Camp Champion - OTSEGO LAKE - This charming 3-bedroom vacation home is newly renovated with contemporary kitchen and 2 baths. It has all of the conveniences for a comfortable and affordable lakeside family vacation in the Cooperstown area. The screened-in front porch is just right for enjoying the fresh country breeze off the lake. Guests enjoy the unmatched views of the ever beautiful Otsego Lake.

Camp Champion is located in a quiet waterfront community. Guests enjoy access to Otsego Lake, just quick walk across the lawn to Otsego Lake which is great for swimming, fishing, boating & relaxing. The waterfront is very child-friendly. Your host provides two kayaks and a paddled-board for your enjoyment.

Camp Champion is a "legacy camp" that has been passed down through the generations for over 80 years. The original owner was Clyde Champion Shults, the current owner's grandfather. This truly is a gem on the water!

NOTE: The owners/hosts' live across the street and the waterfront is shared with them and their family.

Long weekend getaway

Camp Champion is charming and cozy. Armin and Nancy were very attentive and accommodating. The house was well stocked with all that we could / would need for our stay. The water access was great and the lake and surroundings were beautiful. Great place to stay with lots of different activities from Cooperstown to horseback riding, water sports, golf and more. Would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Cute lake home close to Dreams Park

We loved our stay at Lake Champion. The lake is a short walk across the street to a shared dock. We were able to use the kayaks there, swim (clean sandy bottom) and fish with our own poles. The home was very clean and perfect for our stay while we watched our older sons play baseball. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Dreams Park and 10 minutes to the Hall of Fame. We would definitely stay again if we go back to Cooperstown!

Camp Champion for the win!

We had such a wonderful time at Camp Champion! Armin and Nancy were so welcoming and accommodating. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked and it was very nice to have a washer and dryer. We even took advantage of all the extras too - kayaking, canoeing and s'mores over the fire pit! The lake view was so pretty and coffee on the front porch is a must! The home was an easy drive to local restaurants and stores, as well as Cooperstown Dreams Park, making our commute back and forth from the park seamless. We highly recommend Camp Champion! We even think it brought us luck getting to the Final Four ;) Quick note: The second bathroom is downstairs, separate from the bedrooms upstairs. This was not a problem for us, but just a heads up!

Wonderful time-cozy historic cabin

Our hosts were wonderful and we were thankful for the opportunity to rent their home. Fun to see beautiful fall colors in the 2nd week of October and enjoy Coopsertown. Worked great for a family of 5. Had a great vacation!

Lovely home with amazing hosts.

Log weekend stay with family. The home is well appointed and has all your need. The dock and lakefront access is wonderful. Highly recommend this home for those looking to vacation or work on Cooperstown.

A great stay and accommodation

The location was great and the accommodation was very well done. Cottage is charming, well kept and well suited for a getaway from home with all the comforts one would require. Owner's live next door and are very helpful and extremely welcoming.

Autumn Retreat

This is a great property for enjoying a real lake experience. You wake-up with a fresh-brewed cup of coffee and watch the sun rise on the lake from the porch or the dock. Perfect location on the west side just past 5-Mile Point for quick access to Cooperstown, Glimmerglass State Park, and the theater ( when in season). Nancy and Armin have really done a great job making Camp Champion perfect for both couples and family getaways.
