Excellent Villa, Peaceful Location, Everything We Needed
The villa was presented spotlessly clean, and everything has been thought of to make the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the living area is comfortable, modern and more spacious than the photos suggest. The pool area is immaculate and the paving around the pool didn't get hot, even on very hot days, so you can walk around comfortably in bare feet. Even the excellent BBQ has been positioned with thought, so you are in the shade if cooking from early afternoon onwards, and the covered outdoor seating area is very comfortable for relaxing.
We received a very warm welcome from Irena and her daughter-in-law, as well as very generous welcome provisons, including a huge fruit basket, meat platter, wine, juice and homemade schnapps. I'd like to thank Irena for her generosity and for making us feel so welcome.
The villa is very secure (alarm system and safe) and although there is only a single aircon unit in the living area, this was sufficient to keep all of the rooms cool when needed.
Krmed is an attractive rural location, with a number of nice walks straight from the villa, and a good range of birds nearby (Cirl Bunting, Hoopoe, Hawfinch, Turtle Dove, Nightingale, Little Owl) which appealed to me as a birdwatcher.
Although there are no shops in the village, you are unlikely to want to stay here without hiring a car, and Bale is less than a 10 minute drive and has a range of restaurants, as well as a small supermarket, grocers and bakery. The property is also well situated for trips to Rovinj, Pula and Kamenjak.
The villa was just what we were looking for and my wife and two teenagers (16 and 18) all rated it as one of the best holiday properties we have stayed at. Thank you, family Perisic!
