Private 2nd floor unit, of an owner-occupied residence on 19 acres with 680' of accessible Lake Superior shoreline. The home is designed like an upper and lower duplex for privacy.
Bring your own kayaks to get out on the water. Watch ships sail by, enjoy stunning sunrise and moonrise views, plus wildlife viewing. Rooftop deck lounge area with gas firepit and outdoor cooking/dining. Property is located near 3 state parks and the Superior Hiking Trail for ample access to outdoor adventures.
The king bed suite has stunning views of Lake Superior. The queen bed suite has wooded views with glimpses of the Lake. There is a full kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals.

The location is stunning! It is so very peaceful with the amazing, up close Lake Superior view with sound of waves in the background. Everything in the unit was well kept up and the kitchen had all the small appliances you’d want as well as a great gas stove. And for those wanting solitude, you cannot hear the owners below; they are there if needed, but do not interact unless you’d like. Highly recommend! I plan to return!

This was absolutely one of the best VRBO’s I have ever stayed at. It was bright and spacious and very clean! We loved everything from the fire pit on the rooftop, to walking on the beach and finding interesting driftwood. We loved watching the sunrise and the sunset. And even the moon and stars from the rooftop. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our hosts were amazing. We definitely want to come back again in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO property — it was exactly as advertised, and even better in person. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully appointed everything was. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the furniture throughout the home made it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.One of our favorite spots was the deck — spacious, peaceful, and perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. We spent hours just sitting outside, watching hummingbirds flit from flower to flower while taking in the stunning views of Lake Superior. It was truly a calming and memorable experience.The kitchen was another highlight. It had top-notch appliances and everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. Overall, this property delivered exactly what we hoped for: comfort, tranquility, and a chance to unwind. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped getaway.

Our stay was very nice. The location can’t be beat. Phenomenal views and accommodations. Although the beds are on the hard side and we did not sleep very well for the days that we stayed. We’re not used to sleeping on a bed that hard. I have a pillow top bed. I would also recommend to the owners of the property to go buy a no smoking sticker or a plaque to put on the deck upstairs. It is listed in the binder for house rules but we completely missed it and felt terrible afterwards.

Everything was fabulous—the location, the scenic views, the proximity to the lake, the well-appointed kitchen, the private deck with a fire table, the comfortable beds and pillows, and the wonderful hosts! We will be back and are already starting to plan the timeline for our stay next summer!

We had a nice basket of welcome treats, every kitchen supply you would need provided, so clean and a great place to relax on the lake with a big deck and great hosts.

My wife and 10 month old son had a wonderful and restful time here. For anyone bringing children, the space had a few decorations that were at child level but we recognized that beforehand and planned accordingly. Brenda and Tom were great and super helpful at the right times. We had one small issue with a tricky door and they helped us out right away. We just had a really great time here and Tom and Brenda were great hosts. We wanted to hike and visit the various state parks nearby on the North Shore but the stay was so restful we also wanted to just stay and listen to the lake and enjoy the space.

I booked this for my mother in law and a few of her sisters. They loved it! They want to come back. Great location and great facility. Some stairs to climb, but that was known at booking. Thanks hosts for making them comfortable.

Perfect Lakeside Getaway with Stunning Views

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The location is unbeatable - right on the water with breathtaking views of Lake Superior. The cabin was spotless, and beautifully furnished. Brenda and Tom were wonderful hosts - friendly and helpful during our stay. The private balcony was the true highlight of the trip where we enjoyed gorgeous views of the water and lake critters. This is the perfect stay for a trip up North! We hope to come back again.

Another excellent experience

Our second stay at Brenda and Tom’s was as good as the first. Exactly as advertised with the addition of the sound of lapping waves and the view of soaring eagles. Note: This unit is on the top floor with three sets of stairs, so pack light.

Superior Sanctuary

Our North Shore vacation was enhanced by our stay at Northern Exposure. The property has stunning lake views, beautiful native flowers and great outdoor space to take it all in. The guests, Tom & Brenda, provide a welcoming environment. Love it here and hope to return.

Northshore Paradise !!

Fantastic location , property and hosts ! We were beyond pleased with our stay - truly well appointed property- these folks thought of everything to make it feel like home. Outstanding views and shoreline ! Location can’t be beat either - close to multiple great parks and far enough out of Two Harbors but not too far . Excellent in every aspect !

Nice place

This is a beautiful property in a very convenient location for the main state parks. The accommodations were nice (comfortable beds, clean, beautiful roof top deck, extensive shoreline access). I would caution anyone traveling with younger children, this doesn’t feel like the best place for them. We were constantly concerned the kids were being too loud because the owners are right below you. It just felt a bit awkward. Great, comfortable accommodations, just not ideal for families with children.

You have to stay here

Our family enjoyed our short but much needed vacation at this bright and shining star right on the north shore of Lake Superior! We have been vacationing all along this beautiful shoreline for the past 20 years with family. Thank you for making our stay relaxing and memorable! We will definitely love to return in the future.

We would definitely stay here again! Loved the location, scenery, accommodations and bonus games in the house. Brenda was quick to respond to any questions or requests; she even provided a bonus book on wolves and a list of beaches to visit on short notice. Great place to stay!

This was a wonderful private apartment with access to a rooftop deck, perfect for relaxing on the water or making a home base to visit the nearby parks. The apartment was beautiful and clean; kitchen had everything needed for cooking. We appreciated the little extras like coffee pods, fruit, and sparkling water. The hosts quickly answered our questions and allowed us privacy. Highly recommend staying here during a trip to the North Shore!

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Setting

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From both the spacious roof deck and the well appointed airy apartment, we enjoyed stunning views of Lake Superior. The location is central to anything you care to do on the North Shore and the apartment is a great place to come home to after a day of exploring. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals. But if you aren't in the mood to cook, Rustin Inn is just down the road! Your hosts, Brenda and Tom, are gracious and kind. The great attention to detail when creating their beautiful home shows the love they have for Lake Superior and the North Shore. We will definitely look forward to staying here again in the future.

Further, the location is ideally suited to minimize the wind Superior can throw at us. It was the site of an original homestead- settlers knew how to pick the best locations! Enjoy the serenity of secluded acreage with stunning views and easy access to all the adventures the North Shore has to offer. Retreat or adventure...or both.
