Mountain View Lodge Helen! Minutes from Downtown!

Located on 4.94 acres with beautiful mountain views located within walking distance to the City of Helen! Close to wineries, water falls, tubing, hiking, events, grocery stores, restaurants, shops, antique malls, and so much more. Unicoi walking trail head for Unicoi State Park is also located right accross the street from the lodge and gives a fun adventure without having to drive to get there. Ā You can also utilize the park at the bottom of the drive for downtown parking.Ā 
When you enter the lodge you are welcomed with an open concept that starts with the coat/mud room and then opens up to a spacious living area accented with an oversized stone fireplace. Ā The living room and sunroom have floor to ceiling windows with magnificent views of Yonah, Sal, and Pink Mountains. Ā Dining areas spread out all over the main level offering a formal dining room for those special events or just hang out in the eat in areas surrounging the living room for that cozy at home feeling. The bedrooms are sectioned off from each other to give added privacy. Bunk room has large sleeping space for bookings that need extra sleeping space for larger guest groups. Ā  The billiard room offers a spacious area for some fun entertainment. Amazing covered patio with beautiful Mountian Views with lots of seating for guest to relax and enjoy a quiet lazy day, special events, or even rainy days are enjoyable, back patio offers a pleasant area to enteratin at night as well with amazing sunsets and sunrises. Ā Hot tub available for guest to also enjoy. Unlike many other cabins and local venues we have tons of private parking for your stay.

Location! We were amazed by the beauty through all of the extra large windows and the beauty of the decor within the walls. The Christmas decorations made our visit even more special. The perfectly stocked kitchen was the cherry on top! The views! The bedrooms! The large family spaces! I feel like I'm gushing, but everything was over-the-top! Teresa's attitude toward making our trip the best it could be was the most appreciated!!!

Four generations celebrated Christmas 2025 at this beautiful lodge, making memories for years to come. Teresa our host owner was amazing. The lodge was decorated beautifully, every nook and cranny spoke Christmas and she made sure we had enough room for stockings on the beautiful rock fireplace mantle for our family of 21. The lodge was spaciest enough for all to spread out or be together. We did not lack for anything, we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. God blessed us with a wonderful family Christmas.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect and very convenient to town but private. The views from the house was spectacular. The house was very clean and well equipped with anything you could possibly need. Itā€™s a true family home. Our family had a wonderful stay and will Definetly be back!!!

Awesome place. We had a family reunion there with 16 people. Enough room for everyone. Host was available and responded quickly. The place is very close to Helen, but very private when you get back. The hill is steep to walk to Helen for us older folks, but a piece of cake for those in shape. Overall, an excellent stay and would come back again.

Very spacious cabin home. The views were amazing. We saw deer every day including a fawn! Plenty of room and the kids enjoyed the provided toys. We loved being right next to the state park where we could jump on the trail with the dog. The walk into town was short but steep. A perfect place for a family get together!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Helen, and our host, Theresa, was responsive and accommodating. The house was large enough for our family of 24, and we were able to spread out and define our space without feeling crowded. The kitchen was well stocked, and having two washing machines was helpful. Parking was plentiful; however, garbage disposal was not. The receptacles were not large enough for the amount of waste we produced. Another downside was that the room setup description differed from the actual setup. They were in the middle of renovations of the main bunk room upstairs and adding a full bath. We could not use the toilet upstairs. Otherwise, it's close to downtown and in the middle of the action, so that was a plus! Would recommend!

Property was beautiful and well-maintained. There were a few improvements taking place, but did not affect us. There were plenty of beds and bedrooms, so everyone had a fine place to sleep. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. It was a great experience. Everyone enjoyed their time there.

This was an absolutely perfect place for our extended family vacation. We had 21 of us in total and had ample room throughout the house. Was nice that each family/couple had their own bathroom. Bonus space upstairs for teens to lounge. Outdoor space was perfect for evening fires and card games. I can not say enough about the location!!! The kids could walk two minutes down the private driveway and be on the Unicoi/Helen trail. The house was tucked up on a hill, right at the tail end of Helen and super easy walking distance to town. The host was easily accessible and very accommodating. Two fridges on site plus bonus mini fridge upstairs. Blackstone, smoker and grill outside was more than what we needed for our party of 21 July 4th BBQ. The hot tub was also a hit for evening summer nights. We would absolutely love to stay there again. Had an amazing time and wish we stayed longer than 4 nights!!!

Company morale

We stayed here for a company fishing trip and had the most relaxing weekend! The weather didn't go well for fishing, but the team-building was priceless. I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect for us.

Our experience at Mountain View

Was able to accommodate all of our different family dynamics. Everyone had their own room and the spillover was in the loft area so great. We really enjoyed the house and the view was amazing as well.

Great overall

My family stayed here with our extended family with a total of 23 people for Christmas. Good things: The view is absolutely amazing. The porch is expansive and perfect for large groups to gather The location of the house is fantastic. We walked to Helen for our morning coffee one morning and went on a hike the other 2 mornings. The beds are comfy..even the kids room beds that my husband and I got stuck in. The communication with the owner was amazing Things that could have been better: The 7th bedroom with 6 beds is not quite a bedroom as it has a lookout window that lets noice in. The toilet was also not working well in that room. Our teens had a hard 3 nights of sleeping. The oven is extremely small for large groups to cook anything. Our Christmas lasagnas barely fit and took much longer than usual The decor was very cluttery. Lots of stuff. If you are used to streamlined minimalistic design, this will make you itch. Itā€™s not a huge deal but Christmas decor along with harvest decor along with random cabin items is just too much. Overall, the cabin and our stay was pretty great. much.

Excellent trip!!!

The property met our needs and is in such a beautiful location! The outdoor fire pit plus the gas logs inside just added that extra special touch to our visit. The host was wonderful to work with in every way! Canā€™t say enough good about her!!! We will definitely book again!!!!

What a beautiful home! We had 25 in town for my sonā€™s wedding at Yonah Mountain and our stay was amazing! The view, hot tub, fire pit, outstanding! Teresa was wonderful and accommodating! Highly recommend for large group!

We had an incredible time at the property! We especially loved the huge outdoor deck space and gorgeous views. Being able to walk to town was also incredibly convenient! We would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Gathering Place

House was perfect for a large family get together. It was a short walk to the trail and about a mile walk to town. Plenty of parking. Also plenty of seating both outdoors and in the dining area. We did bring an electric griddle for cooking breakfast but otherwise the kitchen has everything we needed. If you plan to go tubing or to the waterpark, bring your own beach towels.

Summer Vacation in Helen

Our family of 17 ranging from 2 - 63 had the best time at this Mountain View Lodge. There was more than enough of everything to last us 7 days, plenty of sleeping and dining areas. Teresa was very communicative before and during our stay, definitely would stay here again!

Good home for large families.

Our family very much enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July. There was plenty of room for all of us. (21 including 2 tiny infants) It was great for each family unit to have their own bathroom. Lots of activities in the area if you want to brave the crowds over the 4th - tubing, hiking, mountain coaster, restaurants, etc. We made good use of almost all aspects of the house - corn hole (bring your own bags), hot tub, grill, fire pit. Oven is smallish for a house that size, but there is also a grill and microwave. The area in the back looking out over the mountains is lovely. We spent a lot of time out there.

This is our families happy place. We purchased this lodge with investment in mind but also a place where our family and many others can have a place to gather without having to stay in separate locations. Having the large dining and living areas gives a place to sit and just relax without having to meet up at loud restaurants.

We fell in love with the charm and warmth the minute we walked in. This lodge has so much to offer small groups, or large gatherings with comfort and convenience. We feel the living area is inviting and comfortable to just sit quietly or have a fun gathering with many friends and family. This place gives privacy due to location on top of White Strasse overlooking Helen. White Strasse is located right in downtown with access to parking at the park right in downtown Helen.
