Waterfront Cottage on Scenic Sportsman Pond

Waterfront Cottage, large enclosed porch with casement windows, 330 ft of waterfront, 154 acre pond for fishing, swimming, boating and waterfront toys with canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and a row boat for your boating pleasure. Fishing boat w motor would be $25.00 per day under administrative.

Many games, DVDs, puzzles and books for rain days. Enclosed porch with casement window for evening activities, Horse shoes, a blow up raft, 4 paddle boards are also available for your boating pleasure. Pond averages 7 to 11 ft. deep. Very private get away with only a few cottages on the pond.

Fire Pit in the evening to sit around with a supply of wood to cook samores over. Horse shoes and corn hole for outside yard activities.

Events:
We host special events for Christian Groups and Patriotic events where we express our thankfulness for this beautiful world God has given us and for all those have fought to keep us free and our country safe.

In early June we host a Father/Son weekend event by special arrangement.

In the mid September we do a special get together for former guests and friends

We had a good time. The place is extremely clean, and peaceful. It was nice that it was pet friendly and we could bring our dog. The pond really wasnā€™t for swimming and the kids were disappointed. We tried some fishing and the second day out on the canoe we did catch some small perch. The pond was really low and only a few feet deep. Itā€™s a great place for peace and quiet.

Perfect Getaway

The cabin is clean and well stocked. The hosts were extremely attentive and made us feel welcomed. The pond is great for kayaking and fishing. Close enough to Keene and Great hiking nearby.

A wonderful secluded gem

We stayed here 4 nights and loved it. We basically had the lake to ourselves the entire time, and we were there on labor day. If you're looking for fishing, kayaking, grilling, time in the woods, and relaxing ... it doesn't get better than this. Brad and Linda were wonderful hosts as well.

Blueberry Cottage

The scenery and ambiance of the property won us over right away. Slept on the veranda with the windows open, listening to the wildlife and waking to the views of the lake. Was a great place, sorry it was so chilly in the morningsā€¦canā€™t do much about the weather :)

Private wooded shady retreat camp with good fishing and very kind hosts. If your going to fish for bass firetiger colors brighter the better even for soft plastic twitch baits.

Overall our stay was pleasant, fun amenities for yard and water. They had it all. Cottage stocked with all items you may need to cook at home. Bedrooms very comfortable. Hosts very accommodating with our pets.

Cozy cottage on secluded pond

We were delightfully surprised how much we loved this cottage. We enjoyed the fishing, kayaking and especially the fire pit. Linda and Brad were very hospitable. If you want to be on a secluded pond in the middle of a pine forest, then this is the place for you.

A peaceful cottage by the water. A great spot for kayaking, fishing and canoeing. The cottage is very well equipped and activities for rainy days. The beds and seating are comfortable. The view from the porch is nice.

Perfect lake getaway!

Blueberry Cottage is the perfect place to unwind by the lake. The cottage was well stocked and equipped with everything you could possibly need. So much to do right on the property. We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and fishing right off the private dock. We enjoyed bonfires every night and really appreciated having firewood there and ready to use. We will surely be back!

Fantastic tune

We had an amazing time with our puppy. Fishing, motor boat, kayaking. Perfect weather. Home was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed the outdoors, views and fire pit. Linda and Brad are gracious hosts. We WILL be back if you want to enjoy the out doors. This is a must.

Staying with nature

The hosts are excellent! Itā€™s a very well-stocked place they thought of everything What a great property that sits right on the lake. There are lots of wildlife to see chipmunks and squirrels even beavers. Plenty of water toys and excellent kayaking and canoeing on the lake what a beautiful place! And we canā€™t forget the great fire pit hope to come again soon! Thanks so much!

A touch of Serenity

Linda was wonderful in her review of the property and was very accommodating in all aspects of our stay. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable including the mattress. We enjoyed the lake and a little fishing. The area is very nice and we did some exploring. It was very quiet and we rarely even saw anyone while we were on the lake. Dark and dreary and junk yard

We left the next day and returned to our beautiful well kept backyard and home that provided much comfort. This is the first time weā€™ve been disappointed with VRBO it was totally disgusting

Perfect retreat for peace and quiet

Sportsman's Pond and Blueberry Cottage provided the ideal location for disconnecting from the noise and busyness of every day life. The pond was beautifully serene, without outboard motors, jet skis, etc. The fall colors were gorgeous. The hosts provided every sort of watercraft one might want. I kayaked everyday exploring the shoreline and watching for birds. The cottage was well equipped, the bed was comfortable and an assortment of chairs and couches were available for lounging, viewing the lake and simply reading or napping. There was plenty of hot water. Floor heaters were provided to counter the fall temperatures. Bottled water was in ample supply for those who prefer a non-mineral taste. We returned home refreshed, relaxed and revitalized.

We were looking for a private retreat in the NH woods

The description in Vrbo matched what we found & other than the rain we had a great time. We spent a good deal of our time out on the water in the provided kayaks,floats, motor boats & swimming. The water will appear brown but it is clear. It is this color because of the type of tree rooots that ring this very large pond that is only 10 ft deep. Lots of fish! We saw a bald eagle,heron,heard loons. Very private, never saw anyone else. Great basecamp for hiking, biking, going to restaurants. Several nearby towns have movies,libraries,groceries & laundromat. Limited shopping for gifts. We would go back!

We got into the hospitality business in 2019 with Loon Camp on Miller Pond in Grantham NH and have loved sharing that camp with all the wonderful guests that we have had come visit us over the last three years. Blueberry Cottage on Sportsman Pond is a new venture for us which we plan on making very special for our guests and is a very natural setting, rustic and surround by the natural signs of nature with only a few camps on this beautiful pond. We have birds on sportsman pond with wingspans up to 5 ft and all the wildlife that visit a large pond that is undeveloped. It also has all the modern conveniences of Home, where at Loon camp in
Grantham it is more rustic with a composting toilet.

Wake up and enjoy the sounds and sites of nature at this beautiful spot. Frogs, crickets and all types of waterfront birds and wild life.

Por que o anfitriĆ£o escolheu essa propriedade

Nature at its best with lots of natural land around pond and only a few camps on the water. Good fishing, and large brook in and out, where you can explore, enjoy, and get pictures of some of the wildlife early in the morning. Guests are welcome to use canoe, kayaks and fishing boat as long as they have life jackets on when on or in the water and have a buddy system..

Sailboat will be available for experienced sailers shortly for an extra fee. Give us a year and we plan on making this a premier spot to get away and relax and be close to nature.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

Nature in its virgin state. Fire pit to enjoy the evenings. Porch to enjoy the rainy days with games, puzzles, and books to enjoy. Also many dvd available to watch in the evening or enjoy marsh mellow s'mores at the fire. To take care of the mosquitoes that have been prevalent this summer we have treated lot and installing some quiet but effective bug zappers. Site is 3.2 acres, has large pine trees, and is a very peaceful site to stay
