All Sugar Beach Resort Maui condos feature a private lanai, a fully-equipped kitchen, free WiFi, a washer/dryer, and all the resort amenities you’d expect from the best hotels.

Beachfront room with amazing view

Clean one bedroom unit. Great view of Kihei beach. Steps from the ocean with a pool and jacuzzi also available. We cooked every day in the unit. Had almost everything we needed. We really enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the patio. Mahalo and aloha.

Good value, good location

This unit was right on the beach. There is a heated community pool and hot tub, open nightly till 9:30pm. Nice appliances (no toaster). The sofa bed was ok. The master bedroom had a very comfortable bed. Beach towels are available but not other beach gear. Washer and dryer worked great. They spray for bugs so you may find tiny dead brown roaches on the floor.

Sugar Beach 134 review

The door in the bedroom is literally falling apart. Shards of wood breaking off. The carpet in the bedroom has a musty smell and you can tell it’s been there awhile. Our family woke up coughing every morning/sore throats. Cockroaches + baby cockroaches when I showered. The kitchen wasn’t stocked well. No pot holders, no measuring cups, very very minimal overall kitchen utensils. No beach chairs. No sand toys for kids. We’ve been staying at Sugar Beach for ten years all at different units. This was by far our least favorite.

Sugar Beach 134 needs repairs, Vacasa neglects us

Love Sugar Beach! condo was well equipped, despite needing repairs, location is amazing ! Our condo had issues Screen door was not attached, patio front needs repair, cement edge breaking away in places, ceiling needed repair paint was peeling in many places, ceiling had many cracks, slider door drapes were filthy, dryer vent left much lint in shower despite following directions, shower wall needed to cleaned before using shower, bathroom sink was clogged leaving it unusable most of the stay. Despite 3 phone calls to Vacasa help desk, 3 visits to Sugar beach office ( the 3 ladies were kind and sympathetic But shocked each time we visited them that no one from Vacasa reached out to us ) And an email as per requested by the ladies in the office with pictures of the issues sent to sugar beach who then spoke with a local Vacasa rep, Not one return call, visit or email from Vacasa during our month stay. Not acceptable to ignore and never address any of the issues. All could have been handled in a day or so. The experience was not what we had expected. Our family has stayed at various Sugar Beach Resort units 28 times over the years, never an issue. Our trip was planned a year in advance, we paid 10,000 for a month there but were not offered even the slightest support when there were issues. I have attached photos of issues. I do have a few more photos on my phone. Even 3 weeks after our return home no one has reached out to us. Tal and Sheila

This unit was clean and comfortable but in need of more updating. Tile floors are an excellent idea, bed was comfortable but the kitchen was minimally supplied for cooking and what there was of the pans and pots need to be replaced - old and worn to the point of not being safe. Washing machine died on the day before we needed to check out and wasn't fixed when we left so we were glad none of our clothes were left in the tub that wouldn't drain. Cassette stereo player belongs in a museum and the tv was so small we had to move the furniture closer to be able to see anything. We appreciated the a/c, ceiling fans and newer fridge, microwave, and vacuum cleaner. Stove worked but barely. Sliding glass door to patio is warped and allows sand to blow in. The beach and the location of course are still awesome. The patio is in dire need of repair and refurbishing - unit next door has a tiled patio floor - excellent idea and makes sand cleanup so much easier. Hopefully the units can continue to be updated.

Oceanview Stay

Sugar Beach Resort 134 provides bang for your buck. The condo itself is quite dated but clean. Please note that we did spot a roach during our stay but, apparently, they are quite common in Hawaii. The stay was affordable and the location was central. But, what makes this stay so special however is its oceanview. I spent my mornings sipping coffee overlooking the ocean or sitting on the beach and that was one of my highlights of my trip! Would recommend for anyone looking for affordability and a great view!

There's a reason it's the cheapest unit to rent

My issue was with what wasn't provided more than the unit itself. It could definitely use an update and new furniture. It was horrible to sit on!!! There were no beach chairs/umbrella to go sit on the beach, we had to rent them. The small cooler was busted. Only one lounge chair available on the lanai.

No mattress for sofa. Only mattress cover over Springs, yes Springs .

It was a lovely view, great kitchen and view. Unfortunately we were never told that there would be renovation going on next door for 2 days of our stay. A contractor was cutting tile outside most of the day while we were trying to relax . Bummer. Please let the owners know this. I think we were short changed a bit and the condo needs a real deep deep cleaning in bathroom for sure! Mahalo
