Whether you want to explore the Olympic National Forest or just get away from the hustle and bustle of life, The Hideaway is the place for you. Situated just a short walk away from the Olympic Discovery Trail and beach (bring your bikes and kayak!), you’ll find our home a relaxing retreat. Star gaze from the hot tub after a bar-be-que dinner on the expansive deck and roast marshmallows around the fire pit as you tell scary ghost stories.
Though it feels secluded, The Hideaway is just a short drive from downtown Port Angeles.

We loved our stay at this secluded gem. Beautiful view of the strait, lovely home and a great location to explore the Olympic Peninsula. All host communications and instructions were clear and helpful. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable - what more can you ask for? It's also quiet and private. Would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful place to stay! Clean, well stocked and an ideal location. We loved it here. The view is amazing, there is direct access to the Discovery Trail and wildlife abounds. As an added bonus, the owners are very responsive and helpful. You can't go wrong with this property!

Very private location and the views from the deck were spectacular. All the extras we needed were provided for our family of 6. Loved the hot tub in the evenings.

Great property with amazing views. This was a wonderful base for our Olympic experience. Even though you are in town it was very quiet and felt secluded. Access to the running trail was a nice bonus. Relaxing in the hot tub watching the ships go by was great.

Great stay at Port Angeles

We LOVED this house. It is directly on the water. We walked down to the beach every day and saw so many ocean creatures. The hot tub with a view was a daily treat as well. We’ve stayed at many VRBO’s and this was one of our favorites.

A wonderful, private getaway!!

Beautiful location in an extremely quiet spot. Easy access to walking and running on the trail and so much fun marine traffic to observe. Lots of wildlife to enjoy too! A great location to base out of to explore the Olympic peninsula. Home is clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. Would definitely choose to stay here again if we were visiting the area. Thank you for the great week!!!

Not impressed

I booked this property for Thanksgiving with my three children, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We didn’t receive any check-in information and had to contact Vrbo to reach the unresponsive owners. When we arrived, the front door was wide open, and the house was freezing, which was especially tough as I was feeling unwell. After some troubleshooting, we discovered a power outage had shut off the HVAC system. While the owners were quick to address the issue, the house took all night to warm up, leaving us uncomfortably cold. My daughter also found hair in her bed, which was unsettling. We paid a premium for amenities like a hot tub, but it was green, unclean, and left us with a rash, making it unusable. For the price we paid, we expected a premium experience, but this fell far short. Next time, I’ll likely choose a high-end hotel for a better experience at a lower cost.

Refreshing, inside and out.

Absolutely great, from booking to check out. Beautiful property that feels like you are the only ones on the sea front. Very fresh renovation with a light and airy feel. The windows facing the water run the width of the property and you definitely feel how oceanfront you are. Super clean, which is one of our top priorities. Some properties are surface clean, but this property is deep clean. Absolutely everything you need is there, plus the extra touch of special with the fresh flowers. Great place for 2 couples with daily hikes in Olympic National Park. Saw sea otters in front of the house every day. Just book it - you won’t regret it.

Wonderful property

Well-appointed, updated home in a private setting overlooking the water. Lots of extra touches inside, including multiple coffee makers with coffee and condiments, tons of cooking supplies and spices, doggie supplies, and a great hot tub on the rear deck where we often saw the neighborhood’s deer family. Hosts were very communicative throughout. Would definitely stay here again.

Secluded with a view

We enjoyed our stay! The back view, especially at sunset, was beautiful. We were visited each day by a deer family as they made their way from one side of the woods to the other. The house was very clean & well stocked. It was close to the Olympic National park activities we had planned. The restaurants nearby exceeded our expectations as well.

Enjoyed our Stay!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at The Hideaway. We were in the area to visit Olympic National Park, and the The Hideaway was a comfortable and convenient home base for our stay. The house was in great shape. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and we cooked several meals during our stay. The view from the back deck was amazing. I would recommend The Hideaway to anyone visiting Port Angeles.

Stunning

The pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful this place is. The view is just incredible. Not only is it clean, and in a great location they have nailed being hosts. Anything you could need is there. It was so nice to feel comfortable in a home that was not my own! I will say the only downfall is that the decorations are so incredible that it made me want to go shopping when I get home! It’s so quaint, quiet and simply gorgeous!

A great getaway

We love vising Port Angeles for a number of reasons but one of our favorites has got to be biking the Olympic Discovery Trail with the family. When we saw this place had direct access to the trail we had to check it out and we were not disappointed. The home also boasts a great view of the strait, feels really private (although there are cameras throughout the property including one facing the hot tub), and is one of the cleanest homes and well stocked kitchens we've seen. We would love to stay here again when we inevitably visit PA again.

Friends Olympic trip

We had a wonderful stay! Perfect location on the water. Loved the view from house, the deck, and the hot-tub! Will absolutely stay again! One note… try to get there in the daylight for your first time. The road to the house is narrow and sketchy… makes sense as you’re on the water front!

Beautiful Property! Fabulous Experience!

We absolutely loved the Hideaway! It was the perfect hub for our PNW adventures into Olympic National Park. We hiked Hurricane Ridge, the Hole in the Wall at Rialto Beach, the Hall of Mosses in the Hoh Rainforest, Sol Dic Falls, and explored Lake Crescent. Each evening we relaxed from our adventurous days in the hot tub overlooking the sound. The Hideaway is clean, beautifully decorated, and had absolutely everything we needed. Five stars!! I’d definitely stay there again!
