Clean and Nice place to stay

Stayed for my birthday weekend. The owners were very nice and checked on us often to make sure our stay was up to standards

Nice with an asterisk

I wish I had read previous reviews more closely. While the unit was nice, clean and well located, there were issues that kept us from fully using the property. The main A/c unit for apartment did not work. Mercifully the ones in the bedrooms did however, in SA heat, that meant we didn’t do anything but walk through to our rooms. We might have used the patio or yard however those were in terrible condition with a default pool and rubbish in the back. There were large branches down in the yard at the time of our stay and that meant we had to walk around in the road for a few hundred feet to use the requested parking spot. This could have been avoided if lock access was given to the back of the unit - which it was not. So the unit met our needs (we just went out to eat), clean and safe but had we required the use of the kitchen, livingroom, dining room or yard - it would have been a different experience

Disappointed

Based on the property description we were excited for our trip, but ended up being disappointed. Cooling was done by 3 window units. Not a problem for us if they all worked. The main A/C only blew around the air in the room as it did not cool (the compressor never turned on). Management did respond quickly and sent someone out to look at it but it wasn’t fixed during our stay. The faucet in the hallway bathtub sprayed out water in places it wasn’t supposed to when the shower was activated. Again, management responded quickly and sent someone out but again this was not fully fixed during our stay. Also, one of the outlets in the kitchen didn’t work. Management said they’d send someone to look at but don’t think that ever happened while we were there. Finally, the back yard, where the pool was located, was overgrown and weedy. This made the back yard and pool virtually unusable. The mowers came while we were there but they didn’t touch the back yard. We ended up not being around all that much and wouldn’t have had much time for swimming so we didn’t mention this to the property management during our stay. However, had we intended on swimming every day we definitely would have mentioned the condition of the back yard to them. Management was responsive and seemed to care about our issues we were having but in the end none of the concerns we brought to them were fully taken care of during our stay. All in all we were just disappointed with our stay.

Clean but Could use some improvement.

The positives are property is old but clean, simple design, spacious for the 4 guests, good and quiet neighborhood, host easy to contact. Easy instructions were given. Things that can improve.: - need to do some pest control as we found cockroaches daily. The host was very responsive and sent someone the next day of our arrival. We got to the property late at night. - Part of the rule is to turn off air conditioning. It was hot when we got home at night and cannot cool off for at least 2 hours. And when you’re tired and just want to relax this can be very frustrating. Please change this rule so the air conditioning stays on (maybe on a higher temp like 76). The master bathroom was warm by mid morning until early evening during our stay (June). - Parking in the back is tight and on our last night someone else was parked. The ceiling fan in living room makes noise.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very helpful, had a quick response and accommodating when needed. It’s a cute place and convenient to get around. We feel comfortable recommending this house.

Our experience

Had a great stay and we were very pleased. The only opportunity is to Mayne get a hair dryer for the ladies and put a curtain on the back door so people can't see inside the property at night. Nice place!

Nice property.

I stayed here while in town for my brother's funeral. The property is beautiful and spacious. I only had one issue with the smoke detectors going off about 1am in the morning. Nothing triggered it, so I guess it was a malfunction with the wiring. The property manager was reachable and advised us to take the batteries out. That didn't work so we had to remove the smoke detectors. They sent someone out, but they were not able to fix the issue while we were there. That still didn't ruin our stay and we still felt safe because there was another portable detector in the unit that was not malfunctioning. We would stay there again.
