With proximity to Joshua Tree National Park (30 mins), Palm Springs (15 mins), Cabazon Outlet (20 mins), Indiana Wells Tennis Garden (35 mins), Coachella Valley Preserve (25 mins) & Coachella music festival (35 mins), this home is centrally located and offers most of the amenities to make your travel safe & easy.

**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

It's official, we have a brand new pool in our backyard! Hot Tub spa heating is included in the price of your stay. Pool/spa heating is NOT included but can be heated with an additional charge per night upon request (Please see POOL & SPA section under The space for more details). Thank you.

THE SPACE:

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this home is a perfect place to enjoy the mountain view in the daytime as well as stargaze in the nighttime.

The house features a brand new pool with spa (heating included!) located in the backyard, overlooking the mountain view. This is a beautiful high ceiling home, spacious, has great natural light, granite countertops, appliances, washer and dryer.

Our TVs are equipped with Netflix! So just sit back and relax :)

POOL & SPA:

Hot Tub spa heating at the patio is included in the price of your stay and will reach up to 100F.

Pool/spa heating is NOT included in the price of your stay. However, the pool/spa can be heated for an additional fee. Due to the fluctuation of gas prices, our pool heating fee will vary from $100 to $150 per night. NOTE: If interested in heating the pool, the fee we ask for depends on the month of your reservation, NOT when you book it. Please inquire the host.

Pool heating can take up to 24 hours, so please notify host AT LEAST 3 DAYS before your arrival if you want the pool heated. The pool can be heated up to 87F.

The options include: heating the pool from the beginning to the end of your stay (entire stay) or from the middle to the end of your stay (no skipping days). The pool cannot be heated in the beginning of your stay to the middle. Once your pool is heated, it remains heated until the end of your stay and you are responsible for paying per night.

***If you want the pool heated, please follow the instructions below:
1) Please send a request/notice to the Host at least 3 days prior to first day of heating!
2) Host will send message about collecting total heating days payment through other online payment platforms in USD currency.
3) Payment must be received at least 1 day prior to heating because it may take up to 24 hours to heat the pool, depending on the weather.
4) Once payment is received, Host will coordinate the heating of the pool.
5) Enjoy!

GUEST ACCESS:

The entire home will be accessible except for the garage, pantry room near the kitchen, closet near the laundry, and shed.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
- Renter must be 25+
- Only number of guest listed will be allowed during your stay (Max 8)
- Entrance code will be sent in the morning of arrival day
- Check in anytime from 4PM-10PM (If you will be arriving later than 10pm, please contact the host to ensure that your check in process go smoothly!)
- Check out 11AM or before
- Parking: 2 cars in the driveway and 2 at the curbside (Max 4)
- Noise monitoring device are installed near the living area and backyard to comply with the good neighborhood ordinance

Great place for a winer get away

Loved being in DHS-away from the hustle and bustle of Palm Springs, altho when we wanted to visit, it was only 25 min. away. The house was comfortable, well furnished and supplied and had plenty of space for our group of 5 active, retired women, from MN, who were seeking warm weather, sunshine and fabulous hiking areas. Monika and Tedy were attentive and delightful owners.

We stayed there for Stagecoach, which was about 35 minutes away. The home is beautiful, well stocked, nicely decorated. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely dessert view. The owners were very responsive prior to our arrival as well as when we were there. I would definitely stay again.

Five-star house

Enjoyed our stay. Spacious house well-furnished, well-maintained, excellent condition inside and out, high ceilings, good beds, super well-equipped kitchen, excellent hot tub and shaded patio with partial but unobstructed view of hills. Desert Get Away

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Desert Hideaway! The house was beautiful and well stocked with necessities. It was just a short drive to downtown Palm Springs as well as Joshua National Park. The scenery was gorgeous, even with the snowstorm that surrounded the area during our stay. Monika was easy to communicate and she responded almost immediately to any questions that we had. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Perfect Place

We arrived early morning on our first day. After doing some sightseeing around the Palm Springs area I let them know we had arrived and we would plan to check in at the 4PM check in time. The owners were very responsive and let us check in early since the property was ready. Everyone was thrilled. The house was perfect and very comfortable. And it felt like home. It was a great location a close to a lot of things to do. We would recommend and would love to stay again if we are in the area.

Great place to stay

Great house and has all you need for a vacation. We stayed for a girls trip to visit Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Easy drive to both places. We decided to not pay to have the pool heated and the pool was very cool. We were able to only use it on a 90 degree day. If the pool is important to you, youā€™d probably want to heat it. Hot tub was wonderful. Backyard was amazing and relaxing. Monika responded right away with any questions and was a wonderful host. The neighborhood was quiet. The town is a little run down and didnā€™t seem to be the safest. The house made up for that!

Close to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree

My sisters and I stayed at this house for a getaway trip that included hiking, galleries and shopping. The house is very comfortable and the owner has thought of a lot of small niceties to make it enjoyable (e.g. lotion and body wash along with the shampoo and conditioner). The hot tub was lovely after a long day of hiking, and the stars and view were amazing. Palm Springs was only 25 minutes away, and Joshua Tree was an easy drive away. We had no issues at all with communication with the owner, the check-in and out process, or with anything during our stay. The only recommendation we have for the owner is to make more blankets available; we could only find one and those mountain nights got chilly! Overall, an excellent experience for the price.

Family Time

Brothers and their families wanted a comfortable place to stay while attending one of their brother's memorial service. This house provided enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us to stay together. There was a well-equipped kitchen for family meals, a dining room table and chairs that could seat all of us and a living area that worked well for conversation. My husband and I enjoyed the privacy of watching the sun rise from the hot tub. This really was the cleanest VRBO we have ever rented. The house itself was lovely - nicely decorated, great furniture. The master suite was roomy and luxurious. The host provided items above and beyond any other VRBO we have rented: plenty of dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, antiseptic wipes, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend the Desert Hideaway and would choose it again for our next stay in Palm Springs.

Relaxing vacation

The property/home is beautiful! Although a bit "out of the way" it is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Desert Hot Springs and surrounding areas. It is set up really well for a family vacation with master bedroom on one side of the house, three bedrooms on the other side, all main living in the middle, and three bathrooms. There is also a nice backyard with a hot tub! Thank you for a great stay!

Comfortable home close to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree

We enjoyed the private patio and hot tub. The beds comfortable, master bath soaking tub a treat and kitchen easy to negotiate due to labels on drawers and doors. Easy entry. Neighborhood partially developed in outskirts of DHS. 25 minutes to Palm Springs. 35 to Joshua Tree park entrance. We had a wonderful visit in large part due to Monikaā€™s thoughtfulness.
