Nature at it's best. Walking distance to Catawba Falls, trout fishing, hiking, hunting. Local grocery store/food in town. 9 miles from Black Mountain which offers local breweries, restaurants, social life, Live music. 20 miles from Asheville. Recently opened Brewery (Hillman Brewery) in town, 4miles away with great food.

Other things to note:
We have WiFi and Directv and a jet tub to enjoy besides being in a beautiful house surrounded by peaceful nature!! We also offer breakfast food for our guest!
(Catawba Falls is unfortunately closed May 2, 2022 until possibly Spring 2023 for major improvements) but there are a lot of beautiful waterfalls to be seen just a few miles away!

One of, if not, the best vacation rental experiences we've had! The host was very accommodating when our travels plans slightly changed last minute. The home was spotless and so cozy. I feel like so many short term rentals nowadays are furnished with aesthetically pleasing but cheap, poor quality items and furniture, but this home is the exact opposite - everything is comfortable and of quality. It truly felt like a home. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in the home, including leaving fresh muffins and breakfast items for us for the next morning. To top it off, the outdoor space is wonderful and the home was very conveniently located. We plan to book this home the next time we're in the area. Can't recommend more.

Great stay in Western NC!

This was a really nice stay just 30 mins West of Asheville where my family and I had to be this last weekend on short notice. It was convenient to book, check in/out, and everything was very pleasant during our stay. I personally love little neighborhoods like this that are tucked away and private, especially in the mountains. 5/5 stars!

Beautiful

This home is fitted with everything you need for an enjoyable mountain stay. Its quiet with a kitchen that has everything you need to cook, if you choose to, but is within a few miles of Black Mountain restaurants if you want to eat out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back. One of the better VRBO experiences I've had.

Quiet area with a perfect front porch near Asheville

Sitting on the front porch of this cabin was perfect! You can hear all of creation chirping. The fridge was stocked full of eggs and bacon as well as other goodies for a great breakfast. Also, you are only a short 30min drive from Asheville. A great place at a great price. Would definitely visit again!

Warm, welcoming, comfortable...one of the best.

Highly recommended! This was one of the warmest and most welcoming places I've stayed at. The house was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities (a welcoming note, provisions in the fridge, muffins, coffee...) were outstanding. Communication with the host was easy and clear. I wish we could have stayed longer, and would gladly come back again.

Everything you could ever want

You will not find a better stocked house anywhere. From eggs in the refrigerator to a wonderful waterbed. We enjoy having family gathering there, plenty of room and a very complete kitchen.

Beautiful, well-maintained home in perfect mountain location. The owners clearly care a lot about this home and we tried to take care of it like our own. Kitchen was the most well-stocked of any short-term rental I've ever stayed in. Lots of space, comfortable beds, every possible thing you could need to make a meal and relax with family and friends. Very family friendly space. This house is perfectly situated up a steep, private driveway right near the very popular Catawba Falls trailhead. The yard is private and in mid-Oct, is the perfect setting for a cozy fall rental. The host was very easy to get a hold of and they provided breakfast supplies which came in VERY handy both mornings we were there. I would stay here 100 more times and hope I get the chance to again sooner than later. Thank you for an amazing VRBO experience!

July 4th Visit

We booked this to visit friends and enjoy the July 4th events in Montreat NC. It was much more economical than the Black Mtn area properties. We arrived to find the house decorated for the 4th with breakfast treats waiting for us! We had a wonderful stay. It was just a short hop over the mountain to get to Montreat. The new Catawba Falls Trail is literally around the corner. Due to parking demand, we actually just walked there to hike the trail. The house is secluded in the woods but just a short driveway up to it. A great stay with no issues.

EXCELLENT GETAWAY IN THE WOODS!

Very beautiful home in the woods. Had everything we needed and then some for my wife, my two young boys, and myself to get away for a while and spend some quality time. together. A fully equipped kitchen, 3 double beds (one of them is a water bed), TV, internet, hiking trails on the property, board games, nice front and back porch to sit outside and enjoy nature, just to name a few of the great things about this house. We also enjoyed the Rodeo down the street in Old Fort on July 3rd and the fireworks that followed! Kayla was always quick to respond to any questions we had through the VRBO messenger. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home for a couple of days to get away from it all!!

Everything you need here!!

Host was very informative & communicated well. Check in was a breeze & host always answered prompltly. Home is very well stocked- I was surprised that upon arrival ice, a case of water & fresh eggs were provided. That was awesome being that I forgot to get ice. Also, muffins were on the counter as a complimentary upon our arrival- we ate them all. There is nothing you could need here. My son and I stayed while moving him into college at Montreat. The area was great and the home has lots of options around it. Thank ya'll so much for such a wonderful & relaxing stay. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful setting, with goodies in the fridge

We have stayed in rentals from Maine to Florida and this was by far the best equipped. It had more choices for coffee than Starbucks. Breakfast items were in the refrigerator, with a delicious pumpkin roll ready to eat (ignore the scales in the bathroom). Speaking of the bathroom, it was like a spa with a Jacuzzi tub, seated soaps and oil lamps. Beautiful location, away from the road , with a wooded driveway.

Feels like home!

Kayla went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. I had indicated that we would be Apple Picking prior to checking in and she had a fresh Apple Pie waiting for us when we arrived! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast items left for us as well. An overall great experience and we hope to come back to visit soon!

It's a lovely home, clean and comfortable and well cared for. The owner was wonderful to interact with, and she makes some darn good cookies. The location and the property was great. I will stay here again.

We came into town for a girls getaway weekend! We were so thankful to find this cabin and location!

We had a wonderful night stay at the cabin! Kayla was so thoughtful in all the details. From turning on lights for us when we would be arriving late and the most delicious lemon pound cake waiting on us.

The best!

My family and I had the best time! They thought of everything for us. A delicious cake was waiting for us when we arrived and basic breakfast needs for our first morning there. They literally thought of everything we might need which made it so easy and enjoyable. We will defiantly want to stay again!
