Built as a winter or summer escape for a couple or small family, this beautiful four season cabin is a great way to experience the Northwoods of Wisconsin and Hayward area in a modern, well-appointed, aesthetically rich space designed with relaxation in mind.

A heavy emphasis has been placed on aesthetics, comfort, usability of space, and privacy.

This cabin is brand new as of August 2021. The owner has 13 years of vacation rental listing experience with multiple listings in multiple countries.

Note: Summer and Fall calendars have check-in and check-out day restrictions intended to prevent 1 night vacancy gaps from forming. Please select the day before or after for check-in/check-out dates if your preferred dates aren't available.

Great getaway experience! The cabin was better than the pictures on the website; clean, cozy and in an absolutely fantastic spot! The views out the windows (which were very clean) were amazing every minute. Loved the wood stove! Excellent draw and easy to start! Thanks again for a satisfying stay!

We had such a wonderful time at Cassidy's Hayward Haus. The property itself is gorgeous and so serene. Nestled in the woods on a peaceful bay of the lake. The cabin is beautiful and very well appointed. Clean, cozy, comfy, airy, full of everything you'd need, well designed and perfectly located. It was one of the most relaxing retreats we've ever been on and perfect for celebrating our anniversary. We were so sad to leave. And can't wait to visit again. Cassidy was easy to work with and communicative. Highly recommend, especially for couples.

Hayward Haus was incredible! My husband and I loved it so much that we now want to build our retirement house in this style! I know Cassidy can’t control the weather, but we lucked in to 5 gorgeous fall days of hiking in the area. The cabin has everything you need, the wood stove was easy to use (thanks to the lumberjack providing wood ;-) ), and breakfast on the deck looking out at that view every morning was just what we needed. We saw bald eagles and listened to loons while laughing at the geese that populated the cove. When you’re here, do yourself a favor, turn off your phone, ignore the news, and get out there on the lake in the canoe. Can’t wait to return!

Such a lovely place in the woods! It was peaceful, pretty and serene - perfect for the 2 of us. The cabin is furnished beautifully and tastefully - just like the photos. I recommend the canoe to Eagle Island and as recommended in the house binder, we took a hike to St Peters Dome, it’s a good workout and worth it to see the fall colors. Recommend Pine Ridge Supper Club for their fish fry (that also includes chicken), Chippewa Inn for their prime rib and Tally Ho for their dinner specials. This cabin is a great place and hope to return next year.

If you are someone who appreciates details, you will love this cabin. Beyond the fact that it is BEAUTIFUL, the all glass back wall provides a stunning view of the water and woods, every conceivable sitting area is addressed, you can have a fire whether you are inside or out, everything you need in the kitchen is provided, it is immaculately clean, and bonus, you can walk to a restaurant / bar in 5 minutes. This house is simply lovely. I had kept it book marked for 2 years wanting to stay here simply for the aesthetic, and I was not disappointed. (I honestly couldnt' believe how every piece of trim in this house was square and no caulk was used anywhere! LOL) Tips: Walk 5 min and eat at Weber's Tavern, the food is great and the owners were wonderful. You are 15 minutes outside of town where there are plenty of nice little shops and local businesses / restaurants. Go to the Moccasin Bar (the oldest building still standing in Hayward) and see the themed taxidermy (honestly its hilarious) and have a bloody mary. The building looks rough but the inside is clean and is a local gem. Canoeing from the dock - def read the instructions in the book before you try. You need to know you may have to carry the canoe to get it out into the main lake and that was a no-go for us.

Cassidy's Haus is splendid! It's beautifully decorated and has lots of plants and windows. It's very modern, and when you rent a place in the woods, often they're filled with grandma's old furniture. Not the case here. Very clean. Spectacular view and very, very peaceful. I feel connected to her a little because I loved her decor and we have similar interests like mushrooms, rocks, and enjoying the outdoors. Our adult children who came with enjoyed the canoe and that hammock and patio swing as well as the firepit. We also got meats from a local butcher and grilled at her place. It's not big enough for more than 4 people, but for that 4 of us, it was a delight!

Fantastic and Private

Very nice

We had a great time. The cabin is so nice and in a great location. Ample firewood provided and the kitchen has everything you need. The king bed was super comfy. We had a rainy day and the covered deck was awesome, we were still able to be outside and stay dry. We saw numerous deer and even heard some loons. Close to downtown Hayward and a short drive to the casino. We would love to stay again.

Amazing Lake House

The Hayward Haus was the perfect retreat. The views are beautiful, the indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable and clean, and it was a quiet and peaceful place with plenty of outdoor activities to do nearby. We needed more time!

Amazing Summer Wisconsin Getaway!

We stayed 7 days / 6 nights at this amazing home in early July – and we wished we could have stayed a few more weeks, it was so awesome! At other vacation homes we’ve rented, the cutlery and pans were subpar. Not with this home! I love to cook and this was an extremely well-appointed kitchen. The dishes, silverware, kitchen tools, etc. were complete. The bathroom was lovely with the defogger / lit mirror. All of the wood in the home is gorgeous. The dining room table is a showstopper! As is the kitchen island and the gorgeous mirror in the living room with the custom wood frame. All of the furniture and the king-sized bed were exceptional. The highlight of the home was the views – from the home and from the covered deck. With a hammock chair and hammock on the deck, along with comfy lounge furniture and table and chairs, it was one of our favorite spots to watch the eagles, loons, ducks, geese, deer and chipmucks. The multiple sliding doors with screens on the home allowed us to bring the summer breezes in when the mosquitos did their early evening hunting. We didn’t use the canoe but when we rent it next time, we will! The lake by the dock is shallow and the water is crystal clear. We had access to the lake with a short paddle trip. If you go into Hayward, there are lots of great shops and activities. But the show is the cabin. We needed a relaxing getaway. And it was perfect for us! We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing Cabin!

An amazing cabin! Absolutely beautiful from the inside to the outside. The owner thought of every detail from heated flooring to a wall of windows overlooking the lake. The location was perfect, just a 15 min drive to downtown Hayward. Within an hour upon arrival we saw a dozen deer and an Eagle. The owner Cassidy, answered my questions promptly. We look forward to staying here again. A wonderful experience!

Winter Wonderland

A perfect escape for a few days. South facing views of the lake were remarkable. The elegant simplicity and efficiency of this modern cabin were delightful! Highly recommend.

Magic Frozen Lake Retreat

Stunning views and a beautiful house with all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable! We arrived in the late afternoon with temperatures in the low 20s. It was wonderful to realize that the housekeeper had made us a fire in the wood burning fireplace! About 10 minutes to the OO Birkie Trail head. We’ll be back!!

I grew up in Hayward and love it. I use this cabin when I return home and am happy to share it with travelers the rest of the time.

I'm an avid fisherman, cross country skier, and mushroom forager....and this is a great spot for all of those activities.

I own another VRBO cabin on this same lake and have 10 years of vacation rental experience with 7 other listings in Wisconsin and Costa Rica.

This is a uniquely modern design for the area, yet the classic northwoods experience is kept in tact. Upper Twin Lake is an exceptional lake for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and bird watching. The home is located 5 minutes from the principal trailhead ("OO")on the American Birkebiener trail. Ski, bike, hike, and trail run whenever you want. The home is in a great location for supper clubs and bars, and is a convenient 10 miles from Hayward.

This is a brand new home with a modern design and was built to convey a grand sense of space and aesthetic even though it's size is modest (1240 sq. ft.) . All of the space is very usable, and again, modern design and furnishings are a hallmark of the home.
