Hillside Cottage with Expansive Ocean Views

This charming hillside cottage is perched just above Stinson Beach Village and around the corner from the Stinson Beach Market. It features floor to ceiling glass bi-fold doors that provide indoor/outdoor living. The cottage has a gas range and a fully equipped kitchen. There is high-speed-wireless internet, a flat screen HD Smart TV, and a large deck with ocean views. In addition to the queen bed, the unit has a pull out couch that sleeps one or two small children. This sleeper couch is not comfortable for adults. This unit is one of two side-by-side sister cottages that can be rented individually or together at a discount (inquire for rates). The two cottages share one continuous deck (divided by a sliding gate) with panoramic ocean views. Gas Grill. Please note that the property is accessed by a fairly long hillside staircase, and the entrance to the cottage next door (#6) is accessed by passing through the front deck of this cottage( #5). Street parking only. No Pets Allowed. Bed Configuration: 1 Queen, 1 Sofa Bed

It was great overall. It was close to downtown and the beach. The place had almost everything that one could think of. The deck had great views and very nice for sun bathing. The bed was very comfortable and clean.

This was a great little cottage with a beautiful view. Overall, the host was very communicative and welcoming. The couch needs a deep clean, but other than that the property was great! We were lucky enough to not have a neighbor stay right next to us the whole time, so that made the stay a little more peaceful.

Can’t wait to come back!

What an incredible indoor/outdoor beach cottage esperience! So charming and relaxing. The icing on the cake for us with our 2 year old was being pleasantly surprised with a training seat on the toilet for her. We can’t wait to return soon. The only wish for the space would be a better mattress, but it didn't deter us from loving our experience! Thank you!

Peaceful view towards the ocean through the opened wall of windows. Great room was spacious, well supplied kitchen. Large rainfall shower with good water pressure. However, there is no storage for clothing, so we lived out of suitcases for the 5 days we were there. It met our needs.

Beautiful view

Cute place with beautiful view conviniently located to all the Stinson ahops and restaurants. Could use a fan and/or insultation to help cool the place down. And the sofa bed mattress could be relaced. Otherwise lovely.

Well Equipped!

This place was perfect for two and still felt like you could entertain a crowd with all the kitchen equipment and the indoor/outdoor living (cool nano-wall!). Our only complaint is that there are no windows in the living area to keep open at night. It can get a little stuffy.

Semi-Private Unit/ Difficult Entry/Exit

The unit itself was very nice, well appointed and in a great location. It had everything we needed to cook and bake. The fresh loaf of local bread was a really nice surprise. At the time of our stay (May 2024) the staircase down to the unit was under construction. The only way down to the unit was a dangerous trail with wobbly steps. This was a challenging climb in and out, but with luggage, it was a nightmare.

Great cottage!

The cottage was the perfect size for 2! Great views of the town. You can hear the ocean from the deck! Kitchen was stocked well with appliances and spices/essentials. It was a trek up and down the stairs anytime you wanted to leave the cottage. Parking was difficult most of the time, but honestly your within walking distance (down a hill) to restaurants, shops and the beach. It had a heater for the cold nights. No AC but with the windows open it was very comfortable during the hottest times of the day.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love staying here - however couch is looking dirty and outdoor furniture needs power washing. The TV goes on/off and flips what is on the screen randomly. This happens throughout day and night. Rental company tried to fix but was unsuccessful so we unplugged it.

No disclosure about the situation with the cottage next door. They had to walk across our "private" deck everytime they came and went. I would not have rented this property if I had know we would have NO privacy. My wife was sunbathing when the showed up without warning. Not cool. You should have been honest with us.

Incredible Views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was very convenient with expansive views of the ocean and the hills. For the cost I would have expected a little more on the inside. The sofa and sofa pillows were dirty/stained and in need of cleaning. The sofa bed was awful. The deck furniture was dirty/stained and in desperate need of cleaning. The deck could use a powerwash. Many of the dishes were sticky from the open shelving and not having been washed. There were no extra blankets for the sofa bed. The bed in the bedroom could use an update as well. It just seemed that everything needed an update. Kathy in the rental office was wonderful. When the nano doors didn't quite work she had Pine Tree, the handyman come and take a look and he got them to open for us. The customer service was great.It was a great unit to sit on the deck and people watch for sure. The full time neighbors were awesome! We actually had a drink next door one night with them. Super kind and generous people.I'd love to stay again but would need the place to be in better shape.

The property was just as described. The accommodations were perfect for two people. The mattress was very comfortable. We spent most of our time hiking trails and walking the beach but when we got back to #5 it was so delightful to sip cocktails on the deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean! Great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was exactly as depicted and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but the mattress was a problem for us. It's very soft so both of us had sore backs for a week (in one case longer) after our stay. We'd like to come again but only if they get a new mattress. Not being picky, this one was really bad. Very much appreciated the delicious sourdough loaf, thank you!!

The space is perfect for 2, with maybe even the addition of a child. It is very easy to walk to the store, the hiking trails, and restaurants. I love that the whole front of the house basically opens-- with folding windows on a slider. There wers some lightbulbs out, and we needed to buy batteries for the battery-operated (very pretty!) candle. Though I am sure that they are very difficult to maintain in the ocean climate, I feel like the outdoor furniture and cushions could use some rehab. Overall, the location and comfort was great.

The view is everything!

Property could use some updates with sofa (saggy and not so comfortable to sit on). The bed mattress was also a bit uncomfortable as it kind of "dips" in the middle. We are not really fussy people, but upgrades could be implemented to enhance the comfort of renters. I wouldn't stay in this specific property again The property works for 2 people and the outdoor deck space is great.

The place is cozy and yet has the feeling of space because of the nanodoors, which open up on to the front deck. Sharing with near by neighbors passing through to get to their rental was easy and unobtrusive. According to our 15 year old son,the foldout couch is pretty old and worn and could use updating. There are some quirks to the doors and locks, but they are easy to learn and adjust to. Perfect place for a couple, a little tight for 3-4 but doable!
