Welcome to the Tree House—your favorite place to gather at Higgins Lake !! This two story cottage is a 4 minute walk to Sam-o-Set Park and Beach (with a public boat launch) and a 5 minute walk to Good Times Party Store. It is 16 miles (21 minute drive) to Houghton Lake and it’s famous Tip up Town-a winter favorite of the area. The Tree House features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The first floor living space has a twin daybed with a twin trundle for additional sleeping. The open concept kitchen (FULLY LOADED) and great room is on the second floor and it has amazing light and ample seating for family meals and game nights. Enjoy your evenings on the deck or roast marshmallows over a bonfire at the fire pit. We love the knotty pine wood throughout this cottage and the layout is perfect for entertaining. Two levels gives you privacy with plenty of space for quiet time in the various hang out spots. The garage has a ping pong table, smart TV, heater and seating for gathering.

Perfect For Our Adult Family Weekend

This was our second Winter Getaway at the Treehouse property and we loved every minute of our stay. Two full baths and two "living rooms" with TVs were great for our group of 5 adults. And the heated garage is another fun socialization area with ping pong and other games. We love the hot tub after cross country skiing and snow tubing. The owners are so easy to work with and responded to every question. This year we played Yahtzee and had alot of couch time/book time in front of the fire when we weren't outside enjoying Michigan winter fun. Thanks for sharing your home!

Cross country ski weekend

This house was ideal for our friend group of 5 adults and 3 teenagers for a weekend of skiing. The arrangement of the house and the furnishings were perfect. We would certainly stay here again!

Great location, hosts are very responsive

A four day family getaway with plenty to do at the property or in the area. Enjoyed campfires, ping ping, cornhole and rented a pontoon for a day. Hosts were very responsive to every question and we had zero issues! Nice vacation to end the summer!

Hello! My name is Ashley and I am a Yooper! I moved to lower Michigan after meeting my husband at MSU (Go Green). We purchased a cottage in Higgins Lake in 2020 and we love the "up north" feel and the crystal clear water. We spend a lot of time at Higgins with our three kids and we know you will love it just as much as we do!!

The Tree House is an amazing combination of knotty pine and cottage glam! We love the layout that is perfect for entertaining and the natural light that truly makes you feel like you are one with the trees. We love to walk whenever possible and the closeness to the beach AND the party store (that has anything and everything you need!) makes this location ideal.

The dining room table and benches are PERFECT for family time together--eating, playing games, or reminiscing of the past. The open concept floor plan makes it the perfect entertaining space!
