

The access to the house is only via a paved or concrete, ascending path, which is not always the case in “Campo”.

From Sayalonga you can easily reach Andalusia's highlights such as Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda or Marbella. All of these cities are worth a visit. Very close, just 15 km away on the coastal road,
 is Nerja, one of the most beautiful places on the Costa del Sol.

Schönes Haus fernab des Touri-Rummels

Wer nahe der Infrastruktur aber fernab des Touri-Rummels sein möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Zum Flughafen Malaga und den Stränden ist es recht nah, aber man ist nicht direkt in den Touristen Strömen. Hier kann man also noch ein Stück des authentischen Andalusiens erleben. Das Haus ist gut gelegen. Man kann in den Ort Sayalonga laufen, um was essen zu gehen. Die Straße ist steil, aber händelbar. Die Unterkunft ist gut geschnitten und man vermisst an Ausstattung nichts. Der Vermieter und die Verwalterin sind sehr nett und sprechen beide Deutsch. Ein Problem mit dem Strom und mit dünnen Bettdecken wurde sehr schnell seitens der Verwalterin gelöst. Sie ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Etwas schade ist, dass der hervorragende Fernblick durch eine Hecke abgedeckt ist. Vom Wohnzimmer oder der Terrasse aus schaut man schon Richtung Küste. Aber alles in allem: schönes Haus. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Muy frio y muy escondida debido aa los setos y árboles del jardín, muchas piedras

La ubicación no esta mal, pero la cocina no funcionaba bien, no tenia ni tostador ni cafetera, la tele no se ve en español, la piscina super fría, devido a que todo el día está a la sombra y con muchísima suciedad, a parte de que es una piscina de plastico mala. Todas las mosquiteras están rotas y hay muchos mosquitos, la ducha sale con muy poca presión, no hay un triste ventilador en la casa por si hace calor dentro... y el camino para ir a la casa es complicado, pero lo peor es el mantenimiento de los jardines, no te permiten disfrutar de la casa...

Zeer gedateerd huis dat opgeknapt moet worden

Vies toilet , het hele huis ruikt muf en naar rook, oude koelkast die niet goed sluit, oud linnengoed met gaten, slechte bedden, vies zwembad. De buiten omgeving was slecht onderhouden. Oude tuinmeubelen met echt vieze stinkende kussens. En dan de weg er naartoe , deze was ronduit gevaarlijk en niet meer onderhouden. Er zal heel wat opgeknapt moeten worden aan dit huis en de weg moet verbeterd worden anders levert dat gevaarlijke situaties op.

Wunderschöne Lage und top gepflegtes Haus

Unser Aufenthalt betrug zwei Wochen und wir haben diesen sehr genossen. Zum Haus: - sehr gut ausgestattet - sauber und ordentlich - an allen Fenstern Fliegengitter, so dass man diese nachts auflassen und lüften kann - Sicherheit: Metall-Gitter vor allen Fenstern und Türen und zwei Schlösser an den beiden Eingängen - tolle Aussichten in die Berge und über den Ort Sayalonga - zwei Terrassen und ein Aussengrill - zusätzlich Aussendusche vorhanden - Pool ausreichend groß und tief, um sich abzukühlen und ein wenig zu schwimmen - Hausverwalter sind gut zu erreichen und sprechen deutsch * wichtig zu wissen: Strom wird extra berechnet (siehe Mietvertrag) Zur Lage: - viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, bekanntere Städte im Umfeld von 1-2 Stunden und weniger erreichbar (z.B. Nerja, Malaga, Granada, diverse Naturparks und Wandermöglichkeiten) - viele schöne Strände/ Buchten ab 20 Minuten Fahrtzeit zu erreichen - kleinere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Ort und größere Lebensmittelgeschäfte im nächst gelegenen Ort Fazit: Es war insgesamt ein toller und erholsamer Urlaub. Den Punktabzug gibt es 1. für die beiden, in direkter Nachbarschaft gelegenen Häuser. Das eine liegt direkt neben dem Pool und der Zaun bietet keinen Sichtschutz; das zweite größere Haus liegt direkt hinter/ über dem Haus und es gibt ebenfalls keinen Sichtschutz auf Grillterrasse und Pool. Das Haus neben dem Pool war während unseres Aufenthalts zum Glück nicht bewohnt, so dass es uns nicht gestört hat, beim zweiten Haus hatten wir in der zweiten Woche leider Pech mit den Nachbarn, die sehr laut waren, insbesondere in der Nacht. Die Ruhe am Haus hängt also ein wenig auch von den Nachbarn ab, in der ersten Woche waren diese sehr ruhig und wir haben kaum etwas von ihnen mitbekommen. 2. für die Anfahrt zum Haus. Wir kamen aufgrund einer Flugumbuchung mitten in der Nacht am Haus an und der (zwar kurze, aber teilweise sehr steile) Weg war mit dem VW Polo und dem Gepäck sehr abenteuerlich zu bewältigen. Im Nachhinein hätten wir uns mit einem leistungsstärkeren Wagen wohler und sicherer gefühlt. Auch wenn der Weg nicht wirklich gefährlich ist, sollte man ein geübter Fahrer sein und sich nicht so schnell aus der Ruhe bringen lassen. Nach 2-3 Fahrten hoch und runter, gewöhnt man sich an die Strecke, kennt die Kurven und jedes Schlagloch, so dass dies kein Hindernis mehr darstellen sollte.

Husets beliggenhed gør det til en lille perle

Fantastisk beliggenhed højt over den lille by Sayalonga gør dette lille hus helt unikt. Udsigten til bjergene med de hvide byer, til dalene og til såvel solnedgang som stjernehimmel er uforglemmelig. Stedet er meget privat og ugenert, selv om der er et par andre huse tæt på. Sayalonga er en virkelig charmerende by, som vi oplevede i højt festhumør under den årlige byfest. Huset har det, der er behov for og giver mulighed for god svalende udluftning om natten. Om dagen giver en udendørs bruser fin mulighed for afkøling. Poolen var desværre ikke så indbydende, som forventet - hvilket ikke kun handlede om de blade og insekter, som selvfølgelig kommer ned i vandet, når der er træer i nærheden, og som vi selv kunne fiske op med nettet. Stedet er fint, hvis man har taget den afslappede spanske mentalitet til sig og tager det hele som det kommer - eller ikke kommer, som når der pludselig ikke er vand i hanerne. Køreturen til og fra huset er lidt nervepirrende, men bliver nemmere efter et par gange - og en nødvendighed, hvis man som vi, sætter pris på at bo højt oppe på bjerget. Gåturen ned og især tilbage fra Sayalonga er hård, men smuk og en fin fysisk udfordring til opvejning af den gode spanske mad.

vacances magnifiques andalousie

Jolie maison avec une magnifique vue, nous étions très très haut grâce à sa position. Nous regrettons la literie très mauvaise, matelas séparé et beaucoup trop moelleux. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Terrifying roads, shady pool and german cable package

Terrifying roads….. The roads up this Finca are steep. Even by the normal Spanish mountains standards, the last three sections of road were very dangerous and reduced me to tears. I have driven in the mountains many times before but this place is the most daunting I have ever encountered. It also spoilt our holiday as we couldn’t go out in the evening and trips out in the day time was quite unnerving. I did think I might be a coward until the cleaner nearly ran her car off the road on our last day and cursed the final road up to the place. I did contact the owner to ask her to strengthen the warnings of the road on her advert before I left this review as I don’t want to be critical but wished someone had told me before I had booked. It is a shame because the house is lovely and the letting agent in Spain was so helpful and kind. The views were good, though sadly shaded by the trees and bushes round the property when you were sitting on the terrace. The other negatives were that the pool was in the shade of the trees which meant the water was cold and collected the leaves and insects. For us, being English, the cable package is al in German which is fine if you speak German. All in all, Sayalonga was a picture. The area is great and the beaches nearby wonderful. It is an easy drive from Malaga and the couple looking after the place are wonderful. Nevertheless, I would find somewhere else in the area and find out before you book just how difficult the last few roads to the house is – its these roads which are narrow and have steep drops on one side and sheer rock faces on the other

Beautiful private casita - Sayalonga

So my partner and I wanted a lovely, private, romantic holiday in Spain - after days and days of intense searching I was lucky to find this 'little gem'. Great communication with the owners regarding booking and easy booking process- only negative point was booking was payment through BACs transfer which my bank charged £10 for. However- pretty simple and safe. We flew into Malaga airport - a really big modern airport with plenty of duty free and shops, I booked a hire car through inter-rent- I was quite nervous regarding this as I had read dreadful reviews. We did however have a great experience with them. We booked a little Fiat 500 and in hindsight really should have booked a larger engine as the drive to the casita was pretty scary- NOT for the faint hearted. Steep concrete/ windy roads to the property was not enjoyable. Over time we became more and more confident with it but I would advise a more powerful car for this. On arrival we were met by Gitte who was fab, really helpful and had tips for our holiday- she gave us her number and was happy for us to contact her if we had any problems. The property was absolutely beautiful, modern, and perfect for a couple. Great open space at the front of the house where the sun shines over from morning until evening- The waist high pool was great for cooling down. The view of the mountains down into sayalonga is spectacular and most nights we spent watching the sun set- very romantic and quiet. We spent most days out- Nerja was an easy 15 drive down the modern highway, amazing place for tourists with great restaurants, shopping, cafes, beaches etc - highly recommended. Mijas is also within approx 50 mins- a little hill top traditional Spanish town with breathtaking panoramic views down the mountain and quaint Spanish charm definitely worth a day out. During our holiday we found some 'off the beaten track' hidden beaches which had amazing snorkelling. Research these beaches before you go- if you like succluded quiet beaches for the locals rather than tourist filled commercialised ones then there are many out there. We walked into Sayalonga twice for an evening meal- this is pretty hard going unless you are quite fit- very steep hills but worth it as you'll find fig and avocado trees on your walk down. We had the most amazing holiday - if you are after out of the way, private and romantic definitely for you. Thanks to Brigitte and Juergen - we had an amazing holiday, hoping to return

Stilles Refugium im paradisischen Andalusien

Das Haus ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet, von dort ist das Meer schnell zu erreichen und die Städte Granada, Malaga und Cordoba liegen höchstens zwei Stunden Fahrt entfernt. Antequera, den Caminito del Rey und Ronda erreicht man über malerische Bergstraßen. Sayalongo selbst ist ein malerisches Örtchen mit schönen Lokalen. Die Vermieterin schickte uns seitenweise Tipps für Ausflüge, gutes Essen und nicht so sehr besuchte, schöne Strände. Wenn man genug gesehen hat und nur ausruhen möchte, kann man das auf der Terrasse in der Sonne oder im Pool ganz einsam und ungestört tun. Ideal für ein Paar, das einmal für sich sein will! Die Auffahrt zum Häuschen ist allerdings etwas abenteuerlich – die Straße wird immer schmaler und steiler, die Kehren immer enger – es empfiehlt sich, ein kleines Auto zu mieten. Dafür hat man dort oben seine Ruhe, frische und kühlere Luft und eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Uns hat der Urlaub sehr gefallen!

Perfect peace and quiet couples get-away

Indoor accommodation is ideal modern and airy with a well equipped large open plan kitchen, dinning and living area and separate bedroom and shower room. The outdoor accommodation is very secluded with a bbq and a small adult waist deep plunge pool that's a perfect place to cool down in. We brought inflatable rings from Decathlon and it was great fun floating in the sun with a rum punch in hand. The location up in the hills is ideal to get away from the busy Costa del Sol seaside area and we found we preferred being by our pool than by the sea. Easier to get a drink, get some shade or go to the loo! And no worries about leaving your belongings on beach while you swim. And it was hot so we needed refreshing dips often. The drive up is exciting and really makes you feel your in a remote place but its still easy enough to go down to beach or town. Only 10 minutes walk down the hill to Sayalonga and really only 20 minutes to walk back up the at times quite steep roads. Sayalonga village was full of very helpful people. They even opened the supermarket for us when we arrived during the afternoon siesta! And the Bar - Restaurante Palustre felt like a authentic locals pub but we were welcomed by the friendly owner and we visited it everyday and not the other venues targeting the tourists. We only stayed six nights at this property in order to go on holiday at a convenient time to us and Juergen was very helpful enabling us to stay one night at his other villa Finca Solimar. As was the Uli their local contact who helps manage the properties and drove in-front of us to show the way Casita la Colina. The first night we stay at Finca Solimar property number 24607 to read my review of this one. It's just a good! So get on a plane, load up the hire car stock up on food and drink and ICE and relax!

Entspannung pur bei Sonnenschein und Bergblick

Wer dem Massentourismus entgehen will, ist hier genau richtig. Das Ferienhaus lädt wirklich zum verweilen und entspannen ein. Nur Abends verfliegt die Entspannung ein wenig mit den Mücken, doch einfach reichlich mit Autan eincremen und so sollen diese auch kein Problem mehr darstellen. Die Anfahrt zum Ferienhaus hoch ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber unser Mietwagen (Mitsubishi Colt) hat es auch mit Mühen geschafft, eine Unterbodenversicherung wäre bei der Mietwagengesellschaft ganz angebracht, da unsere Stoßstange öfter mal den Asphalt geküsst hat. Die abenteuerliche Fhrt wird aber auf jedenfall durch den Ausblick und die schöne Casita entlohnt. Durch die Vermieter fühlt man sich ebenfalls sehr gut betreut und sie sind äußerst freundlich. Vor dem Urlaub wird man schon mit reichlich Tipps aus erster Hand zu Stränden, Restaurants und Ausflügen versorgt. Von den Stränden hat uns der Playa Canuelo am besten gefallen, hier als kleiner Tipp der Verleih von 2 Liegen und einem Sonnenschirm kostet nur 8 Euro pro Tag und da es ein sehr steiniger Strand ist, wird das Verweilen dort mit diesen Liegen gleich angenehemer. Das Essen in dem restaurant am Strand ist ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert und auch preisgünstig. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind von Fereinhaus auch gut erreichbar, ein Einkaufszentrum ist nur ein paar Autobahnabfahrten entfernt. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten wie Gibraltar, Cordoba, Sevilla, Malaga und Granada sind gut zu erreichen. Nach Gibraltar sollte man besser die bezahlpflichtige Autobahn nehmen, da man hier wirklich Zeit spart. Und als kleiner Tipp noch für Gibraltar, für diejenigen die auf den Affenberg wollen. Wir waren mit einem der Taxidienste oben, da die Warteschlange am Cablecar ewig lang war. Die Gebühren sind die gleichen, man spart sich Wartezeit und jede Menge Lauferei, da man hier direkt zu der Tropfsteinhöhle, zu den Affen und zu den Tunneln fahren. Desweitern erzählt der Taxifahrer noch ein bisschen was zu Gibraltar. Und ein Affe hat ein besonderes Verhältnis zu den Taxifahreren, dass er auch Fotos mit sich machen lässt. Es war wirklich ein wunderschöner Urlaub und die Casita kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
