Our home is designed with families in mind, offering a portable crib, baby gate, toys, and a high chair. The tastefully decorated interior features an open floor plan, modern appliances, keyless entry, laundry facilities, smart TVs, and a brand-new furnace and A/C for year-round comfort.

The lower level includes a full bathroom, sleeping area, and a bonus room equipped with an air hockey table and board games. Upstairs, you'll find the main living areas and additional bedrooms.

Step outside to the backyard oasis, complete with a deck, a brand-new Char-Broil gas grill, a playset, a fire pit, and a recently-upgraded hot tub. Please note that the yard's hill can be steep and slippery when wet, so exercise caution.

Important Notes
- Safety Features: An outdoor security camera is installed near the front door, and a noise monitoring device (measures dB levels only) is located near the kitchen.
- TV Services: While we do not have standard cable, our smart TVs are equipped with Hulu, Netflix, and more for your streaming pleasure.
- Access Restrictions: Certain supply closets and the garage are off-limits to guests.
- Pest Control: We proactively treat the property to prevent pests, but being near a lake in a natural setting, occasional sightings of bugs or field mice are possible, especially on the lower level.

Please drive slowly on all nearby streets as deer and children are frequently present. Although some amenities in Apple Valley are for residents only, the public golf course and numerous nearby attractions offer plenty to keep you entertained.

Great area!

The area is beautiful with many places to explore. We enjoyed all the amenities of our rental, and visited some local attractions. Very enjoyable getaway and an area we will definitely visit again!

Just what we needed

This rental home was just what we needed! It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we were looking for. The location was perfect for our needs, and it was spacious enough for our family of six. Plus, it was a convenient distance from the university and plenty of eating options. Communication with the host was also great! We would definitely recommend it to others!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The place is warm and lovely and great for family with little angels. The only down side was the internet is a little bit slow. Overall, I would for sure enjoy more stays here in the future.

Stay at daffodil

We checked in and was very satisfied the cleanliness of the house. We had some deer in back yard on the one morning and just sat and watched them. We drove to Mohican adventures which was about 25-30 min away. House is located in a very nice community. No issues with anything and will be booking in the future.

Perfect house in lovely area

Loved it, loved it, loved it. The floor plan is great-master bedroom on one side, 2 other bedrooms on the other side of the house, with the common area between. The deck and the birds/trees in view are just awesome, and we were greeted every day by a doe we named Daffodil. It was just short of magical. Be sure to bring your toiletries; it's post-COVID and there aren't shampoo, etc. in the bathrooms. There's also a bit of a shortage on cookware and dishes, etc. IMO. However, there is detergent and dryer sheets in the washroom. The breeze was so good we kept the windows open and kept the A/C off for most of our trip.

It was absolutely beautifulā€¦snowflakes coming down and a cozy hot tub, this place did not disappoint. We were able to take our grandchildren to the indoor pool just a few blocks away. It was so sweet of the host to leave decorated cookies for us!

Friendsgiving weekend

Loved the house with 3 bedrroms/bathrooms that had plenty of privacy. Was a little disappointed that the hot tub wouldn't heat up to use. The wifi was great once the tv was conndcted to it. Couldn't use the bathroom in the basement as there was no hot water to shower in. The kitchen had loads of extra dishes, coffee, pots/pans, crockpot, etc

Good Stay

We had a great stay. Check in and out was easy, and the place was clean upon arrival. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 1 child. The basement did smell musty, and the basement shower did not get warm. However, our stay was overall good.

We had a very good visit over the past weekend. The property met our expectations and made a difficult more manageable. There was plenty of room and we had all the necessary items at the property. When we have other visits to the Mt. Vernon area, we will surely consider staying again.

Great Location

This house was perfect! We were in town for a graduation and needed space for our family and friends. The house was close to the Kenyon campus and big enough, with 3 full bathrooms that was perfect for us Very clean and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommend for anyone coming to the area!!

Exactly what we needed

Kellie was a great host with a beautiful updated property. My family was staying in town for a wedding over the course of a few days. The house was perfectly accommodating for 5 people; 2 bedrooms with large beds and a third bedroom with bunk beds were perfect for the fam. Bathrooms were nice as well - although missing shower toiletries as folks have pointed out. The House has been updated (probably very recent). I was pleasantly surprised when we first arrived. It looks beautiful and felt cozy. Main living area was nice with no complaints or concerns. Basement did feel a little damp and musty (although it too was updated), but we didnā€™t spend much time down there. We had a special accommodation request in needing an evening checkout. In communicating, Kellie was timely in her responses and offered a fair price for the additional time. I appreciated the quick turnaround with our communications. There was even a little ā€œwelcomeā€ basket of treats sitting on the table when we arrived. A nice touch. Would stay again!

1. One towel for the master bedroom (thank gif I am paranoid and brought my own towel. 2. No charging outlets for phones (my teenagers were scrambling). I thought everyone provided for this nowadays. 3. The dehumidifier fan in the bedroom sounds like an airplane taking off. Why not fix this?
