Ocean view Cardiff home, walk to beach and town!

Come and enjoy spectacular ocean views in our newly redecorated, new to VRBO home in Cardiff by the Sea. You will enjoy beautiful sunsets over the Pacific from the spacious deck, bright and airy family room, well appointed kitchen and cozy den. This home is not only beautifully decorated inside, it is comfortable and great for families as well as well as a group of friends, or even a romantic getaway. Beautiful views to the west and a very private patio to the east. Our home is in a quiet, safe location, nestled in an older neighborhood. Parking is easy - two spaces right in the driveway. Of course our home is equipt with Wifi.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms - a large master bedroom with a king bed, and an equally large master bath with his and hers sinks, a bathtub and shower. The second bedroom upstairs is bright and cheery with two twin beds and a full bathroom right outside . Downstairs, there are two bedrooms each with queen beds. One is perfect for working as it has a desk, a door to the outside patio, as well as a lot of space. Both of these bedrooms share a full bath.

The kitchen has been recently stocked with everything you will need to cook great meals at home- new pots, pans, plates, dishes... you name it! Since this home is a 5 minute walk to town, you will enjoy exploring charming Cardiff by the Sea with it's unique mix of shops, restaurants, and of course locals favorite Seaside Market with their famous "Cardiff Crack" - a must try for all carnivores out there! Almost forgot to tell you we have a BBQ as well on the deck outside of the kitchen!

Finally the real reason you are here - the beach! After looking at the ocean for a day you will want to head on down! It is about a 15 minute walk get your toes in the sand. Our home has beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels for you to enjoy - so don't worry purchasing or traveling with these items.

We have provided a few beach cruisers to be used if you so choose but ride at your own risk. You assume liability for any mishaps while cruising around.

We hope you will love our home as much as we do - if not, we are here to make sure your vacation is the best it can possibly be.

relaxing and smooth

great house! we enjoyed walking to seaside market in the morning for the $1 coffee and walking by the beach. the house is spacious, open, clean and the fireplace is a nice touch! Beautiful views too! don't think about it, just book it! -acosta family

Very Nice Property

Spacious home with a beautiful ocean view. Main bedroom and bath are very large, beds very comfortable. Some points to note: the driveway is very steep and there are a number of stairs to enter the property. The main level has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, dining room, sitting area and family room with large TV. Downstairs there are 2 more bedrooms and a full bath. The garage, washer/dryer on this lower level too. The driveway is narrow, two large cars would not fit comfortably side by side but one car can be pulled in the garage if needed creating more space in the driveway. The home is sparse - no shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, bottled water or filtered water. No spices in the kitchen or coffee/coffee filters. You have to bring a lot with you, so for a 3 night stay like ours it was a lot. They did have hand soap in the bathrooms. Other homes I’ve rented in the past have had welcome baskets with at least a nights worth of water, coffee etc. That would have been a very nice touch and made us feel more welcome. The walking pathway between the beach and the house is great. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of walkers and families on the path. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shops a 5 min drive or 15 min walk.

Perfect Getaway

The house was as described, clean and comfortable. The view from the front deck was spectacular a great place for morning coffee. The host was extremely responsive. I look forward to returning next year

Adult sibling time.

Beautiful house with a lovely view. Close to beach and a great walking trail. My brother loved the big TV. We loved having a room to ourselves.

Lovely Oceanview property

Excellent location, beautifully decorated and well appointed home. Quiet neighborhood with great proximity to beaches, restaurants, and outdoor activities. Would definitely stay here again! Host is promptly responsive and accommodating.

Peacefully beautiful house and view

The house was so lovely, I wish I could buy it and live there. The deck over looking the ocean is just a glorious place to be and the primary bedroom/bathroom so nice! There was a breeze blowing through the house with windows open on all sides. Loved every minute of my stay!

Encinitas Beach House

My family had a wonderful week with most of our time spent hanging out at the beach. Property is clean and roomy and perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the beach seen along with activities in Del Mar and San Diego

Perfect property for a family vacation

The house was very spacious with plenty of room for our 2 families to both commune and get quiet time. The master bed/bath room is definitely the prize so you might need to fight over that one! The property manager was super responsive and helpful, which we really appreciated. We went to the beach a lot, and walked to both Cardiff and Encinitas, used the bikes, beach towels and the boogie board. Beautiful sunsets from the front deck. It's hard to get a property to meet all your needs for a large group vacation, and it's definitely pricey to get one in SD, but this met all our expectations.

Fantastic vacation rental!

If you want to stay near Encinitas, this is the place! We stayed for a week-long family reunion and loved every minute. Easy walk or bike into Cardiff, Encinitas, and sweet Swami Beach. Convenient drive everywhere else in greater San Diego. Great kitchen and dining table for cooking and sharing meals. Comfy rooms and beds. Amazing ocean views from the deck. And a responsive and accommodating host to boot!

The place is great and we slept well. A recommendation to let guests know there is not a water filtration spout that works on site so bring your own drinking water. Also, bring all shampoo/conditioner and soaps, etc. Nothing on-site for guests. Suggest bringing extra beach towels and also coffee and filters if you are a coffee drinker. Nothing is available for guests. The place is lovely and clean. The ocean is not a walkable distance, driving is necessary due to train tracks.

Awesome place!!!

Excellent house, great views, property manager was responsive. Loved the stay. The beach is nearby but I would count on driving to it for surfing or hanging out. Incredibly quiet neighborhood with all amenities nearby, so a very relaxing stay.

Great property!!

We LOVED Millie's home. Great location and so much space! We especially loved the front deck where you get a view of the ocean :) A quick short walk (~10-15 mins) to some of the BEST places in Cardiff (you have to try VG's...the best donuts!) Thanks Millie, we will definitely be back to stay again!!!

Ocean experience

This property is a real find. Clean and well managed, with a beautiful view of the pacific through extensive windows in the main living area and master bedroom. What really made this unusual, is the responsiveness of the owner, with a sincere interest in providing a positive experience. An excellent communicator, with quick and specific messaging. The beds are in excellent condition, the house is well-appointed, and clean enough for even the strictest standards. Highly recommend this location for family events, or just a getaway. Note - there are stairs. Not an issue for us, but could be for mobility issues.

Amazing Place and Host

Millie is a great host, she will do whatever she can to help you with any special requests. Her place is amazing, has everything you need, and is beyond comfortable. The views are gorgeous. Waking Up In Paradise

Millie was wonderful. Finding and getting set up in the house was easy. Connected to the internet seamlessly while looking out at the surfers 2 blocks away. walking distance to coffee, groceries, restaurants, and the beach. Family commented on how open and relaxed it was to be in the house. 10/10 would stay here again.

Perfect!!!

Wow! What a great place! Very clean, totally stocked, location is awesome and the view on the patio was our favorite place for family games, meals and quiet morning prayer time. We loved that we could walk to the beach from the house and it’s really close to grocery stores, good breakfast places and a great place to be able to take mile long walks. We were sad to leave and hope to come back. Thank you! Definitely worth it!!! This place knocked it out of the park and it was such a great vaca

Beautiful home across the street from the beach!

Brand new beautiful home within walking distance to the beach, dining, shopping, entertainment, everything! Very comfortable home with great host and neighborhood! Can't wait to stay again! Highly recommend!!

Perfect Beach Retreat

This is a great getaway for all ages. Newly renovated, loads of light, airy and bright with a spectacular view of the ocean - you will absolutely love your stay here. There's plenty of space for families to spread out, especially for those with teens. The owners and manager were extremely helpful and responsive whenever we reached out with questions. There's a real cozy feel here with just the right touches to make your stay feel extra special. Master bed was very comfortable with large bathroom and wonderful skylight. We enjoyed sitting out on the wrap-around deck with a clear view of the ocean. Perfect spot for morning coffee, cocktails, dinner and surfer-watching. Swami's Beach and San Elijo are just a hop-skip away. Morning walks with the rest of the locals were a real treat and the surrounding neighbors very nice. (People are definitely enjoying life here). The kitchen is fully-stocked for easy cooking and grocery stores are in close proximity. If you are wanting local eateries, there are plenty to choose from like Fish 101, Lourdes and you won't want to miss VG's Donut & Bakery (best glazed I've had since the 80's). Simply divine!
