Enjoy the great location of this Seafarer cottage condo. A 10 minute walk to Wallis Sands State Beach which affords vacationers a sandy beach. Enjoy the ocean views poolside. Relax across the Boulevard by the ocean shore on-the-rocks, swim at low tide, or enjoy some of the best local fishing! Downtown Portsmouth is a 15 minute drive.

NOTE: VRBO is posting the property as a 2 minute walk to Pirates Cove; It is 20 minute walk to Pirates Cove; Wallis Sands Beach is an 8-10 minute walk.

Local Attractions: The Seacoast Science Center and Odione Point State Park provide excellent education and fun activities for all family members; including many bike trails and scenic ocean views of Wentworth Marina.

Rye Harbor located three miles south offers many fishing and harbor boat excursions.
Portsmouth just 5 miles north offers great restaurants and night life.

With Access from Shoals View Drive, it is easier for guests to remain socially distanced from others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The location was perfect for exploring the area. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Kitchen is well stocked. The bed is very comfortable. The patio was a great place to relax and read a book. We also enjoyed the pool as well as the views of the ocean. Joe was a pleasure to work with and check in was really easy.

Wonderful stay!

This was the perfect getaway spot, we had everything we needed in a prime location close to all the beaches and restaurants. Can’t wait to book again for next year!

Cute and Cozy

Definetly a small space but served us very well as a launch off point. There's a little ocean view and it was just a couple steps down the road to check the waves. Great location!

The seashore

Such a little piece of paradise! It was great to meet Joe who was wonderful to book with .It had everything we needed for a weeks stay wonderful nights grilling with the smell of the salt air and beautiful walks on the rocky beach right across the street can't wait to return!

Beautiful retreat

I rented this place for myself. I had visitors but really just wanted a week to relax alone. The place was so nicely kept. The pool was clean. I was the only one using it most days. The beach was close and the grounds were nicely done. I really enjoyed my stay. Just what I was looking for.

Serenity by the Sea

Well kept and nostalgic, the cottage colony had winding paths and grass to make it appealing. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating even installing a sturdy hand bar at a step up to the kitchen. Though a small space, we knew that ahead of time- everything was well thought through for convenience--- everything that was needed was there. Ocean right across the street. Very enjoyable stay.

Poor description and facilities

Description was full kitchen. Oven was broken and stove had a burner unusable. Oven was a combination microwave/convection on top of the refrigerator. When presented displeasure with no oven and stove owner asked “ what was I to do?” How about making that information available before we arrived! How about making a price concession? Also we were told to enjoy the Weber grill, Grill was a Weber but assumption of a Weber grill is not an small charcoal grill. Owner did nothing to compensate his false description and lack of consideration for rental, and so recommendations for this rental would be inconsiderate of future rentals.

Wonderful location and accommodations

This cottage was delightful to stay in - it is clean, modern, and had lots of extras that aren’t necessarily found in all rentals (iron, tabletop iron board, hairdryer, armoire, hangers, etc,). The living room has 3 walls of sliding doors which allows fresh air to circulate throughout. Or, use the wall AC unit in the bedroom for those warm nights. The kitchen was stocked well though I did not cook while there. Bedroom was comfortable and had extra storage bins under the bed. Bathroom has a full sized shower and was well lit. That in itself is a keeper over other rentals with tiny showers. I loved the pool access and the easy access to the rocky beach across the street, plus the bistro table where I would enjoy my breakfast. Outdoor lights allowed for safe return later at night, as well as motion lights along the pathway from the parking spots. Most lights indoors are also on a dimmer which was a nice touch. Overall, the location is great - walkable to Wallis Sands and an easy drive into Portsmouth or Rye for meals or the grocery store, etc. Joe was a great resource before and during my trip. Truly enjoyed my week and will be back!

Sweet cottage!

We loved this cute, clean cottage for its close proximity to the beautiful seashore! The pool was a plus as well as the quiet surroundings. Joe has a lovely place that we really enjoyed. Small, but done very well. Bright, airy, and fresh. We’ll be back!

Fantastic Cottage

My son and I stayed here for a week and it was great. The property manager was super responsive and friendly. The inside of the cottage was so cozy and with updated amenities. It is within walking distance of Wallis Sands beach. Highly recommend it!

Wonderful modern cottage

All the comforts of home and an ocean view ! Clean, well stocked, fast wifi, lovely grounds (trees, flowers, etc.). Owner was easy to communicate with. Hope to return again.

Seafarer cottages on the beach

We spent a wonderful week at the seafarer cottage and rye New Hampshire The owner Joe Was very friendly and helpful anything you needed he was Johnny-on-the-spot. You could not have asked for a cleaner cottage, good view of the water ,all the amenities were right there.

Fabulous Cottage in Rye, NH

Great location across ocean Blvd from a beautiful rocky beach. The sea is visible from the east facing slider! Wake to lovely birdsong & enjoy a great walk along the ‘cliffs’ of Ocean Blvd. Easy walk to Wallis Sands if you prefer walking in the sand & surf. Cottage is immaculate & outfitted well for meals at home on the patio with comfy chairs, table & umbrella. Host Joe is great! Highly recommend this perfect vrbo.

Charming Getaway

The property is conveniently located to all sites and activities in the area. Perfect for a couple getaway. The owner is accessible and responsive. We had a very pleasant experience and would recommend this property.

Adorable Cottage with Excellent Location

Cute cottage in one of the most beautiful beach locations in New Hampshire. We walked for 7 miles one day. It's close to lovely state parks and a super short walk to the main beach. A quick drive to the Kittery Outlets in Maine and fun restaurants in Portsmouth. We also took a boat out to historic Star Island. The pool on site is bright and clean. The water is NOT heated so be ready for the chill, but it was a delight on hot days. The only reason I am giving this property 4 stars instead of 5 is that the home is very small and starts to feel a bit claustrophobic when it rains. We did explore some places in the rain, but after 3 of 7 days being rainy, there was really not much left to do.

Amazing Vacation

My husband and I had a wonderful vacation and loved the condo that we stayed in. It was wonderful to swim in the pool as we were here during a very hot heat wave. We would definitely come back. It’s also a very good location, close to everything.

cozy & quiet

Property was as described. Cottage was in a quiet area of Rye, approximately 8 minute walk to Wallis Sands State beach. Home was fully equipped with towels, sheets, paper supplies and condiments. New gas grill. Joe, the owner, checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Although the bed was comfortable, an upgrade to a queen would be a plus. Thanks for working with us, Joe. It was a pleasure.
