Lovely cozy apartment in a beautiful area!

We enjoyed our stay. Truckee is a beautiful city in the Sierra Mountains. We hiked and enjoyed local attractions. We can't wait to return!

A fabulous property in a super location.

Wow, we were blown away by this property - the perfect setting, great information provided by the hosts, very clean and well-appointed - just lovely in every way - we even had a bear strolling across the front one night, fortunately on the drive below, with no danger to us or him!!

This was our 2nd stay at this apartment. It had everything we needed. A clean, comfortable place to relax. The owners are very responsive to any needs. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful and well appointed

Erikaā€™s one bedroom is beautiful, clean, and well laid out. The furnishings, linens, and decor are top notch. The parking is convenient, the heater is hot and the kitchen is well stocked. Check-in and out was easy after I got the key code because the VRBO app was not working for me. The neighborhood is quiet and scenic.

This place was everything we needed it to be. It was perfect for the 2 of us and we loved that it had a kitchen so we didnā€™t have to eat out every night. The bed was very comfortable. It was a bit hot during the day (no AC), but cooled off at night with the overhead fans and the windows open. We werenā€™t around during the day, so that didnā€™t bother us at all. Itā€™s about 10 min to downtown Truckee, and an easy drive. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a wonderful experience!

Erika is an amazing host and her apartment is perfect! It was very clean, all appliances work as they should. There is a fun sledding hill just few minutes away from the house and we even walked through knee deep snow to Glenshire pizza for dinner one night. Bring snowshoes :) Both Erika and Alex were exceptionally helpful when we needed something, like help getting unstuck during heave snowfall or figuring out the accommodation for an extra night when I80 closed for travel. I wanted to keep this place as our little secret but the world deserves to know about this little gem of a place to stay in Truckee. Thank you Erika and Alex! We hope to be back!

Lovely Stay

This spot was perfect for a work trip to the area- the unit was very clean and well equipped (super cozy memory foam mattress!) and having a washer/dryer was super convenient. The location was lovely to feel secluded but it was a short drive to downtown. I would definitely stay here again!

Well equiped and comfortable.

Unit is over the garage but feels more like part of the main house, with a common indoor foyer. It is at the same time private and well separated. All the furnishings are good quality and thoughtful. The kitchen had everything needed, even for a longer stay. The distance from town and the relatively busy street for such a quiet neighborhood were the only negatives.

This property, surrounded by its tall pine trees, exudes calm vibes all year round. The neighborhood of Glenshire has many charms, with the Glenshire Lake just a short walk away and the incredibly well-stocked general store around the corner while still being just far enough away from downtown Truckee to feel like you're in the woods!

------ The Apartment Suite ------

The suite is the perfect launching point for any mountain adventure and peaceful nook to recharge at the end of an enriching day!

You'll have your own private deck for coffee among the pines. The suite comes with a fully stocked kitchen, as well as leather couches to melt into while watching your favorite programs on the 65-inch HD TV. We have streaming services, board games and books for entertainment in your down time between adventures and the bedroom is equipped with a Himalayan salt lamp to fully help you unwind.


------ The House Layout ------

There are two units in the house, each branching off from the central foyer. The apartment suite is first door you encounter as you enter the space (on the left side of the foyer). On the opposite end of the foyer, up a set of stairs, is another unit we rent out to long-term tenants.

The front entrance and foyer are the only shared spaces in the house, all other areas shown in the photos are for private guest use. As such, the only time you'll ever see the other tenants is if you happen to be entering or leaving at the same time. Otherwise, you have the place to yourself!
