Ocean Bliss Cottage! Beach Club Villa with Canal Views - Short walk to Beach

Welcome to Ocean Bliss Escape, a beautifully decorated condo located on stunning Fripp Island, South Carolina. This gorgeous 1 bed/1 bath condo is located on the second floor of the Beach Club Villas community, is professionally decorated, and is loaded with all of the in-condo amenities that would allow for an absolutely blissful stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining room seats 4, and the bedroom is furnished with a king-sized mattress (it's extra firm and is less than 18 months old). Both the living room and bedroom are furnished with “smart” flat screen TVs and both can access all the streaming platforms. With beautiful marsh and canal views from both the living room AND bedroom, the condo is located in the heart of Fripp Island AND is just steps away from the beach! If you are looking for a private beach getaway with your loved one OR a blissful stay to recharge your batteries, this condo will give it to you in spades! Come see for yourself!

Please Note: This property does NOT contain amenity cards. Amenity cards are required to access Fripp's pools, golf courses, restaurants, tennis courts, and food court. However, you can still access the beach and shop at Spring Tide Market & Deli, the Marina Deli, and Mango's Gift Shop without the amenity cards. We highly recommend stopping at Publix, Food Lion, or Walmart on Sea Island Parkway to get groceries and food before heading to the island. Fripp Island is truly secluded and private so going "into town" for groceries will be at least a 20 minute drive. There are restaurants along Sea Island Parkway and we've listed our favorites in the Welcome to Ocean Bliss Escape packet found in the condo.

Reservations are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.

Renters must be over 25 years of age to reserve our property.

The property is on the MARKET FOR SALE, it may be shown to qualified buyers during the Guest(s) stay. Every effort will be made to schedule the showing at a convenient time. Guest(s) shall allow reasonable viewings of the home between 9 AM and 6 PM present or not.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay! It has everything you need for a perfect vacation. It was very clean, beautifully decorated and in the perfect location with the most amazing view of the marsh.

The only issue we had was with the bed. The mattress was obviously old and very bumpy. The response time of the property managers was excellent. We couldn't figure out how to work all the remotes and they sent someone over immediately.

Fripp island rental

Fripp island was a very unique place for us. We liked the privacy . The next time, if there’s a next time we would prefer a place on the ocean as we envision the views of the ocean would be better than the marsh.

Weekend Stay

This condo is in the perfect location and was just the right size for us. We enjoyed watching the deer and dolphins off the porch and it was a very short walk to the beach.

Perfect location

This property provided the perfect amount of amenities for 3 days. If you plan on staying longer, make sure to grab basic amenities before reaching the island. We were sad to realize this property does not come with an amenities card to access the pool, beach bar, restaurants and golf courses, but we managed to still have a good time. The view from the balcony overlooking the marsh was absolutely beautiful.

Well appointed condo

Well appointed and beautifully decorated condo with comfortable bed and gorgeous view over the marsh. Was a little difficult to find and stairs are narrow and steep.

Nice Cottage

If you like golf, the beach, or wildlife this cottage is for you. It is a very beautiful island and the deer or so domesticated they will eat out of your hand!!! If you have an expectation of using the pool or eating at any of the restaurants, you will have some trouble. Most if not all the places on the island require an amenity card and this cottage does not come with one. We were lucky enough to have access to everything since we were there for a golf tournament. Great place and beautiful island.

The parking was difficult and had to park far away to unload and pack up. The condo was not clean. There was dust in all of the corners and vents. Was told not to put air below 72 and to use fans to cool off. There is no overhead fan in the bedroom which was the hottest room in the house. They did have a table fan to use, however, it was covered in dust. The lights would flicker when you used them so we tried not to use the lights during our stay. Also could hear the family above us all hours of the day. Could not find a cutting board to prepare food. The positive of the stay was the view from the back porch which was incredible.

Not as Described

Amenities in the VRBO description included “pool” and “tennis” when we booked this condo. We were very disappointed to learn that we were PROHIBITED from using them as well as the restaurant, fitness center and pickleball courts. An activities card was not able to be purchased with this condo. (The listing has since been changed). Restaurants are available off of the island, a 25 min drive. We were not able to get any sort of refund.

I absolutely loved my week at Fripp Island. The only thing missing was a sheet pan and a way to lock the door from the inside. The place was cozy and just what I needed. Near everything I needed.

Pictures much better than in person

Pictures don't reflect the actual condition of the property. The pros: beautiful view of the marsh, quick walk to the beach and the appliances worked. The cons: old, outdated exterior structure (which is never shown in any pictures) with terrible parking. The entrance was not clean, steps dirty/walls with some sort of drips/splatter. The indoor/outdoor carpet in hallways were dirty and stained. The lockbox combo dial was hard to read in low light. The condo had an old smell to it when we walked in. The appliances all out dated (that was mentioned in other reviews) but they worked. The condo was not clean. Dirty floors, drips/splatter on the a couple of walls. The fit/finish of the "upgrades" were terrible. The bed was ok but certainly not "extra firm". The carpet in bedroom looked dirty. When I went to use the vacuum that was in the utility/laundry room the roller did not work and was tangled with hair and the canister was filled with dirt.......do I need to say more. Tells you all you need to know! The bathtub/shower squeaked and fixture is loose. The balcony was also very dirty and what was thought to be a quiet sanctuary was interrupted by AC units kicking on an off. Note-this is dog friendly building so be prepared for barking and lots of dogs. We were lucky to have a "howler" in the room above us. Floors are thin and we could hear the people walking around. This was also mentioned in previous reviews. Nice view of the marsh but that would be it. Wont be back.

Lovely interior and view

The condo was lovely inside, and the view was beautiful. We watched bald eagles flying! Check in had a small hiccup but was quickly addressed. Kitchen was not stocked (mentioned in listing so no surprise!) but coffee pods would have been nice. All in all a fun stay on Fripp!

Anniversary getaway

This condo was perfect for two people. It was very clean and well appointed. The view is great and it’s just a short walk to beach access. We love to cook and so we bought fresh seafood and enjoyed using the kitchen to prepare dinner. The bed is very comfortable. I would recommend staying here!

3-Day Get-away

The interior of the property is beautiful and well-decorated. Furniture is attractive and comfortable, and the view from the porch/balcony is absolutely gorgeous and serene! Only negatives were woefully inadequate sound insulation (we heard every footstep from the unit above and even their TV audio), and a refrigerator-freezer that reeked of spoiled fish. Immediately after our reporting it, the property management company did a prompt and thorough deep-cleaning of the refrigerator-freezer that improved the situation a great deal, but the foul odor was already returning before we left. While the major appliances all operated properly, they are quite dated and basic. But for the noise, we would love to return!
