Dream Home with Solar Heated Pool, Putting Green, City Lights

This gorgeous house in Santa Fe style is situated in the Tucson Mountains overlooking the city and Oro Valley. Downtown, the old part of Tucson and shopping areas / malls are just a few minutes away. The property is more than one acre including a nice solar heated pool (allows swimming from about March - end of Oct.) with automatic cover and surrounded by very nice vegetation. You will enjoy the cozy house with 3 bedrooms, living/dining area with fireplace and a nice open kitchen as well as the veranda with a spectacular view over the city.
Additional information: We do have surveillance cameras on the veranda, which monitor part of the pool. But this cameras are NOT on during the time we have guests in the house. It's a safty feature we have during the time the house is not occupied.
We also have a doorbell camera, which is always on and also provides security for our guests

Tucson is a town in the south of Arizona, surrounded by spectacular mountain views and breath-taking desert scenery. Dominated by saguaros and desert flowers, a touch of the Wild West, as known from many great movies, can always be felt. From September to April the climate is moderate or warm whereas the summer months are hot and dry, but never unpleasant due to low humidity. 350 days of sun per year are the rule. In the city one is aware of the influence of near-by Mexiko. Life offers all the comforts of a typical American city, but in combination with the relaxation of the southern way of life. The overwhelming scenery as well as attractions like the Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone (Wyatt Earp) invite to excursions and the picturesque old town call for a stroll through the city. With over 70 golf-courses within a small range, Tucson is a paradise for golfers.

The host and property manager were friendly, helpful and communicative. The house was absolutely wonderful in almost every way.... amazing views, comfortable beds, great well stocked kitchen, lovely pool (even though it was out of season for us to use), wonderful great room with fireplace for gathering. The view from the master bathroom was to die for!

Still one of our favorite homes to stay at. The views are amazing. It is nice to sit on the deck and watch the storms at night. The neighborhood is great. The inside of the house is very clean and has everything you need.

Mid-winter get away.

The property is gorgeous and well-maintained. Check in was a breeze. It suited our group perfectly ( 4 older adults) It was too chilly in Jan to use the pool but everything else was great.

Spring Break Family Trip

This was a great house/property for our family!! Perfect size for our 3 boys and 2 parents to spread out when needed. Loved the pool and the outdoor fireplace! Beautiful views, too!!

Beautiful house, gorgeous view, great kitchen

My family stayed here over spring break. The back deck has a spectacular view and the kitchen is very well equipped. The house was well organized and very comfortable. It is up in the hills in a nice neighborhood.

Lovely Home

We’ve stayed here twice and have been exceptionally pleased both times. The house and yard are very comfortable and the kids enjoyed the pool. Excellent experience all around.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. It was a short distance to the sights and restaurants in downtown Tucson . The neighborhood was quiet and the house well equipped . We hope to return in the future.

Former Tucsonan

Single father returning to Tucson with school aged kids to experience the desert for the first time. Near enough to the interstate for easy day trips north or south. Pool was welcome relief from heat. Views of surrounding area mountains and monsoon rains were spectacular. Enjoyed all the cacti and critters, too!

Peace and quiet overlooking the city

We enjoyed the 90s charm in this sprawling home. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of amenities throughout. The inviting wraparound deck offers views of the heated pool and the Tucson area below.

Quiet and Relaxing

We've stayed at this home before and once again we loved staying here. The pool is very relaxing. The home is clean and cozy. The neighborhood is quiet and close enough to town and other sites. The view is beautiful when relaxing on the deck. I know whenever we decide to go to Tucson this is where we will always stay.

Great view Nice House

Incredible!

Views are breathtakingly beautiful. Property is clean, spacious, comfortable. Loved how clearly all the lights and door locks were labeled. Host and local property manager were speedy quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommended!

Relaxation and wildlife

This is our second time staying here and ithe home never disappoints. The kitchen is fully equipped and the home overall is very clean. The view at night of the city is beautiful and the hummingbirds are always fun to watch. The pool is great way to end the day after a long hike. Coyotes and bobcats have been spotted from the deck . Overall a great saty!

Wonderful setting in the Tucson mountains

My family stayed in your lovely home this past week for our son's graduation from the University of Arizona. We all enjoyed the pool and beautiful views from your large back porch. We liked the secluded location and even saw some wildlife while sitting on the porch, two coyotes, lots of hummingbirds, and two different types of bunnies. We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking of vacationing in the Tucson area.

Holiday Stay

This is a great location with a stunning view of the mountain outside. The house is spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the architecture and painting. If there is anything to change I would recommend a more comfortable mattress in the master bedroom. The house caretaker was very responsive. We would stay again.

Quiet and spacious

We really enjoyed our stay at Andrea's Tucson home. It is a spacious and charming house in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was more than well stocked and we appreciated that the heating system was efficient, as we stayed during the winter and the nights were chilly. The views from the deck were fantastic with beautiful sunrises. We were there for the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show but also did a lot hiking in the area north of town, so the location worked well for that. It was a great place for a family stay!

Beautiful house in the foothills

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here. It was very hot, but the swimming pool was such a relief. We were in town to visit our son, who’s during a summer internship at U of A. The location is very quiet and very close to the Sweetwater Perserve Trailhead. The house has a beautiful view of the mountains. For a couple of evenings the monsoons came through and we had a magnificent display from our view on the porch!

Amazing Desert Retreat

This VRBO was perfect! The desert location was beautiful with native flora and even wildlife - there was a young bobcat on the porch when we arrived and later on that arrival day I saw two others sitting on the putting green. The house is spacious and decorated appropriately for the desert setting. I especially liked the wall mural and adobe corner fireplace. The veranda along two sides of the house, the pool, and outdoor fireplace area were all very inviting. I really enjoyed sitting outside at different times of day enjoying the mountain and city views.

Perfect stay in the desert

My family had a fabulous time at your lovely home in Tuscon. Everything was just as the photos pictured and we wanted for nothing. The notebook with current grocery store ads and store cards was a great touch! Your cleaning staff even called to check on us just to be sure things were good. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is the pool was way to cold to use ...apparently the solar heater for the pool had not been set up for the season. Otherwise, it was a perfect spot .... seriously the views are breathtaking both night and day!

Gorgeous sunrise views from the veranda

We stayed for a week in January. The house is spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The location is great- about a 10 minute drive from downtown and historic old town, and up in a nice neighborhood with views in all directions. The veranda was my favorite place to watch the beautiful sunrises—I was seated outside with my coffee; it was what I needed on our getaway. We saw doves, hummingbirds, hawks, an owl and a coyote a few times. The master bathroom has a tub with a big window overlooking the city view- very relaxing. Communication with the owner and property manager were easy, pleasant and prompt. The neighborhood is good for walking. I also liked all the various sitting areas outside- people can have space to themselves if they want. Overall, a very lovely stay in a great house! Would totally recommend and we’d come back!

The perfect venue from which to enjoy the Tucson area

Wow. What a great house & location overlooking Mt. Lemmon & the city of Tucson. We had awesome sunrises for the family's early birds, great views during the day and even better views at night. We loved breakfast on the expansive side porch, afternoons by the pool, dinner on the patio and board games at the dining room table in the evening. The wine cooler kept our beverages at a perfect temperature and we found the kitchen to be exceptionally well equipped with new appliances and everything needed for the preparation of a scrumptious dinner. Also, we found that a fire in the chimenea and conversation on the patio by the pool after dinner was a perfect way to wind down after a day of hiking, birding, golfing, sightseeing, shopping or exploring. We loved having bathrooms at both ends of the house and enjoyed the large living room. I appreciated the back office space for keeping up with business. The bedrooms were good size & the beds were very comfortable. Finally, Andrea has done an excellent job of providing material about things to do in the Tucson area and, when we had a question, a quick call to Berlinda provided the answer. We found this to be a really nice place and very well located for exploring Tucson and the surrounding area. Thank you, Andrea, for a great month!!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE/DISGUSTING POOL

We do not typically leave bad reviews, we just move on...but this one deserves a review!!! Ultimately our problem was the cleanliness of the pool and pool area, which was disgusting. ALSO, we found hair on the bathroom counter, crumbs in the kitchen drawers, dirty silverware and a note was left that the dryer is not working properly. The pool cover was disgustingly dirty and not just from one windstorm. The lounge chairs by the pool and the overall pool area, was thick with dust, dirt and leaves and obviously not cleaned in a very long time. We opened the pool cover only to discover piles of leaves and debris in the bottom of the pool. The furniture on the deck was covered with dust and dirt, again not from just one windstorm, it would have had to been scrubbed. Because of her positive reviews we felt comfortable renting this place so maybe the housekeeper and the pool boy just had a bad day……unfortunately their bad day turned into our vacation starting out in complete disappointment. It is too bad that we cannot attach photos to this review. Bottom line is I am not going on vacation to either clean someone else’s place OR help manage someone else's place by needing to contact their housekeeper or pool boy for things that should have been taken care of prior to arrival. ALSO...a camera pointed at the pool which was not disclosed AND not allowed by VRBO unless it is disclosed, again it is not!! We should be able to post pics here but we cannot unfortunately. TERRIBLE!
