Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to provide a bit of additional context for future guests. This cabin is an original structure over 200 years old and is intentionally preserved as a historic, rustic experience rather than a modern build. Under normal circumstances, the cabin’s heating and air conditioning maintain comfortable temperatures in both summer and winter seasons. However, during this stay, our area experienced record-low temperatures and an extreme ice storm. Conditions were so severe that many homes in the region—modern and historic alike—were unable to maintain typical indoor temperatures. We also want to note that we were not made aware of any concerns during the stay, nor were we notified that the guests were leaving early. Had we been contacted, we had emergency heaters available and would have been happy to step in immediately to assist. We do appreciate the kind words about the decor and charm of the cabin. We encourage guests to carefully consider the historic nature of the property and seasonal weather conditions when booking, and we value feedback that helps set clear expectations for future visitors.
