505 – Lovely Oceanfront 1/1.5 unit – great ocean view with A/C!

Unit 505 is a fifth floor condo at the Kihei Surfside Resort is on the sought after ocean side of the elevator. It has a spectacular view from the kitchen, living room, dining area and lanai. It has been consistently upgraded by its long term owners. Overall, the unit is in good condition and is very popular with guests. Air conditioning was installed in June 2024.

The entire unit is tiled. The island style kitchen has light oak cabinets and dark granite counters. This stylish kitchen is well equipped with white appliances - a side by side refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser, flat top stove with microwave hood fan above, full size dishwasher and garbage disposer.

The living room has a queen size sofa-bed with a matching loveseat and a swivel-rocker bucket chair. There is also a 47", wall mounted flat screen LCD TV, stereo with CD player and multi speed ceiling fan.

The dining area has a round rattan glass table with 4 matching tropical rattan chairs.

The large, private lanai has a bistro table with two padded swivel rocker chairs - a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner! Turtles and dolphins can be seen year round, whales in season.

The entry hall has a large dresser.

The bedroom has a king size bed, multi speed ceiling fan, plantation shutters, digital security safe and Hawaiian style rattan furniture.

The master bathroom has a full size, walk in shower with a small bench and a shower massage head with hand held wand. There is a vanity with Corian countertop. The matching half bath has been similarly decorated.

This condo is fully equipped with fresh linens and towels, hair dryer, iron/ironing board. All units have beach towels and a cooler. Umbrellas and snorkel gear are NOT supplied, but are often left behind in the units by other guests – no guarantees. The Kihei Surfside office loans out beach chairs free of charge during regular business hours - Monday to Saturday. Office is closed Sundays and Holidays. Coin laundry facilities are available on site.

The unit has free, wireless high speed internet and free long distance calling to the United States and Canada. It is also equipped with a state of the art Oracode door lock, whereby each guest is issued a unique code which controls the door only during their stay. No keys!

This unit is an excellent choice for guests who are looking for a spacious, comfortable high end oceanfront condo with a spectacular view.

The property itself features an extensive and immaculately kept lawn area with dozens of loungers, with a heated swimming pool and deluxe barbecue facilities. In season, there are daily whale sightings from both the grounds and lanais. The building is located at the north end of Keawakapu beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui, where you can walk for miles past some of the most expensive oceanfront homes on the island and the luxurious hotels of Wailea.

For units that accommodate more than 2 guests (4 guests maximum), additional fees apply for additional guests at the rate of $15 per night for youths (17 and under) and $25 per night for adults (18 and over).

It is customary for the residents of the Kihei Surfside to gather each evening for cocktails on the shore near the tiki torches for a traditional Hawaiian sundown ceremony. This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and fellow vacationers!

Kihei Surfside Resort is located in the 2900 block of S. Kihei Road, at the entrance of beautiful Wailea. This is the desert part of Maui, where the sun shines more than any other part of the island. The resort consists of an absolute oceanfront concrete building of 6 floors and 84 deluxe units with an elevator.

There are two very nice oceanfront restaurants within 100 yards of the resort. The Grand Wailea Hotel, The Shops at Wailea and Wailea/Makena Golf Courses are close by and Kahalui airport is just twenty-five minutes away.

Rental cars are available at the airport or in Kihei town. There is free parking on site. Just a few minutes from the airport are Costco, Wal-Mart and Sears. A short drive from the resort is Safeway, Foodland and Star Market, where you can stock up on groceries. Right across the parking lot from the Surfside is an upscale deli/grocery store for last minute items, and a yoga studio.

The world class golf facilities of Wailea and Makena are nearby. Windsurfing, and many other water activities are also available nearby. Some of the best snorkeling on Maui is steps from the property. The Pacific Foundation conducts their annual whale count from the Surfside property. The Kihei boat ramp, from where the pleasure boats and sightseeing/snorkeling tours depart, is a five minute walk.

Kihei town itself is only a few minutes away by car and boasts many fine restaurants, video and gift shops. Historical Lahaina and beautiful Kaanapali beach are a scenic 25 minute drive towards the western part of Maui.
