Big Timber Lodge is an experience you do NOT want to miss! Big Timber is ideally located just south of Helen, GA in beautiful mountain surroundings on an idyllic private lake. Whether you want to relax in privacy on the front or back covered porches or have fun swimming, canoeing, or fishing on the private lake, Big Timber has so much to offer.

For fall and winter time guests on those cold evenings, cozy up around the outdoor firepit and roast some marshmallows or sip on some hot chocolate as you gaze into the firelight. Enjoy preparing food in the well-equipped kitchen for friends and family while you chill your newly bought bottle of wine from one of the many local wineries. Or for that afternoon nap or a good night's sleep, you can find seclusion in the private master suite and wash the day away in the jetted garden tub. There is more than enough room for your friends and family in this grand lodge! This spacious 2-story home has an overhanging loft and ample room for up to twenty people to sleep comfortably. Once you find yourself wandering downstairs, you'll find the fully finished terrace level with a full-size pool table and additional family room with a bar to kick back and cheer on your favorite team on the 2 large HD TVs.

Weekend getaway

Very nice and clean cabin secluded but close to stores if you need it. Pretty much everything you need. Was there very impressive cabin lots of fun for everyone

Awesome Cabin

This was a great cabin with plenty of room for all my family! We had a wonderful time cooking in the well stocked kitchen, playing games in the game room, roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, and soaking in the hot tub! It was a wonderful place and we enjoyed seeing all the deers running around the property! Excellent cabin and very accommodating host! We will definitely be back!

Peaceful getaway

We were in the area for a short visit due to a funeral and found the property because it was only about 15 minutes from the services. The cabin and its large outdoor spaces were truly peaceful and filled with comforts and lots of amenities. The property management company was informative, responsive, and unobtrusive. We wished we could have stayed longer and plan to return soon!

Friends Trip

As a large group of friends it is hard to find a nice cabin to stay in. The Big Timber Lodge has everything we wanted: plenty of beds, a pool table, cornhole, updated appliances, and close proximity to the river. Overall we had a great time!

Perfect Family Cabin

If youā€™re looking for a cabin for a family or friend group that has secluded woods feeling but is close to Helen and all the fun things to do, this is the place for you! The cabin was clean and everything you needed to feel at home. Plenty of room for kids and games for them. Relaxing fire pit and hot tub. Nearby beautiful lake with canoes. The company was easy to contact and quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Great time in the mountains with friends!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights for a spring break getaway with 3 families. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had ALMOST everything we needed (we needed to peel carrots but couldnā€™t find peeler). Loved that there was water and ice dispenser in the fridge. Kids loved all being down in the game room. Hot tub was hot and enjoyed by all. Loved the private pond and canoe access! There is no dart board as advertised FYI. Appreciated the text upon check in that I was able to reach out to when we needed sheet changed for one bed upon finding a stain upon arrival. Housekeeping came out and changed. Overall, all were very happy with our stay and enjoyed our time so very much.

Beautiful Cabin

Cabin was perfect for our family stay. We had 16 people in the cabin and there was plenty of things to do nearby and on the site. The kids loved the game room, fire pit, and spa during our stay. Helen was only a 20 minute drive with many restaurants and activities for everyone to do. The alpine mountain coaster was one of the highlights of the trip. Cabin was clean and plenty of space for a relaxing vacation in the woods. I would highly recommend this property and I would love to visit again. Check in and out was a breeze.

Great Family Getaway

We spent several days at Big Timber Lodge and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the cabin and all it had to offer. With eight adults, we had plenty of room and everything we needed and more. The downstairs game room and outside deck with hot tub and fire pit was perfect for fun evenings making family memories. We enjoyed playing pool, darts, and even had a corn hole tournament. We also canoed the Chattahoochee River through Wildwood Outfitters, had lunch at Troll Tavern in Helen, grilled at the cabin, and enjoyed a beautiful evening at Yonah Mountain Vineyards. We were close enough to visit our family in Cornelia and Demorest but also felt like we were secluded in a beautiful mountain home. We highly recommend Big Timber Lodge.

This property was amazing. We loved it. It actually felt like a home away from home. We went for my kids summer vacation, 4th of july and my daughter's birthday trip. We had a blast here. It was a easy close drive to helen ga. We thought we wasnt going to stay at the house that much but we actually stayed at the house more then going out because it had everything to keep us busy. My son and step dad loved going fishing everyday. My daughter and her friends ejoyed the hot tub. Me and my mom enjoyed just being able to spend time with the family. It was one of our favorite trips. We will definitely consider staying here again. We stayed an extra night because we loved it so much. It was a awesome 8 day vacation. Love, love, love this cabin!!!

Mountain retreat

Such a lovely cabin. It was well stocked with all the essentials and the set up was exactly as we expected. Extremely clean and the property company was available anytime we needed them.
