This beautiful vacation home is located on the Kegnæs peninsula, which is connected to the southern tip of Als by the naturally created dam 'Drejet'. The beautiful castle park and the ornate castle church can also be visited. In Sønderborg, several exhibitions at Sønderborg Castle tell of the turbulent history of southern Jutland under alternating Danish and German sovereignty. In the harbor of Sønderborg the many sailing ships and restaurants contribute to a cozy atmosphere and in Sønderborg you can also shop well. Those who want to delve into the history of southern Jutland will find good support in the 'Historiecenter Dybbøl Banke', an experience and storytelling house, which illuminates the events of 1864, which were so decisive for Denmark, with effective means.
