Majestic Basque Chalet

The most charming chalet in the beautiful community of Alta Sierra. Alta Sierra is full of adventure for all seasons. In the winter you can enjoy; skiing, snow boarding, snowmobile riding and snow tubing. In the summer, spring, and fall enjoy the weather while hiking, mountain biking, or casual bike riding. The chalet is just up the mountain from Kernville. Kernville also offers plenty of great activities such as, white water rafting, kayaking, and boating. Spend the day on the river!!! Take the day and visit the Trail of 1000 Giants only 45 minutes from Kernville.
This Chalet is reminiscent of the European getaways surrounding the Pyrenees mountains where you will find the town of Lourdes, France. The design and feel is tranquil with privacy for your group as you reconnect with nature. Enjoy your morning hot drink on the deck as you take in the fresh air and the breathtaking views of the pine trees and the blue water of Lake Isabella in the valley.
The neighborhood is very quiet, you will forget that there are any houses around you. We usually advise our guests to keep the noise to a minimum after 10PM.
You must notify us if you are bringing pets. We will only allow non-shedding dogs. We also follow strict occupancy rules, with no more than 8 people allowed to stay overnight. There is a security camera located in the parking area.

The community has no internet service. We have installed a hotspot device, if too many people connected it may run slower. There may be some difficulty with service at times. Feel free to message us if there are any concerns.
