New construction in 2014 and remodeled in 2022, Hawksnest is in a desirable, family friendly neighborhood. Our home is 4200 square feet with three floors of living space, including 6 bedrooms that sleeps 17 comfortably, an outdoor basketball hoop, and a spacious screened in porch overlooking an entertainers patio with a built in gas fire pit, a propane grill, flat top griddle cooker, and.a 7 person Bullfrog spa / Hot tub. Fully equipped with a chef’s kitchen featuring a 6 burner stove, large oven and secondary convection oven and microwave. Just miles from Virginia Tech, downtown Blacksburg, Radford University, downtown Radford, Christiansburg Aquatic Center, the new Huckleberry park, and all your shopping and dining needs. Walk to Target and Walmart right behind our home. Location, Location!

The Huckleberry trail runs right behind the house if you're up for a run or walk, and we’re a 5 minute walk to The Farmhouse restaurant, the Huckleberry park, and Christiansburg Recreation Center, or a fun and scenic bike ride to Virginia Tech and downtown Blacksburg. Our home has the perfect accommodations for your family and friends to celebrate a sporting event, graduation, wedding, and more.

Enjoy the cozy wrap-around front porch. Our spacious home has a basement living/media room with seating for 8, a pool table, bathroom, king bedroom, and full over full bunk. The main floor has an open kitchen-living room concept, as well as a dining room with seating for 8 and an additional living room table with seating for 6. On chilly nights, you can enjoy the fireplace! Also on the main level is a bedroom with a bunk bed for our guests.

Upstairs you will find a large master suite with a king size bed, office, sitting area, and large bathroom. Additionally, upstairs there is a guest bathroom with shower/tub and three guest bedrooms: 2 with queen size beds and 1 with a full over twin bunk.

Our home is warm and inviting with lots of space! Feel free to bring air mattresses if needed, but in addition to the comfortable bedrooms, there are three couches in living spaces with flat screen TV's.

****Please note we are in a family friendly neighborhood. No house parties. We ask that any travelers considering our home please know that you will need to be respectful of our neighbors and the neighborhood. No more than 5 cars are allowed in the driveway. Additional cars may be parked and left overnight up the street at the Christiansburg Recreation Center.

The house was immaculate

We traveled to the area for a football weekend w/friends & family. The check-in process was easy and the house was beautiful. It was clean, well stocked and plenty big enough. We would absolutely stay here again. I recommend anyone considering a quick stay in Christiansburg/Blacksburg consider staying here.

Virginia Tech Graduation

Jason and Celina were wonderful hosts! We had family traveling in from all over to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Virginia Tech. The home was beautiful, clean, and spacious for our family! We loved gathering in the kitchen, family room, and dining room, which were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bedrooms were great, and bathrooms updated. It was a short drive to the VT campus, and we also enjoyed a dinner out in Christiansburg. Highly recommend this gorgeous home!

Va Tech Graduation

The house was perfect for the celebration of our daughter’s VA Tech graduation. The hosts communicated well and were responsive to our questions. The house is very spacious, clean, and decorated professionally—we felt like we were staying at a resort hotel. The large screened porch was a favorite gathering place and the yards were great for kids to run around and have fun. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a sweet treat and felt welcomed to the hosts home. The location was excellent—groceries, food, Target/Walmart close by and the trip to campus was quick and easy. We hope our next child chooses VA Tech so we have many more opportunities to enjoy this VRBO!

This house and these owners made our son's VT graduation perfect!!

I cant say enough wonderful things about this house and these owners! Another rental we had reserved for graduation turned out to be unacceptable. We were panicked. These guys scrambled to make their place available to us and went out of their way to make it a special weekend. Fabulous, wonderful, thoughtful, perfection in every way!!!

Amazing home and host family

There is one word that sums up our experience with this resistance “Perfect”. The hosts are absolutely amazing- so incredibly friendly and accommodating. The home is beautifully decorated and inviting. The layout is awesome with plenty of bedrooms, cozy sitting areas and a lovely kitchen. We spent much of our time sitting on the back deck enjoying the comfortable surroundings - it’s a beautiful neighborhood. We would stay here again and again. Don’t think twice, book it!

Wonderful weekend with friends

We rented this property with 4 other couples/friends from college for a kids free football weekend. Everyone was impressed with how beautiful the house is! Host was very communicative and helpful. Location is great- convenient access to stores/restaurants in Christiansburg, and a quick 10 minute drive to VT campus. Also right on the Huckleberry- my husband and I went for a run on the trail in the morning. Would definitely rent again.

Friends and family reunion

We had a wonderful time staying at Hawksnest. The house is bright, beautiful, and cozy. The location was perfect. Just a quick walk through the backyard to Target for supplies. The host welcomed us with a basket of great snacks. We had 3 families staying the weekend and each family had 2 bedrooms. There was plenty of space in the living areas for 7 kids to play together on Saturday afternoon. I can't imagine a better place for us to stay. Thanks Celina and Jason for being great hosts and for your military service!

Great owner and location

We rented the house for the Richmond football game as a place for us and our friends to stay. House was very clean with plenty of space. Fire pit outside was great and there was lots of parking out back.

Great Football Home

Missy and Kevin have a lovely home and are great hosts. Their home is spacious and well appointed. There were four couples and we had plenty of room to relax, make meals together and of course watch football! The pool table was an added bonus. Their home is in a very convenient area for shopping and restaurants and a short drive to VA Tech. Thank you for a great weekend!

Great home for our mini Hokie Reunion

This beautiful home was perfect for enjoying a weekend with our Hokie friends and attending a VT football game. Owners communicated promptly and were welcoming and gracious. Their home was perfect for relaxing before and after the game. Plenty of space and nice, quiet neighborhood!

Large Home

The house was great for our large crowd, but had a few issues. Door to deck wouldn’t close properly and no dish towels to name a couple. Proudfoot’s were very accommodating.

Great house, convenient location. Huckleberry trail right out back. Friendly owners! Plenty of room for everyone. Only downside was water pressure in upstairs bathroom showers. I would highly recommend!!!

Beautiful house, very accommodating!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kevin's home. From the very beginning they were very accommodating and responsive to our questions. The house was incredibly clean and ready for our stay when we arrived. Would definitely stay there again!

Property owner was extremely helpful

My friends and I were planning to meet up with our families for the VT/ECU game. Unfortunately that week was when hurricane Florence hit the east coast and the game (as well as our flight) was cancelled. Kevin was extremely flexible in trying to accommodate alternate dates, and when that wasn't possible providing a refund. While we didn't stay at the home; Kevin was really helpful in trying to make the situation work for us.

Comfortable, clean and close!

This is exactly as advertised, the "perfect family home" to stay in during our son's wedding weekend. The owners were very communicative and went above a beyond what we needed to help us with our stay, including helping us select a very good restaurant for our rehearsal dinner. The house was clean, comfortable and very close to all the extras we needed to make our stay run smoothly. It is situated very close to the Huckleberry Trail (for the walkers/runners in our family), to Target, Michaels, Home depot (for those last minute wedding needs), and walking distance to an amazing restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner (The Farmhouse Restaurant). We had 15 people in the house ranging in age from 1 to 83. The house was big enough to sleep all comfortably. The beds were extra comfortable, and there was lots of room to stretch out. We made good use of the deck out the back door, and the recreation room. The owners were very nice. They greeted us on our arrival with a lovely welcome basket and showed us around the house before departing. Although we never had an occasion to call them during our stay, they were close by if we needed them. During our stay, we made good use of the kitchen - we had to bake 150 cupcakes and a wedding cake. The large kitchen made it easy for us all to move around easily. All-in-all it was the perfect house for us, and the owners are very nice and helpful.
