Peaceful, breezy beach retreat with stunning top-floor views near Rum Point

Whether you are looking for a tranquil space to relax and re-charge, to enjoy some fun in the sun with your family or to work remotely with stunning ocean views, The Nest at North Pointe Condominiums is the nourishing retreat you need.

Situated in North Side, Grand Cayman, the condo is a 45 minute drive from the airport and 3 minutes drive from Rum Point and close to Kaibo. The Nest is a top floor, centrally air-conditioned, 2 bedroom/2 bath, end apartment with its own private steps to the beach and the warm turquoise Caribbean sea. Perched 30 feet above sea level and with a 180 degree view of the coast, the view from The Nest is spectacular. Located on the wilder North coast of Grand Cayman, there is a special energy and beauty here which gives it its authentic island feel. If you are looking for crowds, buzz and nightlife, this is not the place for you but if you love watching a pink and orange sunrise with a coffee, lounging by the pool or on the beach with a cool beverage, snorkelling from a white sand beach and then falling to sleep lulled by the sound of the waves on the shore, then you will love it here.

The Nest is a 1250sqft, recently renovated, fully furnished top floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms and a large screened lanai (patio) with spectacular views of the ocean and coastline. This unique corner unit has exceptional natural light throughout and a sea view from every window. This particular stretch of coastline catches the prevailing winds which means there is frequently a wonderful breeze when you won't find one on the other side of the island.

The Nest has a small but fully equipped and updated kitchen with stovetop and oven, large new fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric coffee maker, toaster, bullet blender, sharp knives, kettle and everything you need to prepare your meals. We provide coffee filters, olive oil, salt and pepper, kitchen towel, foil and plastic wrap.

The open plan living space has a pitched ceiling which gives it a light and airy feel and offers a dining nook with seating for up to six adults, large sofa and chair and TV with satellite cable. There is also a selection of books and games for rainy or lazy days. There is high speed reliable wi-fi throughout. We do not have TVs in the bedrooms.

The Nest’s primary bedroom, has a comfortable, firm king size bed which faces a large window with a stunning sea view and an ensuite bathroom (bath tub and shower) with plentiful storage. All towels and linens are provided, including beach towels. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided. Sliding doors lead out to the lanai. There is a built in closet and two dressers with plenty of storage space.

The second bedroom also looks out to the lanai and the ocean beyond and has two twin beds and a jack and jill bathroom. A PaknPlay crib is also available if you have a little one. There are dressers and a built in closet. In this room there is also a small desk that can be used for sending off those urgent emails if you need to work.

The screened lanai is shuttered and the louvres can be closed for heavy rain or wind. There is a ceiling fan and a large comfortable dining table and seating for 6. You will probably want to eat all of your meals out here! There is also a storage chest containing beach toys and pool noodles and some snorkel gear. Folding beach chairs and coolers are provided for day trips.

The Nest is one of only 10 privately owned apartments in the complex with more than 300 feet of uncrowded white sand beach. The beach entry to the water is turtle grass and sand and is great for snorkelling. Beautiful tropical fish, grouper, parrot fish, turtles, rays, and puffer fish all on the shallow coral reefs are only steps from The Nest. There is also a nice pool and decking area with loungers, which overlook the ocean. For those with children, there is a shallow toddler pool and mini waterfall. It's a great place for hide and seek and beach games!

For easy 24/7 access we use a key-less entry system, so you don't need to worry about carrying keys around.

We live in Cayman and personally manage The Nest, so we are available 24-7-365 should you need anything at all during your stay.
