The “Bear’s Den”—a family favorite cabin!

Welcome to the “Bear’s Den”—an inviting, charming cabin in the beautiful neighborhood of Tahoe Vista! Enjoy views of trees and the lake in this split-level, 2 bedroom-1 bath ~1200 sq ft cabin in the woods. The main level features a sunny deck with Weber gas grill, a kitchen with bar, a table by the fireplace, and a comfortable sitting area. Downstairs, the first bedroom features a queen bed and the second bedroom accommodates 4 in twin bunk beds (very family friendly!). The bathroom with shower is adjacent to the two bedrooms. Upstairs there is a queen sleeper sofa in a spacious loft/den with a 4-person table. A gas fireplace with a remote control makes cozy evenings by the fire as easy as possible. A full kitchen, as well as a patio table on the deck, enhance mealtimes. Enjoy happy hour in the mountain air seated in two Adirondack chairs in side yard of the cabin. Entertainment includes an array of board games, a smart TV and complimentary WiFi. An adjacent Tahoe conservancy lot and quiet, walkable neighborhood allows for plenty of outdoor space to explore. Walk less than a mile to North Tahoe Regional Park (hiking, biking, ball fields, ropes courses, playground, sledding and snowshoeing) or explore the shoreline (half mile away). Kings Beach, Carnelian Bay, cross country skiing and major ski resorts are all within a short drive (Northstar 9 miles, Pallisades 15 miles, Diamond Peak 10 miles). Driveway accommodates 3 cars. Storage area on bottom level includes washer/dryer. Pack n play as well as booster seat with tray available.

Lovely stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Bears Den! The communication with the owners was fantastic! The beds were more comfortable than my own bed! So soft! We can’t wait to stay here again for another summer trip to Tahoe!

Summer getaway

Property is in a very nice quaint neighborhood but still walking distance to some shops nearby. Host was easy to reach out to and responded back timely to any questions. Overall, it was a great stay and enjoyed our few days in Lake Tahoe.

Beautifully quiet setting. Peaceful and full of little critters. Close to the lake and kayaking.

Property was convenient to everything and a fun little rental. Enjoyed all our meals on the deck and a glass of wine and a food book on the little terrace.

Fabulous view and location

A beautiful A-frame cottage with a large Rec room, great kitchen, balcony and nice bedrooms. We got to see some bears walk through the property and it was fantastic location for all activities on the lake.

Cozy cabin - great location

Enjoyed stay. Bathroom shower is small and could use some updating. Deck needs to be refurbished as well. Otherwise this is a great spot - hosts were great.

Great location!

Cozy home in Tahoe Vista close to the lake, King's beach and shops. Extremely clean with well appointed kitchen. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the sunny deck with views of the lake and surrounding mountains! Host was very helpful and responsive to questions. Overall highly recommended!

Wonderful Getaway!

Before we arrived, the owner had wonderful communication, offering the use of snow disks, sledding recommendations, and more. The Bear's Den is well appointed with everything you might need. The bedding was super warm, along with throw blankets everywhere you might want to snuggle up and watch the snow from inside. Highly recommend, we will return again!

Cozy Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay and my 6 year old did not want to leave. He loved all the different places to sleep. I loved the convenience to everything and all the special touches around the house. The management was also very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful!

My whole family enjoyed our stay. Even my kids said they loved the cabin. It is a very nice place and the layout is super cool. I like to take my own stuff when I go to places like this, but they pretty much have everything you'll need. The best part is that the dog beach is 7 mins to your right and the people beach is 7 mins to your left. Great location! 100% recommended!

Cozy house close to the lake

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great. We loved the front deck, perfect for bird watching with a view of the lake. The house was well equipped and multilevel. The only issue we had was the shower… it was quite small and hard to adjust the temperature, making it difficult because we had small children to bathe. We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with the necessities and spices.

Wonderful location and a clean nice house

The place was perfect for a vacation. Clean and nice house, tucked away from traffic, beautiful views from the house, and minutes away from Kings beach. The host, Carina, made it super easy for us to enjoy our stay. She not only helped us check in, but also gave a great list of things to do and where to dine. That was very helpful in planning. The house seems recently remodeled. It is very clean and all equipments are new and worked perfectly. It’s great place to relax.

Pleasant, comfortable house

The house was in a quiet neighborhood not far from the lake. We even saw a bear strolling across the patio. The kitchen is well equipped and convenient. The view of the lake from the deck was nice. The bedrooms and bathroom are quite small, but adequate. Keep in mind that there are many stairs to climb. Not a problem for us.

Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Bear’s Den- the cabin is cozy and well equipped. Loved how close it was to the lake and shops/eateries, and even found some nice walking trails. Our dog loved the dog park that was walking distance away.

Very quiet neighborhood, clean cabin and comfy beds! Plenty of room for everyone. Loved the loft area and view of the lake. Would suggest a full length mirror with having girls there:) Carina was great to work with!

Great Getaway

Bear's Den was just as advertised and exactly what we were hoping for! The location was great and the inside was clean and well-kept. In addition, Carina (the host) was responsive and sent out helpful instructions. I would definitely stay here again!

Awesome house near everything

A perfect getaway

Our stay at Bear's Den was simply fantastic. I picked it as a respite during a long road trip. After spending the last 5 nights in loud, obnoxious hotels, my family and I spent 3 nights here. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing. Restaurants, shops and beach access are all within a short drive (5 to 10 minutes). The cabin itself is immaculate. I loved the decor and furnishings. Everything appeared new and in good repair, which can be hard to find in short term rentals. There was ample sleeping and living space for my family of 4, and the beds were so comfortable. There is a small view of the lake from the front windows, seen best from the loft, that is gorgeous. It is obvious that the owners care for their guests. Some household and pantry staples were available for use, and everything was clearly labeled and organized. We were impressed to find many electrical outlets scattered throughout the cabin, too. The grill was clean, and we ate all dinners out on the patio, enjoying our time outside. Carine was very helpful and responsive. We can't wait to visit again!

Charming Cabin!

Our family (2 teens & dog) had a great stay at this cabin. Carina was very responsive from initial request, during the stay & after. We brought some food from home & went shopping at nearby Safeway. We grilled a couple of nights, made beef stew in crock pot & enjoyed local eats. Our pup made friends in the neighborhood & got a recommendation for a dog friendly beach. There was plenty of storage for our bikes & rack in lower level with laundry. Wonderful family vacay stay!

Stellar stay at the Bear's Den!

This is a true gem with spectacular views, natural light, privacy, and great amenities! It's quiet, spacious, has comfy beds and is close to great walking trails! Just a few blocks to the lake! Can't wait to go back.
