Come stay in our cozy cottage on the ocean. Enjoy a barbecue grill on the private water view deck with outdoor dining space, if the weather is playing friendly. Sit around the fire pit over looking the ocean. Cozy stay for 2, but can sleep 4 comfortably between the king sized bed in the bedroom and queen sized pull out sofa bed in the living room.

This is a WONDERFUL place to stay! The views are amazing too. The owners are very nice and really want your time to be wonderful. This is by far the best place we've stayed in Ketchikan (we visit every two years). We're already looking forward to our next stay.

Beautiful location!

I still can't get over the views from this place! We saw eagles, sea lions, lots of jumping salmon, starfish, and crabs ...right in our "backyard". It was such a great home base for us for our trip. Close enough to town to be convenient, far enough to feel very private and pristine and away from the crowds. Everything we needed was there, and

Beautiful and peaceful getaway

This place was absolutely perfect. Cute little cottage with one of the coolest ocean views I've ever seen. Great deck for grilling and watching the sun rise. Just down the highway from town but feels remote. Couldn't recommend it enough

Cozy cottage!

We used this space as a home base for our elopement! Aren and Shalie were flexible with our unique requests and eager to offer to make our experience special. The space is well kept and intentional, and the view over the water cannot be beat. The cottage has everything one needs to have a cozy, intimate, and lovely stay.

Absolutely wonderful!

We really enjoyed the little cottage and would stay there again. I highly recommend it. Wish there had been better weather to enjoy all of the immensities. The cottage is so cozy and so private. Peaceful!!

Overall- a wonderful place! A few suggestions: As the best (only) view is from the kitchen, so it would be great if there were a couple of tall stools to sit in when looking out Also, we had to go buy a warm throw for the sofa. Adding that would be wonderful as well! Thanks for a great stay!!

Awesome place to stay

My wife and I were in town visiting our son and daughter-in-law. Since they rent a small one bedroom place, we need a place. This little house was perfect for us. While we didn't cook meals, everything we might have needed was in place. The kingsize bed was very nice and comfortable. The view from the back deck is tremendous. We'll will most defiantly use it again.

Absolutley wonderful!

We felt right at home diring our stay at this cozy cottage by the sea! The place had everything we need, and some! The view.... THE VIEW! The fire pit on the beach, amazing! The host was kind and very prompt in responding whe the wifi started acting up. He came right over and didna quick reset and it was all fixed. We also really liked that there was a grill on the deck. Would highly recommend, and will most definitely be renting this VRBO again.

Quaint yet Spectacular

The location is the heart and value of this cottage. Literally on the rocks/shore of this SE AK town. The sound of nature 24/7 - eagles & swainson thrush calling, ocean shores. Watched summertime charters netting fish and pod of Orcas go by. Perfect kitchen set up with THEE best view. Besides the rocks to roam, lovely deck w/ view + firepit. Good carport access to front door, bathroom functional, adequate living space, and If you don't mind some querky old floors, everything else adds up to an authentic Alaskan experience.

Nice Cottage

Owners have done a nice job of dressing up an older cottage. Was a great landing spot to adventure out of. We didn't spend much time at the place (weather was excellent). Whales, sea lions, and salmon right below the deck. For less mobile people, the access to the water really would be challenging (steep steps and rocky surfaces), but for us and our children it was fine. Nice parks right down the road to accommodate easier access as desired. Not much privacy from neighbors (on either side), but if you're looking for a great place to hub out of, the place will fit your needs well!

Amazing view from the back deck of the water with whale sighting

Amazing view of the water with a whale sighting from the back deck. Great to be able to sit at a dining table on the deck and look out at the water. The place has a comfy, casual home feel that is thoughtfully decorated. Convenient full kitchen and washer and dryer. Owner Aren and wife Salie were extremely friendly. Aren responded immediately when I messaged him asking if a hair dryer was provided so I would know if I would need to pack my own. Aren also responded immediately when I told him the shower knob to the hot water came off and came over and tightened it back on for me.

Nice, quiet space

Nice cottage right on water with a beautiful view. Perfect place for the end of my 3week trip to AKā€¦.Quiet and peaceful. Note: It is out of town several miles so will likely need a car or a taxi *there is also a bus that runs 3-4 times a day into Ketchikan with stop about 0.5 mile walkā€¦but walk is along busy 2-lane highway with only narrow shoulder; this is what I did and donā€™t really recommend the bus option
