Come stay at this one of a kind modern A-Frame cabin with 180 degrees of breathtaking views! If it's peace and quiet you're looking for, search no further. This tranquil serene cabin will offer you the rest and relaxation you truly deserve for your perfect little getaway. Located in Running Springs less than 5 miles from Snow Valley Resort, and situated in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, enjoy mountain biking and hiking during the summer, or snow activities during the winter.

Fresh towels and linens provided along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, q-tips, full dining sets plates, bowls, cups, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, keurig coffee maker, rice cooker, and blender. Just bring your clothes and a sense for adventure and leave the rest up to us!

Truly an amazing experience. Don was so quick to respond wirh any concerns or questions we had. Truly made this family getaway memorable. I highly recommend if you need a clean fun safe cabin to enjoy with loved ones.

Our only issue - and unfortunately, it was a considerable inconvenience - was a backed up sump pump that took a bathroom out of use and saturated the most of the carpet in the downstairs bedroom. This created an odor in the basement, caused some of our clothes to get wet, and stressed us out on our second evening.

Rustic and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Communication with Don was prompt. The beds are comfortable and clean, the cabin was rustic and cozy and had everything we needed to cook a few simple meals. Just what we were looking for.

Get more than you pay for

This is a quaint cabin in the woods. This gem is perfect for getting away from the city and recharging your mental batteries. Things we loved about it were the beds were more comfortable than our beds at home. The kitchen was STOCKED with a spice rack, sugar, coffee, flour, and more. The living room had boardgames and books, a decent size TV, and a wood burning stove with wood. I have rented cabins in the past and none of them had any kind of consumables other than toilet paper. The neighborhood is super quiet and the locals are friendly. A wave of the hand or a tip of the hat goes a long way with the locals. The cabin is super close to old school family dining in Running Springs, or if you want something fancier Big Bear or Arrowhead are 30 minutes away. In short, this is a fanatic cabin you can rent at a fantastic price. If you are renting a quaint cabin in the woods and you don't like this cabin, well you don't understand the meaning of the word quaint.

Meh stay overall, wouldn’t revisit

I reached out to the owner before our stay to inquire about power outage backup options etc, since we were due to arrive just before a winter storm warning and I hadn’t otherwise heard anything about check in. Owner gave super brief response about bringing flashlights, having no backup power, and nothing about potential refund should we have to leave due to no power. This is compared to a friend renting a cabin a block away wherein the owners proactively reached out to let them know about backup power/lights/etc and offered a refund in advance if they lost power and didn’t want to stay. That was just the precursor… when trying to open the lockbox at checkin, I couldn’t get it open. I sent a frantic message to the owner asking him to call me to help, bc a) I had no internet and b) it was starting to snow hard and I had two little kids I needed to get inside. He never called - instead sent me a Vrbo msg 45 mins later saying “there’s a cover.” Not helpful at all. Anyway, we finally got the frozen lockbox opened and entered a freezing cabin (as expected, no worries just turn on heater). Heat never got above 63 degrees day 1. In our 4 day trip heat never got above 67 degrees despite running full time, us shutting all doors to minimize drafts etc. so we were super cold the whole trip. Found mouse poop in several corners, not even well hidden so cleaning crew is obvi not very good. No sleds available (it’s a winter property, how much would it be to ask to have a few sleds??). Husband wanted to leave early but we couldn’t bc of the storm/icy roads. In all, an old rundown dirty property I wouldn’t revisit, with an owner that didn’t seem to care whether their guests had a nice time. Pictures look better than it is. The location is great tho, in terms of neighborhood. And the water ran hot. And the cabin had beautiful Mountain Views. Those are the pluses :)

Keri I didn’t know I was supposed to offer you a refund due to weather. You asked me if the power would go out and I had no way of predicting that. As for the lockbox, I’m sorry you didn’t realize it had a cover that flips down. When you messaged me on VRBO, instead of calling me, I was in a meeting at work. And since you messaged me through VRBO, I thought that was your preferred way of communication, so I messaged back as soon as I saw it. As time went by and after numerous questions and complaints, I realized you were really just fishing for a discount or refund of some sort. I’m sorry I couldn’t offer a discount especially when being blackmailed or bullied into doing so. My other reviews will speak for themselves as I’ve been a 4+ star superhost for years, and haven’t had any complaints about the cabin even close to what your describing. It’s tragic that guests can use bad reviews as leverage or retaliation to get what they want, which can really tarnish a host’s hard work, but that’s the nature of the business I guess. Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed your stay. No hard feelings on my end. Have a great day!

Beautiful panoramic scenery

Hello we chose this cabin because if it's ambiance and location. We were excited with our stay because we had snow still after last rain fall. And we love arrow bear and surrounding areas. Its better than big bear because its not as crazy busy. We wanted peace and quiet. We got that here. The cabin was charming. Decor was nice. Kitchen could be upgraded we had some issues with the stove but we made it work. We had great parking. Our views from our rooms were stunning. Beds were comfy. But I had to wash the blankets they were clearly not washed before our arrival. The cleaning lady forgot the dates and didn't have our room ready when we arrived . We were a little early but still thought the rooms would have been ready and thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. But they have a nice washer and dryer and that was helpful especially if your a clean freak. They don't have cleaning stuff so bring your own. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the study room upstairs was nice. I have a 2 year old so definitely be aware. It's not child proof the banisters upstairs definitely a child could fall through them you have to also be careful going down the bottom level we all literally fell down the stairs a couple of times. You have to side step down. It's too steep and too shallow. So just watch your step and watch your little ones. But non the less we enjoyed our stay . The ambience outside really takes your breath away. We would recommend this place . But don't forget your sleds or snow play stuff for the childeren they don't have that and being your own first aid kit.

Snow getaway

My family and I enjoyed this property very much. It has an excellent layout with bedrooms on each of the three levels. The A frame ceiling is a wonderful feature in this cabin. A great place to stay for a winter getaway.

An rustic and cozy A-frame cabin.

I've always loved the feel of the A-frame cabins. A nice loft with bed and sitting area up top, while the bottom floor bunk bed and twin bed, bathroom for the kiddos. Cute small kitchen with old school stove that works! Could not figure out how to work the oven but a nice grill out on patio worked out perfectly to warm up the turkey for Thanksgiving. Host Don was very responsive to any questions or issues that may have arised. We accidently left an item behind but we were able to go collect it, thanks Don! Cabin is perfect to come home to relax after a nice hike!

Cabin with a Forest View

The large A-Frame cabin is clean, large, well decorated and furnished with amenities for the family. A beautiful family bedroom and games were helpful. The balcony is first-rate. The property is located next to Green Valley Lake, Arrobear and Running Springs. It's an easy drive to elegant Lake Arrowhead shops and boating and boating.

It was then that I decided I wanted to own a cabin so that I could get away whenever life and the city was too much to Bear (see what I did there). I couldn't be more happy with my decision, and every time I go up to The Bear's Den, I instantly feel a sense of release and relaxation. Like there's no more care in the world, no more stress, no more worries about life, work, or anything else. A time to RESET! I feel we all need to reset once in awhile, and this is why I'm offering my cozy retreat for all that need it. Come stay and rest, relax, and reset...cuz you deserve it :)

What makes this space unique is the tri-level design that allows everyone their own personal space. The main second floor houses one bedroom, a full bathroom, the kitchen, living room, and dining room. The top third floor loft houses the master king bedroom along with an office and lounging area. And the bottom level houses a full bathroom, and a large bedroom with one double bed and a twin size bunk bed perfect for the kids. The best part...there are not a ton of stairs you need to climb to get to the cabin, so save the hiking for the trails!
