Luxury Boutique House

In the heart of Chania’s charming historic quarter, Casa Alba's amazing balconies overlook the Venetian harbor and the 15th century Light House.
According to Telegraph, Chania belongs to the oldest cities in Europe (forth in the list) where the earliest inhabitants settled before 4000 BC. Our beautiful house, with unknown construction date, stands there with its authenticity from the early 19th Century if its considered that the Old Harbor was heavily bombed during World War II.
Guests can enjoy an absolute relaxation in a very distinctive area of the Old Town as the seafront (Akti Kountourioti) features several historical buildings and a thriving nightlife. Lots of fish taverns and traditional eateries are scattered around the harbor. Not only that but our house provides a spacious kitchen and in combination with our terrace guest can enjoy their meal with a breathtaking view.
Casa Alba provides car rental service and can organize excursions. Chania Airport is 17.7 km away, while the Souda port is 6.4 km from the property. The beach, taxi and bus station are just over a quarter mile away.

We loved our time at the Boutique House! You cannot beat the location! The property was adorable, and even more important (in my opinion) clean! William and Noni were fantastic to work with, very communicative, making sure everything was just right. Without hesitation, I will stay here again if I ever make it back to Crete.

Great location. Great wine great restaurants. The best Chania has to offer right out your front door. Host was very attentive and responsive, and the property had everything you could need. We will return.

The best

We absolutely loved our stay. Noni was an amazing communicator and helped to arranged our airport ride and rental car. She also had a wealth of suggestions for what we could do during our stay. William met us at the apartment and helped answer all questions. The apartment itself is flawless and they thought of every detail—raki, outlet converters, snacks etc. the location was perfect—we often sat on the roof terrace overlooking the harbor. We can’t recommend this place enough. You will love it.

Amazing Owner and Property

I’ll start by saying the location is perfect, the view is amazing, the value is great, and the town is beautiful. But that’s just the start. What made our stay so much better was the incredible and friendly service provided by the owner. She went out of her way to assist us in booking tours and taxis and answered every question we had. Just a wonderful experience all around — one of the best I’ve had on VRBO.

Perfect Location!

Beautiful property in old city with gorgeous water view and easy access to tons of shops and restaurants. Noni was exceptional and helped us book a trip to hike to the Samaria Gorge and provided lots of useful info about different potential places to visit. William, owner, greeted us upon arrival to ensure we knew how to work everything and left many snacks and water for us. Felt like family the entire time of our stay. Highly encourage anyone to choose this property in Chania to feel like home.

Absolutely Fabulous

This home is gorgeous, and the hosts are amazing. In addition to beautiful views, and EVERYTHING that you could need while traveling, Noni, Georgia and family make you feel so welcome. The welcome gifts made by the family (cakes, condiments, and wines, and more), the restaurant recommendations, helping with travel arrangements.....this is by far the best VRBO I have stayed at! 1000% recommend!

Awesome!

We spent a glorious 3 days in this apartment--waking each morning to warm sunshine as we sipped coffee on the east facing deck overlooking the inlet and watching early morning walkers and runners and listening to the hustle and bustle of the restaurants surrounding the water preparing for the day.Our host was fantastic--explaining, on check-in, all the necessary things to enjoy our stay and use of his home. There were chocolates on our beds at arrival, cookies and cake and coffee pods and water, juice and wine in the fridge for our enjoyment. We've been to a number of VRBO's in the past, and none have surpassed this one!A huge thankyou to our hosts for making our stay wonderful!

Pleasant stay in ideal location

Lovely apartment with great terrace overlooking the Venetian harbour. There is a spiral staircase leading to the terrace which is quite challenging for those with mobility problems, but worth the effort. The apartment is very well equipped and there was cleaning and linen change halfway through the week. Air conditioning is very efficient which was very welcome as the weather was very hot. I loved being so close to the harbour, watching all the activity, and the Old Town with its little narrow streets and tempting shops was just round the corner. I wish I was still there!

Chania Paradise

Three friends who’ve traveled extensively stayed at this luxury boutique house. It was even better than described. The location is perfect, the house is very unique given it age and recent renovation. It was very clean and the host offered multiple amenities. We stayed here at the end of a ten day vacation in Greece and it was the perfect stay to end our vacation. The owner greeted us, even though we arrived very late and showed us all around. The host was extremely helpful in making arrangements for us and we highly recommend this boutique house to anyone traveling to Chania. Ruth

Just Wow

I have stayed in numerous VRBOs since the inception of the concept, as well as countless hotels throughout the years (nicer brands with amenities), and Casa Alba is hands down, without question or hesitation, the most wonderful experience I’ve ever had. The casa itself is charming, the location is perfect (in the center of everything with shops and restaurants literally at your feet), the view is amazing (I mean you stare at the famous lighthouse directly from your balcony), and the service and warmth that you get from Ms. Alba and her team is unlike anything I’ve experienced. From homemade cakes waiting for you at your arrival, to a refrigerator full of water and drinks; to bathrooms stocked with anything you might have forgotten at home, to regular phone calls checkin to see how your stay is and if there’s anything you need….we felt like we were staying with family. - family that truly cares about us! Additionally, the beds in EVERY room were soft and comfortable. The sheets were cool to lay on, and the embroidered towels were a perfect touch. When we go back to Chania (not if), this is the only place we will stay! Thank you Alba and William! BTW, the pictures of this place posted online don’t do it even a single bit of justice of how beautiful it is…simply stunning and charming.
