Unique, historic home in walk-able, Hallmark style town

The building was built in 1899 with 3/4 of the it being the home for the shop owners. It was updated in 2018 but we worked hard to maintain the "old feel" while bringing in modern amenities. It has a one-of-a-kind view of St. Mary Catholic Church.
It features original wood floors, low or no VOC paint and finishes on walls and furniture, Comfy queen-sized beds, luxurious sheets and towels, cozy robes, unique decor, and is decorated in a relaxed cottage/farmhouse style.
The first floor is the common area which includes a living room, large dining table, and kitchenette. A well stocked coffee/tea bar. Full size refrigerator stocked with 1/2 & 1/2 and multiple coffee creamers is always ready and waiting! A microwave, instant hot water pot, toaster, Kuerig, drip coffee maker, and full size fridge and freezer round out our simple kitchenette. Other small appliances available upon request. There are multiple, delicious restaurants within walking distance and many more within a 10 minute drive.
The second floor has four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite and a private shower room accessible from the hallway. This building is 120+ years old and was not originally built with indoor plumbing;) so we got creative. You will find it very comfortable and cozy with many amenities.
Each room is decorated in a unique color palette and has a cozy, vintage feel. Comfy queen size beds and luxurious sheets and towels will make you feel pampered!
The back yard consists of a soft surface patio, developing English garden style landscaping, and a grass yard. A great place to sit and have coffee or wine:)
Our Inn is not just a place to stay. It is a place to make memories, relax, and have a slower paced life!
We are able to provide groceries or food delivery upon request. We also can connect you with a caterer who can provide you with amazing food as well.
Wine tours, hot air balloon rides, private tours, breweries, hiking, and hot springs are close by as well. We look forward to you being our guests!

This was such a fun house to stay in. The store next door and the decorating of the house was so much fun. All the modern amenities with the historic feel.

Wedding visit

We really enjoyed our stay. The house had just what we needed, space to sit outside, beautiful rooms with en-suite half baths, and a nice kitchen to make and share meals. We’d do it all again!

Amazing Property

What an amazing property! The feel of this space was wonderful with repurposed and quaint decor. A slice of history to experience. Each of the four rooms were comfortable and the common area was perfect to gather. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Gathering Place

Four separate bedrooms made it easy for our growing family to spend time together. Walkable to downtown, the Abby and great restaurants. Outdoor seating made visiting with friends and family an enjoyable place to relax!

You can’t beat this charming rental

Great stay for 3 or 4 couples. Right in town. Clean and comfortable. It is so close to everything in town and walking distance to the Abbey and the Benedictine brew pub. The owner and her shop are charming. We have already booked for 2035!

Absolutely charming!

This was a perfect girls weekend getaway! We each had our own bed and bathroom which gave us all some privacy. The location was perfect for all of our weekend plans and the shop connected to the inn was so much fun to browse. There is a small peephole in the stairwell that we used to scope out things in the shop below when we arrived!! Already planning a return trip!

Reunion

Great accommodations for a group. A little awkward not having a downstairs restroom. Very clean with cute decorations. Property could easily accommodate a larger group. Single shower never an issue. Window a/c units cooled rooms quite well.

Great location, walking distance to downtown and a short uber ride to the Orgen Garden. Only thing I was wary about was the house is combined with the owner’s mercantile store. I found a hole in the wall on the home’s staircase and felt like my friends and I were being listened to

The hole in the stairwell is an original feature of the "home". It was used by the family who lived there and ran the store as their "security system". The husband could see the front door from it. The building is old but surprisingly you cannot hear much from the Airbnb side. I am usually playing music and have customers in the store and so it is easier for our guests to hear us:) Thank you for being our guests!

Charming

Very quaint and charming place. Perfect place to hang out and unwind with our family during our daughter’s wedding nearby. Beautiful location. Had a couple of nice long walks through the neighborhood among several charming, beautifully manicured old homes. We also enjoyed the gorgeous Catholic Church next door, and it’s hourly church bell. Kelly was a pleasure to meet. Sweet and accommodating. Her little gift shop in the front of the building is adorable.

Super Charming & Unique

What an amazing place to stay! 5 friends in town for a "girl's weekend". The town is walkable with several wineries, restaurants and shopping nearby. The historical house is absolutely adorable! So artsy and fun. Well laid out, spacious and very clean. It is attached to the owners mercantile which offers so many fun items. Kelly, the owner, is wonderful! She gave us so many great ideas on places to visit, shop and eat. She was incredibly gracious, friendly and welcoming! You can tell this very special place was a labor of love.

Picture perfect!

I rented this house to get ready in for my wedding day. My bridesmaids and I stayed there the night before to get ready there the day of. It was perfectly decorated so cute and quaint. My photographers couldn’t believe how cute it was and I can’t wait to see the wedding pictures. This was an amazing stay. I even left a gift accidentally at the end and the host worked with me and we got it back. Would definitely recommend 10 out of 10.

Great Location for Wedding Party

The home was cute and a great location. However, I was unaware the "kitchenette" meant no stove or oven. There were also very few cooking utensils. We brought our own electric fry pan and that helped. We were also bothered by a huge hole in stairway wall that opened into the store below. The owners were helpful thought. They bought a can opener and ran it over when we asked.

Thank you for being our guests. I try to be very clear about what is available for cooking and we also have items you can request. This is not included in our listing and I will be sure to be more clear about that. Per codes we are not able to have a cookstove without incurring a VERY large cost, which we would then have to pass on to our guests. Hence the takeout menus for local establishments that we include. We want to stimulate our small town by encouraging our guests to patronize our local eateries, deli, and food carts. The hole in the stairwell wall is approximately 6"x 8" and is an original feature of the building. The family who ran the store used it to check on the store at night and watch the front door for breakins. We are sorry that it caused you distress. To clarify people on the store side cannot see through the "hole in the wall" and most patrons do not even notice it as it is concealed in a shelving unit. Thank you for being our guests!

Family trip to Mt. Angel

We used 3 of the 4 bedrooms and appreciated the sink/toilet set-up for each bedroom with one shower room separate. The location is ideal for walking to everything in the town of Mt. Angel. We loved our time in this home!

Amazing in every way

Unique and fun

Great opportunity to stay in a renovated boarding house. Out group rented the whole place and enjoyed the novelty of this location. Local eateries were amazing and town was peaceful and idylllic.

Peaceful retreat to gather with family

The hostess was wonderfully helpful. Ahead of our arrival late on a Friday afternoon into evening (to attend a nearby family funeral the next morning) she offered to provide us with a few basic grocery items for our breakfast the next day. The White Corner Inn provided us a quiet, homey place with lots of room to gather and eat and sleep. The beds were comfortable and having a bathroom in each bedroom was a big plus!
