Holly Hill, The Thomas Grant Harbison House, is a well known estate near downtown Highlands featuring beautiful grounds, three porches, and the most dreamy beds and bedding. Take a nap on the second floor sleeping porch, get cozy in the downstairs library/media room, or stroll through the secret garden that includes a beautiful fountain. There are so many places to relax and enjoy this special and peaceful place.
* Sleeps 12+ Five bedrooms-four king beds and a bunk room with two queens and a giant beanbag that opens to an xtra queen.

Everything was great. Loved the big kitchen and living room. Plenty of space for gathering. Easy access to town. Could have used 1 more bathroom, but we worked it out. Thx for s'mores basket. We weren't able to get outside but kids enjoyed the crackers/marshmallows/and chocolate just the same. Thanks for the cheese and crackers and wine too. We brought salami, and ham and cheese as well so 1sr night we we made a charcuterie board. That was our dinner. Janet informative, accommodating and very pleasant. Thx for everything. We love the Highlands.

Janet, the host was great. Very informative and helpful. The house is really cool and unique. Everyone thought the grounds outside were top notch. The house has so much history. The beds are super comfortable, and the kitchen and dining room are perfect for 8-10 people. 4-5 minutes form town make it a desirable location for sure.

Great house for our family to spend Columbus Day in the Highlands area. Slept 8 adults and 4 kids easily. Close to highlands. Nice firepit and outdoor seating to spend time outside. The host was super communicative and made us feel very welcome with a gift upon arrival! Great stay!

We had a great time in Higlands. This was a great mountain house and perfect for our family! So many great gathering places outside with a large firepit area and great porches. It was very well stocked with everything we needed. The concierge Janet was soo helpful too. She greeted us with charcuterie supplies , wine and flowers and all the supplies for s’mores. Just over the top service l!!! We will definitely make this house a yearly favorite for our family. See you next year! Thank you so much !!!

Beautiful private setting among 100 year old trees. Janet, our terrific concierge was very responsive and made sure everything was going well. Perfect home for family reunion. 10 of us were able to spend quality time together around the very comfortable and expansive dining room table while others prepared meals in the adjacent extremely well equipped kitchen, and also have our own space to retreat. Special place and only took about 5 minutes to get to the center of Highlands for shopping and restaurants.

We truly enjoyed this quaint home. Was convenient to town and many hikes. Large living/dining spaces and outdoor porches. Only issue was with the water temperature in showers. You can only run one shower at a time or else you get cold water. Would definitely rent again!

The property is very nice, set among large trees. However, the road next to the lot was very busy and loud. We were very pleased with the property manager, Janet. She was very responsive to our needs.

The perfect family gathering house!

This property stole our hearts! Such a lovely home for my parents' 70th birthdays and 45th wedding anniversary celebration with my sisters, spouses, and our parents! We all fell in love with the charm and beauty of this hidden paradise only 4 minutes from the heart of Highlands. Janet was so accessible and made everything easy, and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Great older highlands home with a vintage setting and feel. Close to town. Janet, the concierge, was fantastic! Super welcoming and had the house just right for our stay. We will definitely go back!

BEAUTIFUL home 5 minutes from downtown!!

We had an amazing stay at Janet’s home for the holiday weekend! We have nothing but fantastic things to say about Janet and her stunning property! 1. Host was extremely kind and communicative 2. Proximity of home to downtown was unbeatable 3. Stunning property grounds with multiple sitting areas 4. Comfortable beds/sleeping arrangements for 12 guests 5. Seamless check in/check out process and much, much more! If you are wanting to visit Highlands, I highly recommend this property. Most certainly will be back!

Everything you could want.

The house and property were perfect for our 5 day Easter Break with family. Multiple porches with seating, swings, benches and day beds were wonderful but the best part was there were gates that kept the little one from wandering out into the yard. The multiple outdoor spaces worked for eating outdoors and making smores by the fabulous firepit with plenty of provided firewood.( more delivered while we were there). There was room for older kids to kick around the soccer ball, play catch and the house has its own corn hole. Plenty of comfortable, multiple outdoor seating areas and even a little secret garden. The kitchen has a separate cabineted ice maker and is well stocked with anything that you might need. Bathrooms are stocked with amenities and plenty of paper products. WiFi and WiFi calling were strong. You are less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Highlands HVAC was ample for the house even with all the in and out going on. Showers could have been hotter for some of us but was fine at sinks, kitchen and laundry. Janet was super easy to work with and took the time to meet us at the house, show us around and answer any questions. Should our plans with a large group take us to Highlands again we will most definately try to stay here again.

Mountain get away

Charming historic cottage with many modern upgrades. Beautifully landscaped. Very well decorated. Nice layout & spacious for our group of 7. The outside areas were not as clean as I would expect. The host was very responsive, and left flowers, wine & s’mores which was a nice touch. House was very close to town for convenience but proximity to the road created a lot of road noise at all hours. The Viking range did not work and we seemed to run out of hot water after 2 showers.overall we had a good experience!

This house was perfect for our trip! We had such a great time together and could not have imagined a better place to do it. Nice Property and Grounds

We had a great time celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. The house is spacious for the 3 other couples we hosted. It’s a 100 year old home, but with several nice upgrades as you can see by the photos. The chef’s kitchen is beautiful!! We did experience an issue with the gas range when trying to cook pizzas, but overcame that by using the charcoal grill.

Nice House near Highlands

Management was great - Janet was very responsive and helpful - made us feel welcome. It's an old house in the woods - heavily wooded - a lot of growth around it. Nice to sit on the porch in the morning with coffee. The owner could put a bit more investment into the home - felt more like a camp than a house at times.
