Charming Birdsong Cottage is located one block to downtown Beulah - very close to Crystal Lake Public Beach and Park, restaurants, and shopping. The cottage has been updated with AC upstairs. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, and a renovated upstairs bathroom. The cottage has a large yard with a deck and a fire pit. Whatever your outdoor sports or interests, this home is conveniently located in one of the best areas to enjoy what Northern Michigan has to offer.

The home was absolutely beautiful. We all agreed it was even nicer in person than the photos show! VERY short walking distance to the beach, downtown area, food. The fire pit and wood were perfect, kids played Frisbee while we relaxed around the fire in the evening. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Birdsong Cottage is a classic Craftsman cottage that was very comfy for our family vacation of 4 adults and 3 children. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and dishes. The bathrooms are clean and look brand new. We had fun at the Crystal Lake beach and also found Beulah a great base location for exploring the Lake Michigan coastline.

Perfect

Our family LOVED staying at the Birdsong Cottage. The house and property were extremely comfortable, with absolutely everything we needed for the week. Short walk to the beach and the quaint downtown area. We certainly hope to visit again.

Perfect Place

Lifelong friend group (40 years) short little vacation! This place was perfect! Communication with the host was amazing! Perfect little cottage walking distance to the adorable little town of Beulah. Close to all the amazing wonders of Lake Michigan! Perfect getaway!

This was an idyllic cottage for our annual visit to the area, balancing a historic vibe with modern amenities. Every detail seemed carefully planned and there were so many little touches that you can tell how much the owners care about your experience. The location was amazing, directly up the hill above the main strip of Beulah. We walked down to Ursa Major for our coffee every morning, and there is a public beach on Crystal Lake right nearby as well. Special callout to the firepit complete with all the wood you need for a bonfire. We sincerely appreciate the owners for their exceptional communication and will look to come back next year!

Perfect location

Very nice and quaint house, perfect location for my son's wedding. You can walk into town, local restaurants/breweries as well as shops. Sarah was very communitive and answered any questions I had. The layout worked well for our group, and everyone was very comfortable.

Wonderful stay up north

We had 7 people total in our party and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us because we rafted down the Platte River. The cottage was only a 15 minute drive from our start point. The host was quick to respond to messages and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils and tools to grill out one afternoon. Would recommend!

Great stay

The cottage is immaculately clean. The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms seem newly remodeled. The location is perfect for walking into town. The outside area is nice and quiet - we even had a family of deer entertain us while sitting outside. Overall, a great deal. Thanks to the host!

Great location’

This was a cute cottage with an excellent location. We could walk into town, where we could shop and dine. We were also within walking distance of the beach. Beulah also allowed us to make short day trips to other towns in the region such as Empire, Glen Arbor, Traverse City, and more. The cottage was full of little amenities that were greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this cottage for future stays.

Amazing stay!

We had such a great time at Birdsong Cottage! The owners really went above and beyond, they thought of everything when furnishing this place! Pens and notepads exactly where I needed them, small baskets for laundry, plenty of soap and toilet paper, even a night light in the kids' room! My kids loved discovering the board games, toys, and books, and my husband and I appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. The couch and beds were comfy, and the outdoor space is incredible! The location is perfect for a quick walk to downtown Beulah, and just a few minutes drive from lots of stores, restaurants, and other adventures. We enjoyed it so much, hope to be back next year!

Friends and Family Summer Vacay

This was the perfect place for a nice, relaxing summer vacation. Great location with the cute town of Beulah just a quick walk down the hill to enjoy restaurants, shops, and a great brewery. There is also a public access beach just down the hill and we enjoyed walking along Crystal Lake each morning on the Betsie Valley Trail. Frankfort and Traverse City are quick drives and we ventured up to Fishtown and toured the Leelanau Peninsula one day. St. Ambrose is also a fun family spot with Bear, meads, wines, as well as cornhole, bocce ball and even a garden with some beehives to view. They had music the night we went…loved the staff and relaxed atmosphere. We also had fun at the mini golf place just up the road! We would highly recommend the Birdhouse Cottage…Sarah really has thought of everything. So cute! Air conditioner is only upstairs; however, it was not a problem when we were there, fans kept it comfortable throughout the house. We would definitely stay again!

Hidden Gem!

Absolutely fantastic residence! Myself and five other friends stayed for four nights while fishing for the salmon coming into spawn and could not have been more pleased. The place is very spacious, clean and has everything you need (WiFi, kitchen supplies, etc.). What's really nice about the place is the patio area were they have a large fire pit with plenty of firewood. Every night we were there we sat around that fire pit enjoying ourselves. Another bonus is that it's walking distance from the Main St. / town area. Many of the shops and restaurants were closed since they appeared to be seasonal but not the local brewery which was awesome. The host Sara, was amazing and so accommodating as well. Her communication was top notch and she made every single easy. We'll be coming back here next year for sure!

Fun Visit to Beulah, MI

We spent two nights in Beulah, MI, to attend a local wedding. We found Birdsong Cottage to be spotlessly clean and provided with many thoughtful extras. Would highly recommend.

Charming and well equipped cottage

Rented quaint and charming cottage for two weeks and it was great. Very clean and well equipped. Close to activities in the area. Easy walk to beach and downtown Beulah for Thursday concerts, restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay there again. One minor comment is that guests in upstairs bedroom 2 have to walk through upstairs bedroom 3/loft to access the bathroom or go downstairs.

Up north paradise!

We absolutely loved the cottage and would stay again. The location so close to town was awesome. Easy drive to the activities we wanted to do in Frankfort and Empire. Great little kitchen for meals at home. We loved having a washer and dryer as it rained while we were hiking and we came back soaked. I would suggest more blankets stored in each room, as it got quite chilly one night and there wasn't enough extra blankets. I assume this was just because no one would expect it to drop in temperature this early! We didn't get to use the outdoor patio space or fire pit because we ran out of time, but we would plan a BBQ grill and smores night if we went back!

Birdsong Cottage is perfectly located - in the Village of Beulah, close to Crystal Lake, in a lovely spot of woods, and close to The Cherry Hut.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Birdsong Cottage was built in the 1930s. We can tell that the previous owners loved the house and kept much of the original historic features of the house intact, and we resolve to preserve and restore it. We have refinished the original maple floors, renovated the kitchen, and matched the gorgeous original built-in cabinetry. During renovation, we discovered that the builder used Byrkit Lath to sheathe the interior walls - tongue and groove boards into which wet plaster was pressed, to make strong waterproof walls. This cozy cottage is perfect for year-round living.
