WOW! Enjoy a carefree, resort lifestyle in this Clearwater - Avalon Complex.
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is 25 min away and St. Petersburg International Airport (PIE) is 15 minutes away from here.
Welcome to our new home! Basking in the Florida sun, enjoying a light ocean breeze and gazing across a sparkling community, the Avalon Complex stands proud amongst a row of other beautiful buildings, all in a very safe gated “resort like” complex with a plaza across the street (with many stores) and few very good restaurants nearby.
This apartment home, situated on the ground floor, small but perfectly formed (701 sq ft), boasts an open plan with a decent kitchen, a fairly large bedroom with a king bed and a good size balcony.
But the outdoors is where you want to be, with a heated pool surrounded by a sunny or shady area, palm trees, offering a total relaxation time. At the pool there is also a barbecue area with tables to enjoy the outdoors. And if you need to browse the internet, you also have Wi-Fi at the pool.

A short distance from everything that Clearwater, Tampa, and St Pete have to offer. Start out your day on your private patio with your cup of coffee and after enjoying the day at the beach or pool unwind with a glass of wine on the patio!
The community has all the amenities that you would want - a resort-style heated pool, clubhouse, fitness center and is only 4 miles from our beautiful Clearwater Beach! Whether you are planning to live here full time or use it as a vacation rental you can't beat the location. Close to restaurants, shopping, downtown Clearwater, Pier 60, Capitol Theater and so much more!
Directions: Heading west on Court St (SR 60/Gulf to Bay), turn left onto S Missouri Ave. In 1/2 mile turn right into Avalon of Clearwater. Through the Gate, Turn right or left into and follow the road around the until you see Building 6 – 1228 S Missouri.

This is a great place with a real heated pool that was very relaxing to use at the end of the day. The gym is perfect with excellent free weights, tread mills, elliptical walker, bike and rowing machine. The condo was perfect with all the amenities to cook meals, very clean and comfortable. Most notable was the host. Carmen is super easy to work with and very dialed into anything you need. We look forward to renting with her again.

Hosting Chris and Rosemary was fantastic, so very easy to coordinate everything! Wonderful guests that followed the house rules diligently, left the property in excellent condition, and I would gladly host them again. Highly recommended!

Tom and Diane are AWESOME guests. Generous, communicative and friendly during booking and check-in process, they looked after our place, leaving it very clean and cared for. They even bought us a new microwave as the one in the unit got damaged during their stay. I would highly recommend them and welcome them back anytime.

Throughout their 2nd stay with us, Linda and Tom exhibited kindness and courtesy in every interaction. They were considerate of the house rules and left the property in impeccable condition. Hosting them was effortless, and their presence added to the joy of sharing our home.

A late booking but everything done in a timely manner which in turn made me appreciate a lot Wayne and Lori for their speedy responses on all required steps for the check-in, so easy! Great central location

We stayed here as we were looking at buying property in the area. Very short ride to both Clearwater beach and Dunedin. Nicely appointed unit with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful pool area. Response time from the owner to answer questions was immediate and very friendly.

Great location and felt right at home

Carmen was a great host! We were able to check in with ease and had everything needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen was equipped with cookware and coffeemaker and bed was very comfortable! The location was perfect with just a quick drive to several beaches and our favorite clearwater beach. Also convenient with many restaurants close by to choose from and shopping. Would highly recommend staying here!

Great location

This apartment worked out well for my stay. Good location. Everything I needed. The host was very responsive. The complex is older and a bit dated. There was an issue with a strong perfume smell from the cleaning products that I could never get rid of. But that's the only negative. Close to Clearwater/Pinellas trail and beaches.

Comfortable,clean,quiet condo

We first stayed at the Avalon in 2017 and have returned each year since. This condo is very clean, comfortable and quiet, with everything you could need to enjoy your stay. Carmen has been our host 3 times and she is fabulous.

Great Vacation

This property was older and could use some updating. But, we felt safe and were comfortable there. The bed was very comfortable, which is just what we needed after long days of touring and boating. The pool area is quite pleasant. Carmen was such a pleasure. She happily answered all questions or concerns very quickly.

A great virtual connection! Wonderful-wonderful persons, very nice, kind and polite. Communication was super easy with Vonda, I knew from the start we'll be on top of things. Great place, awesome owner

The condo was roomy and clean. I think it was even better than the pictures. The location is in a very nice area. It was just a short drive to the beach and about anywhere else you'd like to go. A great pool just a few feet from the condo. All my communication with the owner was wonderful. She responded instantly to any questions or requests and was super helpful. I highly recommend!

Anniversary / Birthday getaway

Bev and I work very hard and wanted to go somewhere different for our 37th anniversary so we chose Tampa and Clearwater area for the 1st time and my Wife’s 1st time flying . 1st our host Carmen seemed to really care and checked in several times and even after our return home . The Condo was very clean modern and larger than most and The strip mall was a 7 min walk and the beach a short Uber ride also .We enjoyed the large pool area .5 stars to Carmen and Avalon .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Randy & Bev from NC

Cute Paris themed condo

The first thing that stood out was the property owner and her wonderful communication before, during and at check out. Carmen was absolutely fantastic and we could not ask for a better host. The condo is in a perfect location not far from Clearwater Beach and close to all our friends and family in the area. Publix grocery store is right across the street and there is a restaurant called Abes that is right in front of the complex which both are so convenient. The king size bed was so comfortable. I loved the Paris theme throughout the condo. My son slept on the couch which pulled out to a bed which he said was comfortable. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend to any one traveling in the Clearwater area.

I cannot say enough about our experience, Bonny and her son were not only delightful but where also the PERFECT guests. They left the place extremely clean and sparkling and they were a true joy to host. Guests like Bonny truly make hosting a pleasure! At departure they did more than required, I was speechless! Meh it was OK good communication

Back door does not lock.... I found that highly unacceptable. They expect it to lock with just a flimsy bar that can easily be broke into and it's on the ground floor. Window coverings let in a ton of light so it was hard to sleep plus the bed was INSANELY squeeky. Made for horrible sleep. Couch was not comfortable and the hide a bed in the storage had roaches. Other than that it was OK. the pool does not have a hot tub the Pic shows a water fall. And the pest control will enter without consent on Fridays you should know that.

A very hard person to please, a person that started an inquiry and informing about arriving after midnight, I approved BUT she never mentioned that she was coming a day ahead, without paying for an extra day. I was glad the place was ready, imagine if we had someone there with our regular checkout 11 am and she got there after midnight (3 AM) instead of 4 PM as per check-in time. We have great instructions where we mention the exact day and the window time when pest control is coming in the unit, yet she failed to read and was surprised when the team knocked and entered to do their job. She booked the place for 2 Adults and only much later found out she was coming with 2 kids. As our place is open only for 2 adults, the spare folding bed was kept on the balcony closet, unused in years! and can be true that bugs may have found their house in it. She never mentioned the need to use, I could have told cleaning team to prepare for use. We fixed this matter. The bed was looked into and few adjustments were made to make sure there is no squeaky sounds. Yes, is true! at the Balcony Door we have a metal protection bar to be used for securing the door as an extra protection. The balcony door lock was inspected and works perfectly. At departure, they left our place a mess, she forgot something in the unit and asked to go back to retrieve. All in all, their stay was high maintenance, and Sara is not at all understanding as she’s only ready to point the negative and she has nothing nice to say.

Carmen's Avalon

The condo was exactly as advertised. It is beautifully decorated, and very roomy. There is lots of closet space, and dressers, and the bed is very comfortable. It was the ideal location for our travel plans as we did not rent a car, and chose to use the Jolly Trolley ($5 a day) to get around the Clearwater/St. Pete area during our 2 week stay. The bus terminal was an easy 35 minute walk from the condo, and you could use the ticket on the local buses as well. There is a Publix store for groceries across the street, a 10 minute walk. The pool area was beautiful, and has comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellaed tables. The Avalon complex is very quiet despite having a number of residents, who were all friendly. You will not find a more welcoming and accommodating Host than Carmen. I had booked the condo 8 months ahead, and she was in contact with me before our trip. She provided me all the information on the property, and complex. If we had any issues, which we did not, she was only a text away. She contacted us after our arrival wanting to make sure all was fine, and if there was anything she could do for us. I would highly recommend this property!

Perfect, close and convenient

This property was well maintained, well stocked with enough of the necessities including toilet paper and paper towel to get you through your entire stay. Carmen checked in throughout the stay to make sure you were enjoying the place and did not have any questions which made you feel genuinely taken care of! The bed was very comfortable. To name a few other nice things there was a Publix grocery store (along with a Liquor store) right across the street from the complex along with a Big Lots for other things. There is also a blender in the unit along with an ice maker in the freezer for pina coladas from Publix 😉. This unit was close to the pool which was nice also. I could go on and on! Loved it!

On a personal note, I was born in Romania, married my husband 25 years ago, and lived good years in Holland and Montreal. For nearly 20 years now, we’ve made Toronto our home. We love to travel, and have seen the world: Holland Belgium, Germany, Cyprus, Egypt, Panama, Bahamas, Venezuela, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, the US and all of eastern Canada… but really, there is no place like home with your family!
