Better than expected!!

We of course looked up reviews prior to bookingā€¦ however we were more than impressed with the condo as well as the resort grounds and staff. Everything went so smooth and no hiccups to speak of. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation stay at sterling sands and will absolutely be returning very soon!!!

Old furniture, old fixtures and not as clean as Iā€™d like

The furniture at this location was old and dusty. During my stay I received a text from guest services at 8am stating that a new couch was being delivered. 30 mins later someone came to take the old couch. I waited around for hours and at 1pm a new couch was delivered. I was asked to be there when it was delivered although Iā€™d prefer not to have someone in my vacation place while Iā€™m not there, I was given no notice that this was going to be happening during my stay. 30 mins is all the notification I received and then it tied up my whole day. It was good that the couch was replaced because it was really worn down. The furniture outside of the couch was really old and dusty. There was trash on top of things and the bed skirts were filthy. The bathrooms are old-old, like the main bath is peach colored old. The dinette set was fairly new. The location was perfect. View was amazing. We did have to pay 15 per person to get access to the beach and pool. Parking was free.

Family Getaway

Overall we loved our time in Destin. The listing shows there to be a second bedroom with two twin beds. Donā€™t be fooled like we were the bedroom is tiny and has one twin with a trundle bed underneath. Once you pool it out there is no where for suitcases or walking to the bathroom or opening doors. We made it work but it wasnā€™t what I thought. Location is awesome though!

The location is perfect, but the condo itself is not

Very small condo. The second bedroom is smaller than my laundry room. There is no closet in the second bedroom. You will feel suffocated. Very old furniture. The mattress was HORRIBLE. Probably 15-20 years or more old. I had back pain from the first night of sleep. I had to sleep on the couch for the rest of the stay. The trundle bed was a pain. The room is soo sooo small that when you pull out the trundle bed you cant even open the bedroom door. Does not that violate a safety standard? It is my fault that I rented this condo. Will pay much more careful attention next time I rent anything. I am never coming back to this condo for sure.

Great location and nice property. Downside is the beach is private and you must rent umbrellas for the beach service. Some owners include in the rental of the condo. Ours did not. The inside is dated and the mirrors needed to be cleaned. Our door code would not work so had to call the management company. They were able to change our code.

Perfect location and amenities for a week's vacation

Although this condo is a bit used, it has all the amenities to stay for a week with a family of four and is very comfortable. The pictures and listing are accurate. Oven, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, and plenty of pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses, and utensils. A/C works well. Plenty of well-lit parking and check-in online is super fast. Recommendation, this place only has four pillows total so bring your own if you require more than one. This building is perfectly located on the strip with many smaller shops and restaurants within walking distance, including the large grocery store (1 mile). Also, Merlin's Pizza, the well known and very good Destin pizza joint, is literally across the street. Since this building is located between several other private condominiums, the only people on the beach are from your building. This means that the pristine white sand beach is never packed. I do recommend you renting your umbrella/chairs the day you arrive as the front row goes fast (~$32 / day for an umbrella and two lounge chairs). Large pool with hot tub has lots of deck chairs, but it is first come, first serve. Although there may be a lot of people, it never is packed. Overall, I would easily book this building and condo again.

We were very pleased with the size of the unit as well as how stocked the kitchen was with dish ware and cooking utensils. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean. The pool and grounds were upkept very well!
