Enjoy the views from the new porch where you can dine or enjoy the hot tub. Sunsets are spectacular, as the farm faces west. During the summer: there are bikes to ride on the adjacent rail trail. During the winter enjoy brisk walks, and a cozy farmhouse with a wood stove. Want to go skiing? Bromley and Stratton are great for day trips. Or, just hang out at the farm and let Dancing Barefoot Farms melt all your stress away as you enjoy the peace and beauty of Vermont. THREE beautiful streams flow through the property, one with a waterfall. Hike the nearby Merck Forest or check out Manchester for some shopping With Central A/C, a great cooking kitchen and a new gazebo with fire pit to enjoy...there is something for everyone! The home was lovely, but the property was AMAZING! Marcus and Beth have done a fantastic job with the pond, the bridges, the gazebo, the fire pits. The hot tub was wonderful, although we only used it a few times. The sheep and Candy the Llama were fun to take care of! The fireplace made the house so cozy. We were close to Dorset and Manchester, so a few days of shopping are worth the visit!Thank you Marcus and Beth for letting us enjoy your little Dancing Barefoot Farm!!

Beautiful home in a picture perfect area! We had so much fun feeding the sheep and Candy, the llama. You could easily stay the entire time in the home. But there are plenty of quaint towns and shops nearby. Marcus and Beth are communicative and caring hosts. You will enjoy your stay!

We had a great 4 nights at the farm. It was very relaxing and beutiful views. We enjoyed taking care of the sheep The house was well outfitted with everything we needed. The five of us friends had a wonderful long weekend stay. All the amenities are plentiful. The landscaping is beautiful. We loved the sheep and llama. The surround towns had some great shops. The area is very picturesque. Communication from the owner is great. All and all a fantastic experience! We have already booked our next trip back to visit again.

A peaceful piece of heaven – we didn’t want to leave!Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Marcus was an absolutely amazing host. My Dad has some mobility issues, and he made every accommodation to help us make the house user friendly for Dad. We loved the beautiful deck, with all the comfortable places to sit and watch the sunset - and the hot tub - great addition! The sheep are charming, and for those who like to get involved (like me) its a really fun way to get close to the farm life. Absolutely loved every minute of our second stay at Dancing Barefoot farm - I'm sure we'll be back again!

Wonderful autumn escape.

Spring getaway

Perfect for our needs

Dancing Bear Farm house was the perfect place for our visit - perfectly located, warm, comfortable interior, everything was clean as a whistle, and the enhancements like use of a golf cart to get around the property were much appreciated! Perfect Retreat!

Our family stayed at the farm over MLK weekend and had a wonderful stay! The home is absolutely beautiful and very private. It had everything we needed and more. Our dog came with us and enjoyed exploring the property and taking walks on the nearby rail trail. We would highly recommend Marcus and his home - we hope to be back soon!

Mountain retreat

Beautiful property!

This home and farm was so beautiful! The setting was beyond expectations! We did not want to leave. The mornings on the large back porch overlooking the pond and farm were so relaxing. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place.

We are a retired couple who are also empty nesters, and we love trying new hobbies! We have Valais Blacknose sheep, beehives and a small vineyard for table grapes! We also love making the property more enjoyable for family and friends. The farm is a special getaway to explore and learn about things we never thought we'd get a chance to do! Come enjoy the Vermont experience!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

It's beautiful and remote enough to feel like a getaway, but still close enough to the resorts and bigger towns should you want to shop, dine, or see the sights. It is close to the Merck farmland center which has awesome trails and activities to engage in. The property is fed by 3 springs, so you can ALWAYS hear the sound of moving water. The rail trail borders the property so you can bike, jog, walk or ride your horse along a groomed path. At the end of a private road, the property is situated so you have total privacy.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We offer a great place to relax. ! As part of your stay, you get to play shepherd (totally optional) and see after our 6 sheep and one llama, "Candy". The sheep are called Valais Blacknose, and they are originally from the hills of Switzerland. They are known as "the cutest sheep in the world"! Or, just sit in the hot tub and enjoy the view. It's right on the porch.
Our property has three streams flowing through it, and a trout stocked pond that you can fish and/or swim in! You also are able to get around the property by golf cart, which makes exploring the 10 acres a treat!
