Beautiful view from our deck, like you're in a tree house - 10 Minutes to Wisp

Witness a glorious sunrise! Have breakfast on our deck, breathe in the pure mountain air and marvel at our majestic view of the western MD mountains. No mosquitoes! RENTERS ARE HAPPY @ SUNRISE! CHECK OUR REVIEWS! Owner away from computer from 2/6/25 to 2/10/25. Please do not make requests for reservations during that time. I will be happy to answer any questions or help make a reservation when I return.

Visit the Discovery Center at Deep Creek State Park, swim or go boating in the lake. Summer days are warm; evenings nice and cool for sleeping. Autumn Glory is fantastic in the fall. In the winter you can ski at wonderful Ski Wisp (only 10 minutes).

Then, enjoy a drink in front of our stone fireplace or relax in the hot tub while the kids play foosball, cards, board games or the keyboard in our spacious den downstairs (equipped with a propane stove). Go out on the deck in the evening to view a wonderful Heaven full of stars and, if you're lucky, a full moon also! Life doesn't get much better than this!

Linens are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Owner pays cleaning bill! Limited cell phone coverage.
$550 - 2 nights, $125 each additional night, $1,150 for week, + 8% Garrett Co. tax. Pets allowed ONLY with owner's permission. There is an extra fee for pets. Owner is very allergic to cats. No cats allowed at any time! Rental over Christmas/New Year time period must be for a week.

The home was spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a nice bonus, after a day on the slopes. The host clearly communicated throughout the experience. I would recommend this home to others.

Spacious kitchen fully stocked and opened to the family room with comfortable furniture and a fireplace. New gas grill on top deck. Terrace level is spacious with a wet bar. Hot tub is clean with great jet pressure. Home is clean and host responded to questions immediately. The home is also very convenient to Swallow Falls, Deep Creek Park and restaurants. We had partial lake view since Autumn leaves are still on trees but should have an open view in Winter. Enjoy!

The property was nice, location was excellent for our needs. We got good value in our stay. A couple of notes, the picture of the room with the bunk bed is no longer accurate. We expected to make use of that bed but found that it wasn’t at the house. It would be nice if the motion sensored light in the front of the house stayed on during the night. When we arrived, after 9:00pm, it was hard to see the front porch area and difficult to see the lockbox to get the key. Also, the dishwasher was a little difficult to start. We just kept pushing bottoms and listened for it to start. Overall a good value for a weekend stay compared to other houses in the area.

The house was very clean and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. It was wonderful to have multiple areas for people to gather and not feel crowded. Communication was excellent and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed having coffee on the deck in the morning and the hot tub was enjoyed in the evening. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

Annual Ski Trip

Overall, the stay at Sunrise was very nice. The house was clean and spacious. An issue arose with the hot tub, and it was inoperable all weekend, which was very disappointing. Ann was responsive and did issue us a 10% credit for the lack of amenity. The description of the house, in our opinion, should have been clearer that there is no Wi-Fi. Also, the cell phone service was limited to being right by the sliding doors in the main part of the house. You could not use your phones in the back bedrooms or downstairs which was frustrating. That being said, the house worked out for our annual ski trip as the location was great and had everything we needed for the weekend.

Peaceful, quiet and clean place with everything you need

The place was exactly as described, clean and equiped with everything you need. It is a very short drive to deep Creek lake (5 min). Close to stores and restaurants 10-15 min. Communication with Ann was great, before and during our stay. We had an issue with the water pressure and she immediately called me to solve it. The place is big enough, great for families. The only detail is that there is no wifi and Verizon signal is weak there, so if you need to work connected to the web not the best option. In our case it was great since we had no excuses to disconnect from the devices a little bit Thanks Ann.

Clean and spacious

We enjoyed our stay here, there is no WiFi which we knew but we also had no cell service. There is no view of the lake which is one of the two things we wanted this year for our trip. Ann is great to deal with and answers all your questions promptly. The only tip I would give is change the pictures on the site it is very deceiving to see the picture of the deck and not have a view of the lake at all.

Beautiful views and a well loved home

We choose to stay at Sunrise for our honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. There are grocery stores close to the home and we took advantage of this and stayed in most of our stay. That being said, I would strongly recommend that your initial check in be done before dark. There is no outside lighting at the front of the home or on the street.The view from the hot tub is breathtaking. We stayed in for hours without even realizing how much time had passed. I will mention the home is older and well used. There are cracks in the ceiling, walls and around windows. If you are looking for a resort styled vacation this is not it. If you are looking for a home away from home please consider Sunrise. *We did not have need to contact a property manager so we rated that as neutral *

As advertised

We stayed here for a Mountain bike race in Deep Creek State Park. The house is convenient to the park. The decor is dated but the house is otherwise fine. No wifi (which was listed accurately) was tough as Verizon didn't have cell coverage there either. Plenty of space for the 8 people we had.

Gorgeous mountain home

Huge home with 7 beds split between 3 floors, lovely open floor plan, and an additional family space in the basement. Gorgeous back porch with only woods surrounding you, easy to forget there are neighbors. Well stocked kitchen, and our host gave us ample information about both the home and the towns nearby.

Quick weekend stay

We stayed at this property while in town for a wedding. There were 6 of us, so the 3 bathrooms were perfect! Each couple had their own space. Beds were comfortable, water was hot and the house was very clean. Everything needed to make our short stay comfortable was provided.

I am retired, live in Anne Arundel County, MD, originally from Vermont. My family and I love the beautiful country atmosphere in Garrett County, MD. We are skiers and enjoy the great outdoors. Sunrise is a very special retreat for us, but we like sharing our home with other families.

Sunrise is spacious, has a lovely view and is situated on Glendale Rd. which is plowed quickly in the winter - a real plus for snowy Garrett County!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Deep Creek State Park is 5 minutes from our home. There are many activities at the Discovery Center. A lovely afternoon can be enjoyed with a picnic lunch (tables and grills are supplied) at the beach, swimming, playing volleyball and just taking in the breathless view of the lake. You can launch your boat at the Park also. Movie theaters are only 5 minutes in the other direction.
